⁶ And there were six stone waterpots standing, according to the purification of the Jews, each containing two or three measures.

² And seeing some of His disciples eating bread with unclean, that is unwashed hands, they found fault. ³ For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they immerse the hands with the fist, holding the tradition of the elders. ⁴ And coming from the market, they do not eat without immersing. And there are many other things which they received to hold: dippings of cups, and of utensils, and of copper vessels, and couches. ⁵ Then the Pharisees and scribes questioned Him, Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?

²⁵ Then a question from John's disciples arose with the Jews about purifying.

²⁶ that He might sanctify it, cleansing it by the washing of the water in the Word,

² of the baptisms, of doctrine, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of dead ones, and of eternal judgment.

¹⁰ but only on foods and drinks, and various washings, and fleshly ordinances, until the time of setting things right has been imposed.

¹⁹ For when every command had been spoken according to Law by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of the calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and he sprinkled both the scroll and all the people,
