¹ SEE how abundant the love of the Fa ther is toward us, for he has called us sons and made us: therefore the world does not know us because it did not know him.

¹² But those who received him, to them he gave power to become sons of God, especially to those who believed in his name;

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he even gave his only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

¹⁸ If the world hate you, know well that it has hated me before you. ¹⁹ If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but you are not of the world, for I have chosen you out of the world; this is why the world hates you.

³ And these things they will do, because they have not known my Father, nor me.

²⁵ O my righteous Father, the world did not know you, but I have known you; and these have known that you have sent me.

⁸ God has here manifested his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

¹⁴ Those who are led by the Spirit of God, are the sons of God. ¹⁵ For you have not received the spirit of bondage, to be in fear again; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Avon, Father, our Father. ¹⁶ And this Spirit bears witness to our spirit, that we are the children of God: ¹⁷ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Jesus Christ; so that if we suffer with him, we shall also be glorified with him.

²¹ Because man himself shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

³² If he did not spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, why will he not freely give us all things with him?

²⁵ As he said also in Hosea, I will call them my people, who were not my own people; and her beloved, who was not beloved. ²⁶ And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said you are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

¹⁸ And will be a Father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, said the LORD Almighty.

²⁶ For you are all the children of God by faith in Jesus Christ.

²⁹ So if you belong to Christ, then you are descendants of Abraham, and his heirs according to the promise.

⁵ To redeem them who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. ⁶ And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts crying, Abba, Avon,ö O Father, our Father.

⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, ⁵ Even when we were dead in our sins, has made us live together with Christ, by whose grace we are saved;

¹⁸ So that you may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the height and depth and length and breadth; ¹⁹ And to know the love of Christ which surpasses all knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fulness of God.

³ For you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

⁹ By this was the love of God toward us made known, for God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. ¹⁰ Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that God loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

⁷ He who overcomes shall inherit these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
