²⁰ And when he came to the den, he cried with a grieved voice to Daniel. The king spoke and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is your God whom you always serve able to deliver you from the lions?

¹⁴ Is anything too hard for Jehovah? At the time appointed I will return again, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

²³ And Jehovah said to Moses, Has Jehovah's hand become short? You shall see now whether or not My word shall come to pass to you.

¹⁵ And will You kill this people as one man? Then the nations who have heard Your fame will speak, saying, ¹⁶ Because Jehovah was not able to bring this people into the land which He swore to them, therefore He has slain them in the wilderness.

¹¹ Seek Jehovah and His strength; seek His face continually.

¹⁴ But I will hope without ceasing, and I will add more in all Your praise. ¹⁵ My mouth shall show forth Your righteousness and Your salvation all the day; for I do not know how many they are. ¹⁶ I will go in the strength of the Lord Jehovah; I will speak of Your righteousness, of Yours alone. ¹⁷ O God, You have taught me from my youth; and before now I have declared Your wonderful works. ¹⁸ And now when I am old and gray-headed, O God, do not leave me; until I have declared Your strength to this generation, and Your power to everyone who is to come.

²³ But I am always with You; You have held me by my right hand.

¹¹² I have bowed down my heart to do Your Precepts always to the end.

² While I live I will praise Jehovah; I will sing praises to my God while I have any being.

¹⁷ Do not let your heart envy sinners; but be in the fear of Jehovah all the day long. ¹⁸ For surely there is a hereafter, and your hope shall not be cut off.

¹⁷ Ah, Lord Jehovah! You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and stretched out arm. Nothing is too great for You.

¹⁵ Now if you are ready, at the time you hear the sound of the horn, the pipe, zither, the lyre, harp, and bagpipe, and all kinds of music, fall down and worship the image which I have made. But if you do not worship, in that moment you shall be thrown into the middle of a burning fiery furnace. And who is that god who shall deliver you out of my hand?

¹⁷ If it is so that our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, then He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

²⁸ Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent His Angel and has delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and have changed the king's words and have given their bodies that they might not serve nor worship any god except their own God. ²⁹ And a decree is given by me, that every people, nation, and language, who speak anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be made into mere members, and his house shall be made an outhouse. Because there is no other God who can deliver in this way.

¹⁶ Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions' den. The king answered and said to Daniel, Your God, whom you always serve, will deliver you.

²⁷ He delivers and rescues, and He works signs and wonders in the heavens and in earth, He who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

⁶ Therefore turn to your God; keep mercy and judgment, and wait on your God forever.

³⁷ For with God nothing shall be impossible.

¹ And He also spoke a parable to them to teach it is always right to pray, and not to faint,

⁴ But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the Word.

⁷ indeed to those who with patience in good work are seeking for glory, and honor, and incorruptibility, everlasting life.

¹⁰ who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver; in whom we trust that He will yet deliver us,

² Continue in prayer and watch in it with thanksgiving,

¹⁷ Pray without ceasing. ¹⁸ In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

¹² For this cause I also suffer these things; but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard My deposit unto that Day.

¹⁶ At my first answer no one was beside me, but all deserted me. May it not be laid to their charge. ¹⁷ But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, that through me the preaching might be fulfilled, and that all the nations might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. ¹⁸ And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me to His heavenly kingdom, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

²⁵ Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost those who come unto God by Him, since He ever lives to make intercession for them.

²⁵ But whoever looks into the perfect Law of liberty and continues in it, he is not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work. This one shall be blessed in his doing.

²⁴ Now to Him being able to keep you without stumbling, and to set you before His glory without blemish, with unspeakable joy;
