²⁷ John answered and said, A man is able to receive nothing unless it has been given to him from Heaven.

⁹ is it but a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel to bring you near to Himself, to do the service of the tabernacle of Jehovah, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them? ¹⁰ Yea, He has brought you near, and all your brothers, the sons of Levi, with you. And will you seek the priesthood also? ¹¹ Therefore, you and all your company that have gathered against Jehovah, What is Aaron that you murmur against him?

⁵ And it shall be that the man's rod which I choose shall blossom. And I shall cause the murmurings of the sons of Israel, which they are murmuring against you, to cease from Me.

⁴ But Jehovah the God of Israel chose me out of all my father's house to be king over Israel forever. For He chose Judah as the ruler, and my father's house in the house of Judah; and among the sons of my father He was pleased to make me king over all Israel. ⁵ And of all my sons, for Jehovah has given me many sons, He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of Jehovah, over Israel.

⁵ I knew you before I formed you in the belly; and before you came out of the womb, I consecrated you. I appointed you a prophet to the nations.

¹⁶ And I have not hurried away from shepherding after You, nor have I desired the woeful day. You surely know that the utterance of my lips was before Your face.

¹⁵ And Jehovah took me from behind the flock, and Jehovah said to me, Go, prophesy to My people Israel.

²⁵ The baptism of John, from where was it? From Heaven, or from men? And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we shall say, From Heaven, He will say to us, Why then did you not believe him?

¹⁵ And to one indeed he gave five talents, and to another, two, and to another, one, to each according to his ability. And he went abroad at once.

¹² But we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit from God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God. ¹³ Which things we also speak, not in words taught in human wisdom, but in words taught of the Holy Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things . ¹⁴ But a natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

⁵ What then is Paul? And what Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, and to each as the Lord gave?

⁷ For who makes you to differ? And what do you have that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive?

¹¹ But the one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing separately to each as He wills.

¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace which was toward me has not been without fruit, but I labored more abundantly than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.

¹ Paul, an apostle, not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, the One raising Him from the dead,

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, to the saints being in Ephesus and faithful in Christ Jesus:

⁷ of which I was made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me, according to the working of His power. ⁸ This grace was given to me, less than the least of all the saints, to proclaim the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ among the nations,

⁷ to which I was appointed a herald and apostle (I speak the truth in Christ, I do not lie), a teacher of the nations, in faith and truth.

⁴ And no one takes the honor to himself, but he being called by God, even as Aaron also. ⁵ So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become a high priest, but He speaking to Him, "You are My Son; today I have begotten You." Psa. 2:7

¹⁷ every act of good giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom is no change or shadow of turning.

¹⁰ each one as he received a gift, ministering it to yourselves as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. ¹¹ If anyone speaks, let it be as the words of God; if anyone ministers, as by strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ; to whom is the glory and the might forever and ever. Amen.
