¹ (142) [A Psalm] of instruction for David, when he was in the cave, —a Prayer. I cried to the Lord with my voice; with my voice I made supplication to the Lord.

²¹ Why have you not forgotten my iniquity, and purged my sin? but now I shall depart to the earth; and in the morning I am no more.

¹³ Blessed [be] the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. So be it, so be it.

⁵ For you are my support, O Lord; O Lord, [you are] my hope from my youth.

¹² For he has delivered the poor from the oppressor; and the needy who had no helper.
