Acts 11:1 Cross References - MLV

¹ Now the apostles and the brethren who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also accepted the word of God.

¹⁰ The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs and to him will the obedience of the peoples be.

²⁷ All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to Jehovah and all the kinfolk of the nations will worship before you.

¹ O sing to Jehovah a new song. Sing to Jehovah, all the earth. ² Sing to Jehovah, bless his name. Show forth his salvation from day to day. ³ Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.
⁴ Because great is Jehovah and greatly to be praised. He is to be feared above all gods. ⁵ Because all the gods of the peoples are idols, but Jehovah made the heavens. ⁶ Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
⁷ Give to Jehovah, you* kindred of the peoples. Give to Jehovah glory and strength. ⁸ Give to Jehovah the glory due to his name. Bring an offering and come into his courts. ⁹ O worship Jehovah in holy array. Tremble before him, all the earth.
¹⁰ Say among the nations, Jehovah reigns! The world also is established that it cannot be shaken. He will judge the peoples with uprightness.

¹⁰ And there will be a root of Jesse in that day and he who arises to rule over the Gentiles. In him will the Gentiles hope and his resting place will be glorious.

¹⁵ until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field and the fruitful field be esteemed as a forest.

¹ The wilderness and the dry land will be glad. And the desert will rejoice and blossom as the rose. ² It will blossom abundantly and rejoice even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the glory of Jehovah, the excellency of our God.

¹ Behold, my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights. I have put my Spirit upon him, he will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

⁶ I, Jehovah, have called you in righteousness and will hold your hand and will keep you and give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles,

⁶ yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.

¹⁰ Jehovah has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations and all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

³ And nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising.

² And the nations will see your righteousness and all kings your glory.
And you will be called by a new name, which the mouth of Jehovah will name.

¹⁹ O Jehovah, my strength and my stronghold and my refuge in the day of affliction, to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth and will say, Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, even vanity and things in which there is no profit.

²³ And I will sow her to me in the earth. And I will have mercy upon her who had not obtained mercy. And I will say to those who were not my people, You are my people and they will say, My God.

¹¹ In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that has fallen and close up the breaches of it. And I will raise up its ruins and I will build it as in the days of old, ¹² that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that are called by my name, says Jehovah who does this.

⁷ And the remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples as dew from Jehovah, as showers upon the grass, that do not abide for man, nor wait for the sons of men.

¹¹ Jehovah will be terrible to them, for he will famish all the gods of the earth. And men will worship him, everyone from his place, even all the isles of the nations.

⁹ For then I will turn to the peoples of a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of Jehovah, to serve him with one consent.

¹¹ And many nations will join themselves to Jehovah in that day and will be my people and I will dwell in the midst of you. And you will know that Jehovah of hosts has sent me to you.

²⁰ Jehovah of hosts says thus: Peoples will yet come and the inhabitants of many cities. ²¹ And the inhabitants of one city will go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to entreat the favor of Jehovah and to seek Jehovah of hosts. I will go also. ²² Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Jehovah of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of Jehovah.
²³ Jehovah of hosts says thus: In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, We will go with you*, for we have heard that God is with you*.

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun even to the going down of the same, my name is great among the Gentiles. And in every place incense is offered to my name and a pure offering. For my name is great among the Gentiles, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹¹ But I am saying to you, that many will be coming from the east and the west, and will be reclining with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens;

⁵ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young-man sitting at the right side, having been dressed in a white robe, and they were utterly amazed.

³² He is a light for revelation of the Gentiles and the glory of your people Israel.

¹⁴ Now when the apostles who were in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them; ¹⁵ who came down and prayed concerning them so that they might receive the Holy Spirit.

³⁴ Now Peter opened his mouth and said, In truth, I comprehend that God is not one who shows-favoritism ³⁵ but in every nation, he who fears him and is working righteousness, is acceptable to him. ³⁶ The word which he sent to the sons of Israel, proclaiming the good-news of peace through Jesus Christ (this one is Lord of all). ³⁷ You know, the word concerning Jesus which happened throughout the whole of Judea, beginning from Galilee, after the immersion that John preached. ³⁸ Jesus who was from Nazareth; how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went through out the land working good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with him.

²⁷ Now when they came and gathered the congregation together, they reported how-much God had done with them, and that he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.

³ Therefore indeed, being sent onward by the congregation, they were going through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing the turning to God of the Gentiles, and they were producing great joy in all the brethren.

⁷ Hence receive one another, just-as Christ also received you, to the glory of God. ⁸ But I am saying that Christ Jesus has become a servant of the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers, ⁹ and that the Gentiles are to glorify God on behalf of his mercy; as it has been written, ‘Because of this, I will profess you among the Gentiles and sing-praise to your name.’ ¹⁰ And again he says, ‘Gentiles be joyous with his people.’ ¹¹ And again, ‘Praise the Lord, all the Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise him.’ ¹² And again, Isaiah says, ‘There will be the root of Jesse and he who raised up to rule over the Gentiles; upon him the Gentiles will hope.’

¹⁷ nor did I go up into Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia, and I returned again into Damascus.
¹⁸ Thereafter, after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to make the acquaintance of Peter and remained with him fifteen days.
¹⁹ But I did not see any other of the apostles, except James the Lord’s brother. ²⁰ Now concerning the things which I write to you, behold, in God’s sight, I am not lying. ²¹ Thereafter I came to the districts of Syria and Cilicia. ²² But I was still unrecognized by face to the congregations of Judea, which are in Christ;
