¹ Comfort you*, comfort my people, says your* God. ² Speak comfortably to Jerusalem and cry to her, that her warfare has been completed, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received of Jehovah's hand double for all her sins.
³ The voice of a man crying out in the wilderness, Prepare the way of Jehovah, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
⁴ Every valley will be exalted and every mountain and hill will be made low. And the crooked will become straight and the rough places smooth. ⁵ And the glory of Jehovah will be revealed and all flesh will see it together. For the mouth of Jehovah has spoken it.
⁶ The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass and all the goodness of it is as the flower of the field. ⁷ The grass withers, the flower fades, because the breath of Jehovah blows upon it. Surely the people is grass. ⁸ The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand everlasting.
⁹ O you who tell good news to Zion, get up on a high mountain. O you who tell good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength. Lift it up, do not be afraid, say to the cities of Judah, Behold, your* God!
¹⁰ Behold, the lord Jehovah will come as a mighty one and his arm will rule for him. Behold, his reward is with him and his recompense before him. ¹¹ He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in his arm and carry them in his bosom, and will gently lead those who have their young.
¹² Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and measured out heaven with the span and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?
¹³ Who has known the mind of Jehovah, or being his counselor has taught him? ¹⁴ He took counsel with whom. And who instructed him and taught him in the path of justice. And taught him knowledge and showed to him the way of understanding?
¹⁵ Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket and are accounted as the small dust of the balance. Behold, he takes up the isles as a very little thing. ¹⁶ And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts of it sufficient for a burnt offering. ¹⁷ All the nations are as nothing before him. They are accounted by him as less than nothing and vanity.
¹⁸ To whom then will you* liken God? Or what likeness will you* compare to him?
¹⁹ The image, a workman has cast it and the goldsmith overlays it with gold and casts for it silver chains. ²⁰ He who is too impoverished for such an oblation chooses a tree that will not rot. He seeks for him a skillful workman to set up a graven image that will not be shaken.
²¹ Have you* not known? Have yet not heard? Has it not been told you* from the beginning? Have you* not understood from the foundations of the earth?
²² It is he who sits above the circle of the earth and the inhabitants of it are as grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens as a curtain and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in, ²³ who brings rulers to nothing, who makes the judges of the earth as vanity. ²⁴ Yes, they have not been planted. Yes, they have not been sown. Yes, their stock has not taken root in the earth. Moreover he blows upon them and they wither and the whirlwind takes them away as stubble.
²⁵ To whom then will you* liken me, that I should be equal to him? says the Holy One. ²⁶ Lift up your* eyes on high and see who has created these, who brings out their host by number. He calls them all by name, by the greatness of his might. And because he is strong in power, not one is lacking.
²⁷ Why do you say, O Jacob and speak, O Israel, My way is hid from Jehovah. And the justice due to me is passed away from my God?
²⁸ Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, nor is weary. There is no searching of his understanding. ²⁹ He gives power to the faint. And to him who has no might he increases strength.
³⁰ Even the youths will faint and be weary and the young men will utterly fall. ³¹ But those who wait for Jehovah will renew their strength. They will mount up with pinions like eagles. They will run and not be weary. They will walk and not faint.

¹⁰ Then he said to them, Go your* way, eat fat things and drink sweet things and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our Lord; neither be you* grieved, for the joy of Jehovah is your* strength.

⁸ I will hear what God, Jehovah, will speak, Because he will speak peace to his people and to his holy ones. But do not let them turn again to folly.

¹⁰ Say you* of the righteous, that it is well, for they will eat the fruit of their practices.

¹ And you will say in that day, I will give thanks to you, O Jehovah, for though you were angry with me. Your anger is turned away and you comfort me.

³ Strengthen you* the weak hands and confirm the feeble knees. ⁴ Say to those who are of a fearful heart, Be strong, do not fear. Behold, your* God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you*.

¹⁰ Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
¹¹ 1 Behold, all those who are incensed against you will be put to shame and confounded. Those who strive with you will be as nothing and will perish. ¹² You will seek them and will not find them, even those who contend with you. Those who war against you will be as nothing and as a thing of nothing. ¹³ For I, Jehovah your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, Do not fear, I will help you.
¹⁴ Do not fear, you worm Jacob and you* men of Israel. I will help you, says Jehovah and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

²⁷ First to Zion. Behold, behold them and I will give to Jerusalem he who brings good news.

¹³ Sing, O heavens and be joyful, O earth and break forth into singing, O mountains. For Jehovah has comforted his people and will have compassion upon his afflicted. ¹⁴ But Zion said, Jehovah has forsaken me and the Lord has forgotten me. ¹⁵ Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you.
¹⁶ Behold, I have engraved you upon the palms of my hands. Your walls are continually before me.

¹⁰ Who is among you* that fears Jehovah, who obeys the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness and has no light, let him trust in the name of Jehovah and rely upon his God.

³ For Jehovah has comforted Zion. He has comforted all her waste places and has made her wilderness like Eden and her desert like the garden of Jehovah. Joy and gladness will be found in it, thanksgiving and the voice of melody.

¹² I, even I, am he who comforts you*. Who are you, that you are afraid of man who will die and of the son of man who will be made as grass,

⁹ Break forth into joy, sing together, you* waste places of Jerusalem, for Jehovah has comforted his people. He has redeemed Jerusalem.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, also with him who is of a crushed and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the crushed.
¹⁶ For I will not contend everlasting, nor will I always be angry, for the spirit would faint before me and the souls that I have made. ¹⁷ For the iniquity of his covetousness I was angry and killed* him. I hid my face and was angry and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.
¹⁸ I have seen his ways and will heal him. I will lead him also and restore comforts to him and to his mourners. ¹⁹ I create the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to him who is far off and to him who is near, says Jehovah and I will heal him.

¹ Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of Jehovah has risen upon you. ² For, behold, darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness the peoples. But Jehovah will arise upon you and his glory will be seen upon you. ³ And nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising.

¹ The Spirit of the lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind and the opening of bonds to those who are bound, ² to proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, ³ to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

¹¹ Behold, Jehovah has proclaimed to the end of the earth, Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, your salvation comes. Behold, his reward is with him and his recompense before him. ¹² And they will call them The holy people, The redeemed of Jehovah. And you will be called Sought out, A city not forsaken.

¹³ Therefore thus says the lord Jehovah, Behold, my servants will eat, but you* will be hungry. Behold, my servants will drink, but you* will be thirsty. Behold, my servants will rejoice, but you* will be put to shame. ¹⁴ Behold, my servants will sing for joy of heart, but you* will cry for sorrow of heart and will wail for vexation of spirit.

¹⁰ Rejoice you* with Jerusalem and be glad for her, all you* who love her. Rejoice for joy with her, all you* who mourn over her, ¹¹ that you* may nurse and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations, that you* may get milk out and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
¹² For Jehovah says thus, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream. And you* will nurse of it. You* will be borne upon the side and will be dandled upon the knees. ¹³ As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you* and you* will be comforted in Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And you* will see and your* heart will rejoice and your* bones will flourish like the tender grass. And the hand of Jehovah will be known toward his servants and he will have indignation against his enemies.

