⁴⁰ And the Child grew, and became strong in spirit, being filled with wisdom. And the grace of God was upon Him.

²⁴ And the woman bore a son, and called his name Samson. And the youth grew, and Jehovah blessed him.

¹⁸ And Samuel was serving before Jehovah, a boy girded with an ephod of linen.

²⁶ And the boy Samuel went on, growing both in stature and in good looks, both with Jehovah and also with men.

And He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and He shall slay the wicked with the breath of His lips. ⁵ And righteousness shall be the encircler of His loins, and faithfulness the encircler of His reins.

¹ Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of Jehovah revealed? ² For He comes up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form nor magnificence that we should see Him; nor form that we should desire Him.

⁸⁰ And the child grew, and became strong in spirit. And he was in the deserts until the day of his showing to Israel.

⁴⁷ And all those hearing Him were amazed at His intelligence and His answers.
