²² When Paul stood in the court at Ar-eopÆa- gus, he said, Men of Athens, I see that above all things you are extravagant in the worship of idols.

¹⁶ Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, he saw the whole city full of idols, and he murmured thereat in his spirit.

³⁵ The mayor of the city finally quieted them, saying, Men of EphÆe-sus, who among men does not know that the city of the EpheÆsi- ans is the seat of great ArÆte-mis and her image that fell from heaven.