¹⁰ Hear the word of Jehovah, O you* nations and declare it in the isles afar off and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock.
¹¹ For Jehovah has ransomed Jacob and redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he. ¹² And they will come and sing in the height of Zion and will flow to the goodness of Jehovah, to the grain and to the new wine and to the oil and to the young of the flock and of the herd. And their soul will be as a watered garden and they will not sorrow any more at all.
¹³ Then the virgin will rejoice in the dance and the young men and the old together, for I will turn their mourning into joy and will comfort them and make them rejoice from their sorrow. ¹⁴ And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness and my people will be satisfied with my goodness, says Jehovah.

¹⁴ Sing, O daughter of Zion. Shout, O Israel. Be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. ¹⁵ Jehovah has taken away your judgments. He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, even Jehovah, is in the midst of you. You will not fear evil any more.
¹⁶ In that day it will be said to Jerusalem, Do not fear, O Zion. Do not let your hands be slack. ¹⁷ Jehovah your God is in the midst of you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will rest in his love. He will joy over you with singing.

¹³ And Jehovah answered the messenger who talked with me with good words, comforting words.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion. Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, your king comes to you. He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding upon a donkey, even upon a colt the foal of a donkey.

⁴ who is encouraging us on our every affliction, that we may be able to encourage those who are in any affliction, through the encouragement of which we ourselves are encouraged by God.

¹⁸ So-then, encourage one another in these words.

¹⁷ In which God, planning to show even-more to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable will of his plan, intermediated this with an oath; ¹⁸ in order that through two unchangeable matters, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge, to take-hold of the hope that lays before us.

³ And his soul clung to Dinah the daughter of Jacob and he loved the maiden and spoke kindly to the maiden.

²² And Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites who had good understanding in the service of Jehovah. So they ate throughout the feast for the seven days, offering sacrifices of peace offerings and making confession to Jehovah, the God of their fathers.

¹⁰ And Jehovah turned back the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. And Jehovah gave Job twice as much as he had before.
¹¹ Then there came to him all his brothers and all his sisters and all those who had been of his acquaintance before and ate bread with him in his house. And they sympathized with him and comforted him concerning all the evil that Jehovah had brought upon him. Each man also gave him a piece of money and each one a ring of gold.
¹² So Jehovah blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. And he had fourteen thousand sheep and six thousand camels and a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand female-donkeys.

¹ Those whose transgression is forgiven are fortunate, whose sin is covered.

¹³ You will arise and have mercy upon Zion, because it is time to have pity upon her, yes, the set time has come. ¹⁴ Because your servants take pleasure in her stones and have pity upon her dust.
¹⁵ So the nations will fear the name of Jehovah and all the kings of the earth your glory. ¹⁶ Because Jehovah has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory.
¹⁷ He has regarded the prayer of the destitute and has not despised their prayer.
¹⁸ This will be written for the generation to come. And a people which will be created will praise Jehovah.
¹⁹ Because he has looked down from the height of his sanctuary. From heaven Jehovah beheld the earth, ²⁰ to hear the sighing of the prisoner, to loose those who are appointed to death, ²¹ that men may declare the name of Jehovah in Zion and his praise in Jerusalem, ²² when the peoples are gathered together and the kingdoms to serve Jehovah.
²³ He weakened my strength in the way. He shortened my days. ²⁴ I said, O my God, do not take me away in the midst of my days. Your years are throughout all generations.
²⁵ You laid of old the foundation of the earth and the heavens are the work of your hands. ²⁶ They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will grow old like a garment. As a raiment you will change them and they will be changed, ²⁷ but you are the same and your years will have no end.
²⁸ The sons of your servants will continue and their seed will be established before you.

¹¹ For behold, the winter is past. The rain is over and gone. ¹² The flowers appear on the earth. The time of the singing has come and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. ¹³ The fig tree ripens her green figs and the vines are in blossom. They give forth their fragrance.
Arise, my love, my fair one and come away.

²⁴ And the inhabitant will not say, I am sick. The people who dwell in it will be forgiven their iniquity.

⁴ Say to those who are of a fearful heart, Be strong, do not fear. Behold, your* God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you*.

¹¹ 1 Behold, all those who are incensed against you will be put to shame and confounded. ²⁵ I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake and I will not remember your sins.

²² I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and as a cloud, your sins. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.

²⁵ But Jehovah says thus, Even the captives of the mighty will be taken away and the prey of the terrible will be delivered.
For I will contend with him who contends with you and I will save your sons.

⁷ Instead of your* shame you * will have double and instead of dishonor they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them.

¹⁸ And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double, because they have polluted my land with the carcasses of their detestable things and have filled my inheritance with their abominations.

¹⁸ Let them be put to shame who persecute me, but do not let me be put to shame. Let them be dismayed, but do not let me be dismayed. Bring upon them the day of evil and destroy them with double destruction.

¹¹ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you*, says Jehovah, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you* hope in your* latter end.

³³ But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Jehovah: I will give my laws into their mind and I will write them on their hearts. And I will be their God and they will be my people.
³⁴ And they will teach no more every man his neighbor and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah, for they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sin no more.

⁸ And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against me. And I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against me and by which they have transgressed against me.
⁹ And this city will be to me for a name of joy, for a praise and for a glory, before all the nations of the earth, which will hear all the good that I do to them and will fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I procure to it.

² in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years of which the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah the prophet, for the accomplishing of the desolations of Jerusalem, even the seventy years.

¹² And he has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us and against our judges who judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil, for under the whole heaven has not been done as has been done upon Jerusalem.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish transgression and to make an end of sins and to make reconciliation for iniquity and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.
²⁵ Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the anointed one, the Prince, will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be built again, with street and moat, even in troublesome times.
²⁶ And after the sixty-two weeks the anointed one will be cut off and will have nothing. And the people of the prince who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary and the end of it will be with a flood. And even to the end will be war; desolations are determined. ²⁷ And he will make a firm covenant with many for one week. And in the midst of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. And upon the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate. And even to the full end and that determined, wrath will be poured out upon the desolate.

³⁵ And some of those who are wise will fall, to refine them and to purify and to make them white, even to the time of the end, because it is yet for the time appointed.

⁴ But you, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Many will run to and fro and knowledge will be increased.

⁹ And he said, Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed till the time of the end.

¹⁴ Therefore, behold, I will allure her and bring her into the wilderness and speak soothingly to her.

³ For the vision is yet for the appointed time and it breathes-out toward the end and will not lie. Though it abide, wait for it, because it will surely come. It will not delay.

¹⁵ And I am very greatly displeased with the nations that are at ease. For I was but a little displeased and they helped forward the affliction.

¹² Turn back to the stronghold, you* prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will render double to you.

