⁹ How long will you lie down, O lazy man? When will you arise out of your sleep?

⁸ Understand you beastly ones among the people; yea, you fools, when will you be wise?

²² How long will you love to be simple, you simple ones? And will scorners desire scorn for themselves? And will fools hate knowledge?

³³ A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to lie down, ³⁴ so shall your poverty come stalking, and your want like a man with a shield.

¹⁴ O Jerusalem, cleanse your heart from evil so that you may be saved. Until when will your vain thoughts lodge within you?
