²⁹ The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir fathered Gilead; of Gilead, the family of the Gileadites.

¹⁴ And Israel sent forth his right hand and put it on the head of Ephraim; and he was the younger. And he put his left hand on the head of Manasseh, crossing his hands; for Manasseh was the first born.

And the name of his brother was Sheresh; and his sons were Ulam and Rakem. ¹⁷ And the sons of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh. ¹⁸ And his sister Hammoleketh bore Ishod, and Abiezer, and Mahalah. ¹⁹ And the sons of Shemida: Ahian, and Shechem, and Likhi, and Aniam.
