Habakkuk 3:1 Cross References - MLV

1 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, set to Shigionoth.

Psalms 7:1-17

1 O Jehovah my God, I take refuge in you. Save me from all those who pursue me and deliver me, 2 lest they tear my soul like a lion, tearing it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
3 O Jehovah my God, if I have done this, if there is unrighteousness in my hands, 4 if I have rewarded evil to him who was at peace with me, (yes, I have delivered him without cause who was my adversary), 5 let the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it. Yes, let him tread my life down to the earth and lay my glory in the dust. Selah.
6 Arise, O Jehovah, in your anger. Lift up yourself against the rage of my adversaries and awake for me the justice you have commanded. 7 And let the congregation of the peoples encompass you about and return on high over them.
8 Jehovah will judge the peoples. Judge me, O Jehovah, according to my righteousness and to my integrity that is in me.
9 O let the evil of the wicked man come to an end, but establish the righteous man. For the righteous God tries the minds and hearts.
10 My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart. 11 God is a righteous judge. Yes, a God who has indignation every day.
12 If a man does not repent, he will flash his sword. He has bent his bow and made it ready. 13 He has also prepared for him the instruments of death. He makes his arrows fiery.
14 Behold the wicked man, he travails with wickedness. Yes, he has conceived mischief and brought out falsehood. 15 He has made a pit and dug it and has fallen into the ditch which he made. 16 His mischief will return upon his own head and his violence will come down upon his own scalp.
17 I will give thanks to Jehovah according to his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of Jehovah Most High.

Psalms 86:1-17

1 Bow down your ear, O Jehovah, and answer me, because I am poor and needy. 2 Preserve my soul, because I am devout. O you my God, save your servant who trusts in you.
3 Be merciful to me, O Lord, because I cry all the day long to you. 4 Rejoice the soul of your servant, because, I lift up my soul to you, O Lord.
5 Because you, Lord, are good and ready to forgive and abundant in loving kindness to all those who call upon you.
6 Listen, O Jehovah, to my prayer and listen to the voice of my supplications. 7 I will call upon you in the day of my trouble, because you will answer me.
8 There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor like your works. 9 All nations whom you have made will come and worship before you, O Lord and they will glorify your name.
10 Because you are great and do wondrous things. You alone are God.
11 Teach me your way, O Jehovah, I will walk in your truth. Unite my heart to fear your name. 12 I will praise you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart and I will glorify your name everlasting.
13 Because great is your loving kindness toward me and you have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.
14 O God, the proud have risen up against me and a company of violent men have sought after my soul and have not set you before them.
15 But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness and truth. 16 O turn to me and have mercy upon me. Give your strength to your servant and save the son of your handmaid.
17 Show me a sign for good, that those who hate me may see it and be put to shame, because you, Jehovah, have helped me and comforted me.

Psalms 90:1-17

1 Lord, you have been our dwelling-place in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or you had ever formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.
3 You turn man to destruction and say, Return, you* the sons of men. 4 Because a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past and as a watch in the night.
5 You carry them away as with a flood. They are as a sleep. They are like grass which grows up in the morning. 6 In the morning it flourishes and grows up. In the evening it is cut down and withers.
7 Because we are consumed in your anger and in your wrath are we troubled. 8 You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your countenance.
9 Because all our days are passed away in your wrath. We bring our years to an end as a sigh.
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten, or even by reason of strength eighty years, yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, because it is soon gone and we fly away.
11 Who knows the power of your anger and your wrath according to the fear that is due to you?
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.
13 Return, O Jehovah. How long? And relent concerning your servants. 14 O satisfy us in the morning with your loving kindness, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
15 Make us glad according to the days in which you have afflicted us and the years in which we have seen evil.
16 Let your work appear to your servants and your glory upon their sons. 17 And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us. And establish the work of our hands upon us, yes, the work of our hands establish it.