⁷ Now he said to them, It is not yours to know times or seasons, which the Father placed in his own authority.

⁹ Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not be inheriting the kingdom of God? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor pedophiles, nor homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor the greedy ones, nor thieves, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will be inheriting the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And some of you were these, but you were fully-washed, but you were made holy, but you were made righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God.

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born out of a woman, born under the law,

¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Until when, O holy and true Master, do you not judge and avenge our blood from those who dwell upon the earth? ¹¹ And a white robe was given to each, and it was said to them, in order that they should still rest themselves for a time, until both their fellow bondservants and those who are about to be killed as they were also, should be fulfilled.

¹⁵ And the seventh messenger sounded, and there became loud voices in heaven saying, The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ and he will be reigning forevermore.
¹⁶ And the twenty-four elders, who sit in God’s sight upon their thrones, fell upon their faces and worshiped God, ¹⁷ saying, We give-thanks to you, O Lord God, the Almighty, who are and who was, because you have taken your great power and reigned. ¹⁸ And the nations were angry and your wrath came and the time of the dead to be judged and the time to give the reward to your bondservants, the prophets, and to the holy-ones, and to those who fear your name, to the little and to the great, and to have decay for those who are corrupting the earth.

⁶ Repay to her as she has also given to you and you do this double to her–double again according to her works; in the cup which she mingled, mingle to her double again.

⁴ Sing to God, sing praises to his name. Lift up praise for him who rides through the deserts. His name is Jehovah and be rejoiced before him.

¹⁵ And Jehovah will utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea. And with his scorching wind he will wave his hand over the River and will kill* it into seven streams and cause men to march over dry shod. ¹⁶ And there will be a highway for the remnant of his people, who will remain, from Assyria, like as there was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

⁸ And a highway will be there and a way. And it will be called The way of holiness. The unclean will not pass over it, but it will be for the redeemed, the wayfaring men. Yes fools will not go-astray in it.

¹⁹ Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it will spring forth. Shall you* not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

¹¹ And I will make all my mountains a way and my highways will be exalted.

¹⁴ And he will say, Cast you* up, cast you* up, prepare the way. Take up the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.

¹⁰ Go through, go through the gates. Prepare you* the way of the people. Cast up, cast up the highway. Gather out the stones. Lift up an ensign for the peoples. ¹¹ Behold, Jehovah has proclaimed to the end of the earth, Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, your salvation comes. Behold, his reward is with him and his recompense before him.

¹ Behold, I send my messenger and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord, whom you* seek, will suddenly come to his temple. And the messenger of the covenant, whom you* desire, behold, he comes, says Jehovah of hosts.

⁵ Behold, I will send you* Elijah the prophet before the great and fearful day of Jehovah comes. ⁶ And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the sons and the heart of the sons to their fathers, lest I come and kill* the earth with a curse.

¹ Now in those days John the Immerser comes, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, ² and saying, Repent; for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near. ³ For this one is he who was spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying, ‘A voice is crying in the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord, make^*\'b0 his paths straight.’

² As it has been written in the prophets, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will be preparing your way.’ ³ ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord; make^*\'b0 his paths straight.’ ⁴ John came, immersing in the wilderness and preaching the immersion of repentance into the forgiveness of sins. ⁵ And all the region of Judea and all those from Jerusalem were traveling out to him, and all were being immersed by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.

¹⁶ And he will be turning many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. ¹⁷ And he will be going beforehand, in his sight, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to return the hearts of the fathers back on their children, and the disobedient to return in the prudence of the righteous; to make-ready a prepared people for the Lord.

⁷⁶ And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; for ‘you will be traveling before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways.’ ⁷⁷ You are to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the forgiveness of their sins,

² in the time of Annas and Caiaphas, the high-priests, the declaration of God came to John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. ³ And he came into all the region around the Jordan, preaching the immersion of repentance into the forgiveness of sins; ⁴ as it has been written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying, ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord. Make^*\'b0 his paths straight. ⁵ Every valley will be filled and every mountain and hill will be humbled. And the crooked will become straight and the rough ways, smooth. ⁶ And all flesh will be seeing the salvation of God.’

²³ He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make straight the way of the Lord, just-as Isaiah the prophet said.

⁸ He raises up the poor out of the dust, he lifts up the needy from the dunghill, to make them sit with rulers and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are Jehovah's and he has set the world upon them.

¹¹ Pour forth the overflowing of your anger and look upon everyone who is proud and humble him.
¹² Look on everyone who is proud, and bring him low and tread down the wicked where they stand. ¹³ Hide them in the dust together. Bind their faces in the hidden place.

⁷ He raises up a poor man out of the dust and lifts up a needy man from the dunghill, ⁸ that he may set him with rulers, even with the rulers of his people.

¹⁵ who are crooked in their ways and wayward in their paths,

¹² For there will be a day of Jehovah of hosts upon all that is proud and haughty and upon all that is lifted up and it will be brought low, ¹³ and upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up and upon all the oaks of Bashan, ¹⁴ and upon all the high mountains and upon all the hills that are lifted up, ¹⁵ and upon every lofty tower and upon every fortified wall,

¹¹ Let the wilderness and the cities of it lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing. Let them shout from the top of the mountains.

¹⁵ I will lay waste mountains and hills and dry up all their herbs. And I will make the rivers islands and will dry up the pools.
¹⁶ And I will bring the blind by a way that they do not know. I will lead them in paths that they do not know. I will make darkness light before them and crooked places straight. These things I will do and I will not forsake them.

² I will go before you and make the rough places smooth. I will break in pieces the doors of brass and cut apart the bars of iron.

²⁴ And all the trees of the field will know that I, Jehovah, have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree and have made the dry tree to flourish. I, Jehovah, have spoken and have done it.

²⁶ thus says the lord Jehovah: Remove the miter and take off the crown. This will be no more the same. Exalt what is low and humble what is high.

⁵² He has taken down sovereigns from their thrones and has exalted the humble. ⁵³ He has filled the hungry with good things, and he has sent the rich away empty.

⁵ Every valley will be filled and every mountain and hill will be humbled. And the crooked will become straight and the rough ways, smooth.

¹⁴ I say to you, This one went down to his house, having been made righteous rather than that man, because everyone who is exalting himself will be humbled, but he who is humbling himself will be exalted.

¹⁹ And praise his glorious name everlasting. And let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Truly and Truly.

⁶ Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

¹⁶ Because Jehovah has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory.

²⁰ But if you* refuse and rebel, you* will be devoured with the sword, for the mouth of Jehovah has spoken it.

³ And one cried to another and said, Holy, holy, holy, is Jehovah of hosts. The whole earth is full of his glory.

⁹ They will not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters cover the sea.

² It will blossom abundantly and rejoice even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the glory of Jehovah, the excellency of our God.

⁶ yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.

