²⁵ Also, son of man, will it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that on which they set their minds, their sons and their daughters,

³² Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, and your eyes shall look and fail for them all the day long. And there shall be no power in your hand.

² Beautiful on high, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

² Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone.

¹ A Song of degrees; of David. ²² So says Jehovah of Hosts, Behold, I will punish them. The young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine;

¹⁰ And the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. He also killed all the rulers of Judah in Riblah.
