²⁵ And thou shalt know that thy seed is numerous, and thy offspring as the herbage of the earth.

⁵ And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward the heaven, and count the stars, if thou be able to count them; and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

⁹ And I will turn myself unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you; and I will establish my covenant with you.

⁴ Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy cattle, and the young of thy flocks.

¹³ He had also seven sons and three daughters. ¹⁴ And he called the name of the first Jemimah; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch. ¹⁵ And there were not found such handsome women as the daughters of Job in all the land; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers. ¹⁶ And Job lived after this one hundred and forty years: and he saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, even four generations.

¹⁶ There shall be an abundance of corn in the land; upon the top of the mountains its fruit shall shake like the trees of Lebanon; and men shall blossom out of the city like herbs of the earth.

² His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

³ Lo, children are an inheritance from the Lord: a reward is the fruit of the body. ⁴ Like arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. ⁵ Happy is the man that hath his quiver filled with them: they shall not be put to shame, when they do speak with the enemies in the gate.

³ Thy wife is then as a fruitful vine in the recesses of thy house: thy children, like olive-plants round about thy table. ⁴ Behold, truly thus shall be blessed the man that feareth the Lord. ⁵ May the Lord bless thee out of Zion: and see thou the happiness of Jerusalem all the days of thy life. ⁶ And see thou thy children’s children: may there be peace upon Israel.

³ For as I pour water upon the thirsty land, and rain-droppings upon the dry ground: so will I pour my spirit over thy seed, and my blessing over thy offspring. ⁴ After they shall spring up as among grass, like willows by the water-courses.