¹⁰ Jehovah has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations and all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

¹⁴ then you will delight yourself in Jehovah and I will make you to ride upon the high places of the earth and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. For the mouth of Jehovah has spoken it.

¹ Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of Jehovah has risen upon you.

¹⁶ For by fire Jehovah will execute judgment and by his sword, upon all flesh and the slain of Jehovah will be many.

²³ And it will happen, that from one new moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh will come to worship before me, says Jehovah.

¹² Who is the wise man, who may understand this and he to whom the mouth of Jehovah has spoken, that he may declare it? Why has the land perished and burned up like a wilderness, so that none passes through?

²⁷ Behold, I am Jehovah, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?

²⁸ And it will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh and your* sons and your* daughters will prophesy. Your* old men will dream dreams. Your* young men will see visions.

⁴ But they will sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree and none will make them afraid. For the mouth of Jehovah of hosts has spoken it.

¹⁴ For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.

¹³ Be silent, all flesh, before Jehovah, for he has arisen out of his holy habitation.

¹⁰ And the messenger said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good-news of great joy which will be to all the people, ¹¹ because there was born to you today in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. ¹² And this is the sign to you : you will be finding a swaddled baby, laying in a manger. ¹³ And suddenly, a multitude of the heavenly army praising God happened to be together with the messenger, and saying, ¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, and peace upon earth, in men–delight.

³² He is a light for revelation of the Gentiles and the glory of your people Israel.

⁶ And all flesh will be seeing the salvation of God.’

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh and resided among us (and we saw his glory, glory like that of the only begotten from the Father), full of favor and truth.

⁴¹ Isaiah said these things, when he saw his glory, and he spoke concerning him.

² just-as you gave him authority over all flesh, in order that to all whom you have given him, he will be giving everlasting life to them.

¹⁷ God says, ‘And it will be in the last days, I will pour out from My Spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters will prophesy and your young-men will see visions and your elderly-men will dream dreams.

¹⁸ But we all, with our face having been unveiled, seeing the reflection of the glory of the Lord for ourselves, are being transfigured into the same image from glory into glory, just-as from the Lord, the Spirit.

⁶ Because it is God, who said, ‘Illumination shine’out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

³ It is he who, being the brightness of his glory and the exact representation of his essence, and is carrying all things by his declaration of power. Having made a cleansing of our sins through himself, he sat down by the right hand of the Majesty in the high place;

²³ And the city has no need of the sun, neither of the moon, in order that they should appear in it; for the glory of God illuminated it and its lamp is the Lamb.

² He comes forth like a flower and is cut down. He too flees as a shadow and does not continue.

⁵ You carry them away as with a flood. They are as a sleep. They are like grass which grows up in the morning. ⁶ In the morning it flourishes and grows up. In the evening it is cut down and withers.

⁷ When the wicked spring up like the grass and when all the workers of unrighteousness flourish, it is that they will be destroyed forever,

¹¹ My days are like a shadow that declines and I am withered like grass.

¹⁵ As for man, his days are as grass, as a flower of the field, so he flourishes. ¹⁶ Because the wind passes over it and it has gone and the place of it will know it no more.

⁶ Cry aloud and shout, you inhabitant of Zion, for great in the midst of you is the Holy One of Israel.

²⁷ Therefore their inhabitants were of small power. They were dismayed and confounded. They were as the grass of the field and as the green herb. As the grass on the housetops and as a field of grain before it is grown up.

³ The voice of a man crying out in the wilderness, Prepare the way of Jehovah, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

¹ Cry aloud, spare not. Lift up your voice like a trumpet and declare to my people their transgression and to the house of Jacob their sins.

¹ The Spirit of the lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind and the opening of bonds to those who are bound, ² to proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,

² Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Jehovah says thus, I remember for you the kindness of your youth, the love of your espousals, how you went after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.

⁶ For there will be a day that the watchmen upon the hills of Ephraim will cry, Arise and let us go up to Zion to Jehovah our God.

⁸ Blow you* the cornet in Gibeah and the trumpet in Ramah. Shout an alarm at Beth-aven, behind you, O Benjamin.

¹⁰ but the rich brother in his humbleness, because like the flower of the grass, he will be passing away. ¹¹ For the sun has risen together with the burning heat, and dried up the grass, and its flower fell and the beauty of its face perished. So shall the rich man also fade away in his pursuits.

²⁴ Because, ‘All flesh is like grass and all the glory of man is like the flower of grass. The grass dried up and the its flower fell away. ²⁵ But the declaration of the Lord is abiding forever.’And this is the declaration of the good-news which was proclaimed to you.

²¹ His breath kindles coals and a flame goes forth from his mouth.

⁸⁹ Everlasting, O Jehovah, your word is settled in heaven. ⁹⁰ Your faithfulness is to all generations. You have established the earth and it abides. ⁹¹ They abide this day according to your ordinances, because all things are your servants.

¹⁰ declaring the end from the beginning and from long-ago things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel will stand and I will do all my pleasure, ¹¹ calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. Yes, I have spoken. I will also make it occur. I have purposed. I will also do it.

¹⁰ For as the rain comes down and the snow from heaven and returns not there, but waters the earth and makes it bring forth and bud and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater, ¹¹ so will my word be that goes forth out of my mouth. It will not return to me void, but it will accomplish what I please. And it will prosper in the thing to which I sent it.

²¹ And as for me, this is my covenant with them, says Jehovah: My Spirit that is upon you and my words which I have put in your mouth, will not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed's seed, says Jehovah, from now and until everlasting.

⁶ But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not overtake your* fathers? And they turned and said, Like as Jehovah of hosts thought to do to us, according to our ways and according to our practices, so he has dealt with us.

¹⁸ For assuredly I am saying to you, Until heaven and earth should pass away, one iota or one serif may never pass away from the law, until all things should become fulfilled.

³⁵ The heaven and the earth will be passing away, but my words may never pass away.

³¹ Heaven and earth will be passing away, but my words may never pass away.

³⁵ If he called those men gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture is not able to be torn-down),

³⁴ The crowd answered him, We have heard out of the law that the Christ remains forever and how do you say, It is essential for the Son of Man to be exalted? Who is this Son of Man?

¹ Therefore what is the supremacy of the Jew? Or what is the profit of circumcision? ² Much, according to every manner! For indeed, first, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God. ³ For what if some disbelieved? Their unbelief will be not doing-away-with the faith fulness of God, will it?

²⁵ But the declaration of the Lord is abiding forever.’And this is the declaration of the good-news which was proclaimed to you.

⁷ And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim and lifted up his voice and cried out and said to them, Listen to me, you* men of Shechem, that God may listen to you*.

¹³ Then David went over to the other side and stood on the top of the mountain afar off, a great space being between them.
¹⁴ And David cried out to the people and to Abner the son of Ner, saying, Answer you not, Abner? Then Abner answered and said, Who are you that cries to the king?

⁴ And Abijah stood up upon Mount Zemaraim, which is in the hill-country of Ephraim and said, Hear me, O Jeroboam and all Israel.

