⁹ And when he had spoken these things, he ascended while they were looking at him; a cloud * received him and he was hidden from their sight.

¹⁹ Then our Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, ascended to heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

²⁷ Then they will see the Son of man coming in the clouds, with a large army and great glory.

⁵⁰ And he took them out as far as Bethany, and he lifted up his hands and blessed them. ⁵¹ And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he parted from them, and went up to heaven.

⁶² What then if you should see the Son of man ascending to the place where he was before?

² Until the day when he ascended after he, through the Holy Spirit, had given commandments to the apostles whom he had chosen;

⁸ Wherefore it is said, He ascended on high, and took possession of heaven and gave good gifts to men. ⁹ Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the inner parts of the earth? ¹⁰ So he that descended is the same also that ascended far above all heavens, that he might fulfil all things. ¹¹ And he has assigned some, apostles, and some, prophets, and some, evangelists, and some, pastors, and some, teachers; ¹² For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

⁷ Behold he comes with the clouds; and every eye shall see him, even the men who pierced him: and all the kindreds of the earth shall wail over him. Even so, Amen.

¹² And they heard a great voice from heaven saying to them, Come up here. And they went up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies saw them.

⁴ These are those who were not defiled with women for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wheresoever he goes. These were redeemed by Jesus, from among men, to be the first fruits to God and to the Lamb.
