¹³ Your eye will not pity him, but you will put away the innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with you.

⁶ Whoever sheds man's blood, his blood will be shed by man. For in the image of God he made man.

¹⁷ And he who slays any man mortally will surely be put to death.

²¹ And he who kills a beast will make it good. And he who kills a man will be put to death.

³³ So you* will not pollute the land in which you* are, for blood, it pollutes the land. And no expiation can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, but by the blood of him who shed it. ³⁴ And you will not defile the land which you* inhabit, in the midst of which I dwell, for I, Jehovah, dwell in the midst of the sons of Israel.

² and when Jehovah your God will deliver them up before you and you will kill* them, then you will utterly destroy them. You will make no covenant with them, nor show mercy to them.

¹⁶ And you will consume all the peoples that Jehovah your God will deliver to you. Your eye will not pity them. Neither will you serve their gods, for that will be a snare to you.

⁸ you will not consent to him, nor listen to him. Neither will your eye pity him, neither will you spare, neither will you conceal him,

⁹ So will you put away the innocent blood from the midst of you when you will do what is right in the eyes of Jehovah.

¹² then you will cut off her hand. Your eye will have no pity.

¹ And there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David sought the face of Jehovah. And Jehovah said, It is for Saul and for his bloody house, because he put to death the Gibeonites.

⁵ No eye pitied you, to do any of these things to you, to have compassion upon you, but you were cast out in the open field. For with loathing of your soul in the day you were born.