¹ Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of Jehovah by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and put it also in writing, saying, ² Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth has Jehovah, the God of heaven, given me and he has charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

² Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust and will not be afraid, for Jehovah, even Jehovah, is my strength and song and he has become my salvation.

⁹ And it will be said in that day, Behold, this is our God. We have waited for him and he will save us. This is Jehovah. We have waited for him. We will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

⁷ Listen to me, you* who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law. Do not fear the reproach of men, nor be you* dismayed at their revilings.

⁷ How lovely are the feet of him who brings good news upon the mountains, who proclaims peace, who brings good news of good, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, Your God reigns!
⁸ The voice of your watchmen! They lift up the voice; they sing together. For they will see eye to eye, when Jehovah returns to Zion.

⁴ Behold, you* fast for strife and contention and to kill* with the fist of wickedness. You* do not fast this day so as to make your* voice to be heard on high.

¹ The Spirit of the lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind and the opening of bonds to those who are bound,

²⁰ Go up to Lebanon and cry. And lift up your voice in Bashan and cry from Abarim. For all your lovers are destroyed.

⁴⁷ and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

¹⁴ But Peter, standing up together with the eleven, lifted up his voice and spoke out to them, saying, Men, Jews and all you who are dwelling in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and notice my words.

¹³ Now viewing the boldness of Peter and John, they were marveling, having comprehended that they were illiterate and unskilled men. And they recognized them, that they had been together with Jesus.

²⁹ And hereafter, Lord, look upon their threats and give to your bondservants to speak your word with all boldness,

⁴¹ Therefore indeed, they were traveling from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were deemed worthy to be dishonored on behalf of the name of Jesus. ⁴² And they were not ceasing, teaching and proclaiming the good-news of Jesus as the Christ every day both in the temple and in every house.

¹⁸ But I am saying, ‘Did they not hear?’But-rather, ‘Their sounds went out into all the earth and their declarations to the ends of the inhabited-earth.’

¹⁹ And pray on my behalf, in order that the word may be given to me, in opening my mouth to make known the mystery of the good-news in boldness,

²⁸ And being terrified in nothing by those who lay in opposition to you; which to them indeed is an example of destruction, but to you is an example of salvation and this thing is from God, ²⁹ because it was granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf;

¹⁶ And confessedly great is the mystery of godliness : God was manifested in the flesh, was made righteous in the Spirit, was seen by messengers, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was received up in glory.

¹⁴ But even if you should suffer because of righteousness, you are fortunate. But do not fear because of their fear, nor should you be disturbed;

²⁰ Now we know that the Son of God has come and has given us perception, in order that we might know the true one and we are in the true one, that is, in his son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and the everlasting life. ²¹ Guard yourselves from idols, my little-children. Amen.

⁸ Ask of me and I will give you the nations as your inheritance and the outermost parts of the earth as your possession. ⁹ You will smash them with a rod of iron, you will dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

³ Say to God, How awesome are your works! Through the greatness of your power your enemies will submit themselves to you.

¹ Jehovah says to my Lord, Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool. ² Jehovah will send forth the rod of your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of your enemies.

⁶ He will judge among the nations. He will fill with dead bodies. He will strike through the head in many countries.

⁶ For to us a child is born, to us a son is given. And the government will be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.
⁷ Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from hereafter until everlasting. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

⁴ But I said, I have labored in vain. I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity. Yet surely the justice due to me is with Jehovah and my recompense with my God.

²⁴ Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives be delivered? ²⁵ But Jehovah says thus, Even the captives of the mighty will be taken away and the prey of the terrible will be delivered.
For I will contend with him who contends with you and I will save your sons.

¹² Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great and he will divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors. Yet he bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors.

¹⁵ Yes, truth is lacking and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.
And Jehovah saw it and it displeased him that there was no justice. ¹⁶ And he saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor. Therefore his own arm brought salvation to him. And his righteousness, it upheld him. ¹⁷ And he put on righteousness as a breastplate and a helmet of salvation upon his head. And he put on garments of vengeance for clothing and was clad with zeal as a mantle.
¹⁸ According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies. He will repay recompense to the islands.
¹⁹ So they will fear the name of Jehovah from the west and his glory from the rising of the sun. For he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of Jehovah drives. ²⁰ And he who redeems will come to Zion and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob, says Jehovah.
²¹ And as for me, this is my covenant with them, says Jehovah: My Spirit that is upon you and my words which I have put in your mouth, will not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed's seed, says Jehovah, from now and until everlasting.

¹⁵ Instead you have been forsaken and hated, so that no man passed through you, I will make you an everlasting excellency, a joy of generations to generations. ¹⁶ You will also suck the milk of the nations and will suck the breast of kings. And you will know that I, Jehovah, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. ¹⁷ For brass I will bring gold and for iron I will bring silver and for wood brass and for stones iron. I will also make your officers peace and your overseers righteousness.
¹⁸ Violence will no more be heard in your land, desolation nor destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. ¹⁹ The sun will no more be your light by day, nor for brightness will the moon give light to you, but Jehovah will be to you an everlasting light and your God your glory. ²⁰ Your sun will no more go down, nor will your moon withdraw itself, for Jehovah will be your everlasting light. And the days of your mourning will be ended.
²¹ Your people also will all be righteous. They will inherit the land everlasting, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. ²² The little one will become a thousand and the small one a strong nation. I, Jehovah, will hasten it in its time.

¹¹ Behold, Jehovah has proclaimed to the end of the earth, Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, your salvation comes. Behold, his reward is with him and his recompense before him.

⁸ For Jehovah of hosts says thus: After glory he has sent me to the nations which plundered you*. For he who touches you* touches the apple of his eye. ⁹ For, behold, I will shake my hand over them and they will be a spoil to those who served them. And you* will know that Jehovah of hosts has sent me.
¹⁰ Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for behold, I come and I will dwell in the midst of you, says Jehovah. ¹¹ And many nations will join themselves to Jehovah in that day and will be my people and I will dwell in the midst of you. And you will know that Jehovah of hosts has sent me to you.

¹⁸ And Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to me in heaven and upon earth.

¹³ and they took the limbs of the palm trees and went forth to a meeting with him and was crying out, Hosanna. He who is coming in the name of the Lord has been blessed, the King of Israel.

¹⁵ ‘Do not fear, daughter of Zion. Behold, your King is coming, sitting upon a donkey’s colt.’

²⁰ which he worked in the Christ, having raised him up from the dead and seated him by his right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ up above all rule and authority and power and lordship and every name that is being named, not only in this age, but also in the future age. \ulnone\nosupersub ²² And he subjected all things under his feet and gave him to be head above all things to the congregation of believers,

¹⁰ in order that every knee should bow in the name of Jesus, those from the heavenly and earthly and subterranean places, ¹¹ and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

¹⁴ Therefore since the children have shared of flesh and blood, in like-manner he partook of the same; in order that through death, he might do-away-with the one who had the dominion of death, this is the devil;

⁸ He who is practicing sin is from the devil, because the devil sins from the beginning, to this end the Son of God was manifested, in order that he might tear-down the works of the devil.

