¹ Who is as the wise? And who knows the meaning of a thing? A man's wisdom makes his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed.

⁸ And they said to him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said to them, Do not interpretations belong to God? Now tell it to me.

¹⁵ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and none can interpret it. And I have heard it about you, saying, you can understand a dream to interpret it. ¹⁶ And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, Not I. God shall answer the welfare of Pharaoh.

³⁸ And Pharaoh said to his servants, Can we find any man like this, in whom the Spirit of God is? ³⁹ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Since God has shown you all this, no one is as discreet and wise as you.

²⁹ And it happened as Moses was going down from the mountain of Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony being in Moses' hand as he went down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face had become luminous through His speaking with him. ³⁰ And Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his face had become luminous. And they were afraid to come near him.

⁵⁰ a nation fierce of face who shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young.

²³ If there is a messenger for him, a mediator, one among a thousand, to declare for man his uprightness,

⁶ to understand a proverb and its meaning; the words of the wise, and their acute sayings.

⁸ Prize her, and she shall lift you up; she shall bring you to honor when you embrace her. ⁹ She shall give to your hand an ornament of grace; she shall shield you with a crown of glory.

²⁴ Wisdom is before him who has understanding, but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.

⁵ A wise man is strong; yes, a man of knowledge increases strength.

¹³ Then I saw that wisdom excels folly, as far as light excels darkness. ¹⁴ The wise man's eyes are in his head; but the fool walks in darkness; and I also knew that one event happens to all of them.

²⁸ But there is a God in Heaven who reveals secrets and makes known to King Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed are these. ²⁹ As for you, O king, your thoughts came on your bed, what should happen after this. And He who reveals secrets makes known to you what shall happen. ³⁰ But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living man, but so that the meaning might be known to the king, and that you might know the thoughts of your heart.

⁴⁷ The king answered Daniel and said, It is true that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.

¹⁸ I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen this dream. Now you, O Belteshazzar, declare its meaning, because all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make the meaning known to me. But you are able, for the spirit of the holy gods is in you. ¹⁹ Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was stunned for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spoke and said, Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its meaning trouble you. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream is to those who hate you, and its meaning to your foes.

² And He was transfigured before them. And His face shone as the sun, and His clothing was white as the light.

¹³ But seeing the boldness of Peter and John, and perceiving that they were unlearned and uneducated men, they marveled. And they recognized them, that they had been with Jesus.

²⁹ And now, Lord, behold their threatenings, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your Word,

¹⁵ And looking intently at him. all those sitting in the sanhedrin saw his face as if it were the face of an angel.

¹³ These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. ¹⁴ But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. ¹⁵ But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no one. ¹⁶ For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.

¹⁹ And pray for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,

¹⁷ But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, that through me the preaching might be fulfilled, and that all the nations might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

²⁰ knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture came into being of its own private interpretation.