²⁶ And he who overcomes and he who is keeping my works to the end, to him I will be giving authority over the nations. ²⁷ And he will shepherd them with an iron rod, as the vessels of the potter will be crushed; as I have also received from my Father;

¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb and the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those called and chosen and faithful with him.

¹¹ And I saw the heaven has been opened, and behold, a white horse and he who sits upon it being called Faithful and True, and he is judging in righteousness and is making war. ¹² Now his eyes are a flame of fire and upon his head are many diadems, and he has names written which no one knows except he himself. ¹³ And he has been dressed in a garment, having been dipped in blood and his name is called The Word of God. ¹⁴ And the armies which are in heaven were following him upon white horses, having clothed themselves in fine-linen, white and clean. ¹⁵ And a sharp two edged long-sword travels out from his mouth, in order that he might strike the nations with it and he will shepherd them with an iron rod and he tramples on the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God, the Almighty. ¹⁶ And he has upon his garment and upon his thigh a name has been written, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne and the one who sits upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and no place was found for them.

¹² Behold, I am coming shortly, and my reward is with me, to give to each one as his work will be.

¹³ And he said to him, My lord knows that the children are tender and that the flocks and herds with me have their young and if they overdrive them one day, all the flocks will die.

²⁴ but his bow abode in strength. And the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob (From there is the shepherd, the stone of Israel),

¹ Jehovah is my shepherd, I will not want. ² He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. ³ He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
⁴ Even, because I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, because you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
⁵ You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed my head with oil. My cup runs over.
⁶ Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of Jehovah forever.

⁷¹ He brought him from following the ewe-lambs that have their young, to be the shepherd of Jacob his people and Israel his inheritance.
⁷² So he was their shepherd according to the integrity of his heart and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

¹ Listen, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock. You who sit above the cherubim, shine forth.

³ A bruised reed he will not break and a dimly burning wick he will not quench, but he will bring forth justice in truth.

⁹ saying to those who are bound, Go forth; to those who are in darkness, Show yourselves. They will feed in the ways and their pasture will be on all bare heights.
¹⁰ They will not hunger nor thirst, neither will the heat nor sun kill* them. For he who has mercy on them will lead them. He will guide them even by springs of water.

¹¹ Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying, Where is he who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who put his holy Spirit in the midst of them,

¹² As a shepherd seeks out his flock, in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered abroad, so I will seek out my sheep and I will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
¹³ And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and will bring them into their own land. And I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses and in all the inhabited places of the country. ¹⁴ I will feed them with good pasture and their fold will be upon the mountains of the height of Israel. There they will lie down in a good fold and on fat pasture they will feed upon the mountains of Israel.

¹⁶ I will seek what was lost and will bring back what was driven away and will bind up what was broken and will strengthen what was sick, but I will destroy the fat and the strong. I will feed them in justice.

²³ And I will set up one shepherd over them and he will feed them, even my servant David. He will feed them and he will be their shepherd.

³¹ And you* my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are men and I am your* God, says the lord Jehovah.

²⁴ And my servant David will be king over them and they all will have one shepherd. They will also walk in my ordinances and observe my statutes and do them.

⁴ And he will stand and will feed his flock in the strength of Jehovah, in the majesty of the name of Jehovah his God and they will abide. For now he will be great to the ends of the earth.

⁷ So I fed the flock of slaughter, truly the poor of the flock. And I took to me two staves, the one I called Beauty and the other I called Bands and I fed the flock.

¹¹ I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life on behalf of the sheep. ¹² But the hired-servant and not being the shepherd, whose sheep are not his own, views the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees and the wolf seizes them and scatters the sheep. ¹³ Now the hired-servant flees because he is a hired-servant and he himself does not care concerning the sheep. ¹⁴ I am the good shepherd, and I know my own and I am known by my own, ¹⁵ just-as the Father knows me and I know the Father, and I lay down my life on behalf of the sheep. ¹⁶ And I have other sheep, which are not out of this pen; it is also essential for me to lead those and they will be hearing my voice and there will become one flock, only one shepherd.

¹⁵ Therefore when they had a meal, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, Son of Jonah, do you ^{F} love me more-than these things?
He says to him, Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.
He says to him, Feed my lambs.
¹⁶ He says to him again a second-time, Simon, Son of Jonah, do you ^{F} love me?
He says to him, Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.
He says to him, Shepherd my sheep.
¹⁷ He says to him the third-time, Simon, Son of Jonah, Do you ^{F} love me?
Peter was sorrowful because he said to him the third-time, Do you ^{F} love me like a friend? And he said to him, Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you like a friend.
Jesus says to him, Feed my sheep.

¹ And brethren, I was not able to speak to you as to spiritual people, but as to fleshly ones, as to infants in Christ. ² I gave you milk to drink and not food, for you were not yet able to eat it. But still you are not able even now,

²⁰ Now the God of peace, who brought up the great shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus, from the dead in the blood of an everlasting covenant,

²⁵ For you were being misled like sheep, but now were returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

⁴ And when the Chief-Shepherd is made manifest, you will be getting the unfading crown of glory.

¹⁷ because the Lamb, who is in the midst of the throne, is shepherding them and is guiding them to the springs of waters of life and God will be wiping-away every tear from their eyes.

⁷ Can you find out God by searching? Can you find out the Almighty to perfection? ⁸ It is high as heaven; what can you do? Deeper than Sheol; what can you know? ⁹ The measure of it is longer than the earth and broader than the sea.

²⁵ to make a weight for the wind. Yes, he distributes the waters by measure.

⁴ Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding. ⁵ Who determined the measures of it, if you know? Or who stretched the line upon it? ⁶ Upon what were the foundations of it fastened? Or who laid the cornerstone of it ⁷ when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
⁸ Or who shut up the sea with doors when it broke forth, like it had gone forth out of the womb, ⁹ when I made clouds the garment of it and thick darkness a swaddling-band for it, ¹⁰ and marked out for it my bound and set bars and doors, ¹¹ and said, This far you will come, but no farther and here your proud waves will be stayed?

²⁵ You laid of old the foundation of the earth and the heavens are the work of your hands. ²⁶ They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will grow old like a garment. As a raiment you will change them and they will be changed,

² who covers yourself with light as with a garment, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, ³ who lays the beams of his chambers in the waters, who makes the clouds his chariot, who walks upon the wings of the wind,

²⁶ while as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the beginning of the dust of the world.
²⁷ When he established the heavens, I was there. When he set a circle upon the face of the deep, ²⁸ when he made firm the skies above, when the fountains of the deep became strong,

⁴ Who has ascended up into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has bound the waters in his garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name and what is his son’s name, surely you know?

¹³ Yes, my hand has laid the foundation of the earth and my right hand has spread out the heavens. When I call to them, they stand up together.

¹⁰ And, ‘You, Lord, at the beginnings, founded the earth and the heavens are the works of your hands: ¹¹ they themselves will be perishing, but you are remaining and they will all become-obsolete like a garment; ¹² and you will coil them up like an outer dressing and they will be changed, but you are the same and your years will not be failing.’

²² Shall any teach God knowledge, seeing he judges those who are high?

²² Behold, God does loftily in his power. Who is a teacher like him? ²³ Who has enjoined him his way? Or who can say, You have worked unrighteousness?

²² And having turned to the disciples, he said, All things have been given to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is, except the Father, and who the Father is, except the Son and he to whomever the Son wills to reveal him.

¹³ who were born, not from bloods, nor from the will of the flesh, nor from the will of man, but from God.

³⁴ For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become his counselor?

¹⁶ For who has known the mind of the Lord, who will be lecturing him? But we have the mind of Christ.

¹¹ In him in whom, we were also made an inheritance, having been predetermined according to the purpose of the one who is working all things after the plan of his will.

⁴ Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. ⁵ And there are diversities of services and the same Lord. ⁶ And there are diversities of workings, but it is the same God, who is working all things in all.

³ in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.

¹⁷ Every good act of giving, and every complete gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor a shadow of turning.

⁵ From these were the islands of the nations divided in their lands, every man according to his tongue, according to their families, in their nations.

¹⁴ If he sets his heart upon himself, if he gathers his spirit and his breath to himself, ¹⁵ all flesh will perish together and man will turn again to dust.

¹¹ And it will happen in that day, that the Lord will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, who will remain, from Assyria and from Egypt and from Pathros and from Cush and from Elam and from Shinar and from Hamath and from the islands of the sea.

⁵ But the multitude of your foes will be like small dust and the multitude of the terrible ones as chaff that passes away. Yes, it will be in an instant suddenly

²² It is he who sits above the circle of the earth and the inhabitants of it are as grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens as a curtain and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in,

⁵ The isles have seen and fear. The ends of the earth tremble, they draw near and come.

¹⁸ According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies. He will repay recompense to the islands.

¹⁹ And I will set a sign among them and I will send such as escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, who have not heard my fame, nor have seen my glory and they will declare my glory among the nations.

¹⁰ But Jehovah is the true God. He is the living God and an everlasting King. At his wrath the earth trembles and the nations are not able to abide his indignation.

¹⁸ After this he will turn his face to the isles and will take many. But a ruler will cause the reproach offered by him to cease. Yes, moreover, he will cause his reproach to turn upon him.

¹¹ Jehovah will be terrible to them, for he will famish all the gods of the earth. And men will worship him, everyone from his place, even all the isles of the nations.

⁶ Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you have prepared for me. Whole burnt offering and sacrifice for sin you did not require.

⁹ I will take no bullock out of your house, nor male-goats out of your folds.
¹⁰ Because every beast of the forest is mine and the cattle upon a thousand hills. ¹¹ I know all the birds of the mountains and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
¹² If I were hungry, I would not tell you, because the world is mine and the fullness of it.

⁶ With what shall I come before Jehovah and bow myself before the high God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? ⁷ Will Jehovah be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

⁵ Hence when he enters into the world, he says, ‘You did not wish to have sacrifice and offering, but you, yourself, completed a body for me. ⁶ You were not delighted in whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices concerning sin. ⁷ Then I said, (as it has been written concerning me in the volume of the book), Behold, I am coming to do your will, O God.’ ⁸ After saying this above, You do not wish, nor were you delighted in sacrifice and offering and whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices concerning sin, (which are offered according to the law), ⁹ then he has said, ‘Behold, I am coming to do your will, O God.’He assassinates
the first covenant, in order that he should establish the second covenant, ¹⁰ in which will, we have been made holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

⁶ How much less man, who is a worm! And the son of man, who is a worm!

⁹ Surely men of low degree are vanity and men of high degree are a lie. They will go up in the balances. They are together lighter than vanity.

⁷ And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her stronghold and that distress her, will be as a dream, a vision of the night.

³⁴ And at the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven and my understanding returned to me. And I blessed the Most High and I praised and honored he who lives forever. For his dominion is an everlasting dominion and his kingdom from generation to generation. ³⁵ And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing and he does according to his will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. And none can stay his hand, or say to him, What are you doing?

¹¹ I have become a boasting fool. You urged me to it. For I ought to have been commended by you; for I lacked in nothing over those preeminent apostles, even if I am nothing.

¹⁰ And he said, Tomorrow. And he said, Be it according to your word, that you may know that there is none like Jehovah our God.

¹⁴ For this time I will send all my plagues upon your heart and upon your servants and upon your people, that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.

¹¹ Who is like you, O Jehovah, among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

⁴ You will not make to you a graven image, nor any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

²⁶ There is none like God, O Jeshurun, who rides upon the heavens for your help and in his excellency on the skies.

² There is none holy as Jehovah, for there is none besides you, neither is there any rock like our God.

⁹ Or have you an arm like God? And can you thunder with a voice like him?

⁸ There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor like your works. ⁹ All nations whom you have made will come and worship before you, O Lord and they will glorify your name.
¹⁰ Because you are great and do wondrous things. You alone are God.

⁶ Because who in the clouds can be compared to Jehovah? Who among the sons of the mighty is like Jehovah,

⁸ O Jehovah God of hosts, who is a mighty one like you, O Jehovah? And your faithfulness is all around you.

⁵ Who is like Jehovah our God who has his seat on high,

²⁵ To whom then will you* liken me, that I should be equal to him? says the Holy One.

⁵ To whom will you* liken me and make me equal and compare me, that we may be alike?

⁹ Remember the former things of old, for I am God and there is none else. I am God and there is none like me,

⁶ There is none like you, O Jehovah. You are great and your name is great in might.

¹⁶ The portion of Jacob is not like these. For he is the former of all things and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance. Jehovah of hosts is his name.

¹⁸ Who is a God like to you, who pardons iniquity and passes over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.

²⁹ Therefore being the offspring of God, we ought not to suppose that God is similar to gold or silver or stone, or a carved thing from a craft and the contemplation of man.

¹⁵ who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;

² And Aaron said to them, Break off the golden rings, which are in the ears of your* wives, of your* sons and of your* daughters and bring them to me. ³ And all the people broke off the golden rings which were in their ears and brought them to Aaron.
⁴ And he received it at their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made it a molten calf. And they said, These are your gods, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.

⁴ And when he restored the money to his mother, his mother took two hundred pieces of silver and gave them to the founder, who made of it a graven image and a molten image. And it was in the house of Micah.

⁴ Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. ⁵ They have mouths, but they do not speak. They have eyes, but they do not see. ⁶ They have ears, but they do not hear. They have noses, but they do not smell. ⁷ They have hands, but they do not handle. They have feet, but they do not walk, nor do they speak through their throat.
⁸ Those who make them will be like them. Yes, everyone who trusts in them.

²⁰ Men will cast away their idols of silver and their idols of gold in that day, which have been made for them to worship, to the moles and to the bats,

¹⁸ Of a truth, Jehovah, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the countries and their land, ¹⁹ and have cast their gods into the fire. For they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone. Therefore they have destroyed them.

⁶ They help every man his neighbor and says to his brother, Be of good courage.
⁷ So the carpenter encourages the goldsmith, he who smooths with the hammer, he who slays the anvil, saying of the soldering, It is good and he fastens it with nails, that it should not be shaken.

¹⁰ Who has fashioned a god, or molded an image that is profitable for nothing? ¹¹ Behold, all his fellows will be put to shame and the workmen. They are of men. Let them all be gathered together. Let them stand up. They will fear. They will be put to shame together.
¹² The smith makes an axe and works in the coals and fashions it with hammers and works it with his strong arm. Yes, he is hungry and his strength fails. He drinks no water and is faint.

⁶ Such as lavish gold out of the bag and weigh silver in the balance, they hire a goldsmith and he makes it a god. They fall down, yes, they worship. ⁷ They bear it upon the shoulder. They carry it and set it in its place and it stands. From its place it will not remove. Yes, he may cry to it, yet it cannot answer, nor save him out of his trouble.

³ For the customs of the peoples are vanity.
For a man cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the axe. ⁴ They deck it with silver and with gold. They fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it not move. ⁵ They are like a palm tree, of turned work and do not speak. They must be carried, because they cannot go. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, nor is it in them to do good.

⁹ There is silver beaten into plates, which is brought from Tarshish and gold from Uphaz, the work of the craftsman and of the hands of the goldsmith, blue and purple for their clothing. They are all the work of skillful men.

⁶ For even this is from Israel: the workman made it and it is no God. Yes, the calf of Samaria will be broken in pieces.

¹⁸ What profits the graven image, that the maker of it has engraved it, the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he who fashions its form trusts in it, to make dumb idols?
¹⁹ Woe to him who says to the wood, Awake! To the dumb stone, Arise! Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.

³ And when those of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of Jehovah. And they took Dagon and set him in his place again.
⁴ And when they arose early on the morning of the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of Jehovah and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands lay cut off upon the threshold. Only the stump of Dagon was left to him.

⁸ Their land is also full of idols. They worship the work of their own hands, what their own fingers have made, ⁹ and so the common man bows down and the great man degrades himself. Therefore do not forgive them.

¹³ The carpenter stretches out a line. He marks it out with a pencil. He shapes it with planes. And he marks it out with the compasses and shapes it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man, to dwell in a house. ¹⁴ He hews down cedars for him and takes the cypress tree and the oak and strengthens for himself one among the trees of the forest. He plants a fir tree and the rain nourishes it.
¹⁵ Then it will be for a man to burn. And he takes of it and warms himself. Yes, he kindles it and bakes bread. Yes, he makes a god and worships it. He makes it a graven image and falls down to it. ¹⁶ He burns part of it in the fire. He eats flesh with part of it. He roasts roast and is satisfied. Yes, he warms himself and says, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire. ¹⁷ And the residue of it he makes a god, even his graven image. He falls down to it and worships and prays to it and says, Deliver me, for you are my god.
¹⁸ They do not know, nor do they consider. For he has shut their eyes, that they cannot see and their hearts, that they cannot understand. ¹⁹ And none calls to mind, nor is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire. Yes, I have also baked bread upon the coals of it. I have roasted flesh and eaten it. And shall I make the residue of it an abomination? Shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?

⁷ They bear it upon the shoulder. They carry it and set it in its place and it stands. From its place it will not remove. Yes, he may cry to it, yet it cannot answer, nor save him out of his trouble.

And they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of brass, iron, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor know. And the God in whose hand your breath is and whose are all your ways, you have not glorified.

¹ The heavens declare the glory of God and the expanse shows his handiwork. ² Day to day pours out speech and night to night shows knowledge. ³ There is no speech nor language in which their voice is not heard.
⁴ Their line has gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. He has set a tabernacle for the sun in them, ⁵ which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber and rejoices as a strong man to run his course.

⁶ And the heavens will declare his righteousness, because God is judge himself. Selah.

⁸ Those who make them will be like them. Yes, everyone who trusts in them.

¹¹ When the limbs of it are withered, they will be broken off. The women will come and set them on fire, for it is a people of no understanding. Therefore he who made them will not have compassion upon them and he who formed them will show them no favor.

²⁰ He feeds on ashes. A deceived heart has turned him aside. And he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

⁸ Remember this and show yourselves men. Bring it again to mind, O you* transgressors.

¹³ and have forgotten Jehovah your maker, who stretched forth the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth and fear continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he makes ready to destroy? And where is the fury of the oppressor?

⁸ But they are together stupid and foolish, the instruction of idols! It is but a block of wood. ⁹ There is silver beaten into plates, which is brought from Tarshish and gold from Uphaz, the work of the craftsman and of the hands of the goldsmith, blue and purple for their clothing. ¹⁷ Although he did not leave himself unwitnessed, by doing good, giving rainfalls and fruitful seasons to you from heaven, filling our hearts with nourishment and joy.

¹⁹ because what is known of God is apparent among them; for God manifested it to them. ²⁰ For the invisible things of him are clearly seen from the creation of the world, being perceived by the things made, both his eternal power and divinity; that they may be without defense; ²¹ because having known God, they did not glorify him as God, nor gave-thanks, but became-futile in their reasonings and their heart was darkened without understanding.

²⁸ And just-as they did not approve to have God in their full knowledge, God gave them up to an unapproved mind, to do those things which are not proper.

¹ Therefore what is the supremacy of the Jew? Or what is the profit of circumcision? ² Much, according to every manner! For indeed, first, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.

³³ And we saw there the giants, the sons of Anak, who come of the giants. And we were in our own sight as grasshoppers and so we were in their sight.

⁸ who alone stretches out the heavens and treads upon the waves of the sea,

¹⁴ Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he does not see and he walks on the vault of heaven.

²⁹ Yes, can any understand the spreading of the clouds, the thunderings of his pavilion?

¹⁸ Can you with him spread out the sky, which is strong as a molten mirror?

⁴ He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord will mock them.

¹⁰ Jehovah sat as King at the Flood. Yes, Jehovah sits as King everlasting.

³³ to him who rides upon the heaven of heavens, which are of long-ago. Behold, he utters his voice, a mighty voice.

² who covers yourself with light as with a garment, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain,

²⁷ When he established the heavens, I was there. When he set a circle upon the face of the deep,

¹ The burden of Egypt. Behold, Jehovah rides upon a swift cloud and comes to Egypt. And the idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence and the heart of Egypt will melt in the midst of it.

¹⁵ Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket and are accounted as the small dust of the balance. Behold, he takes up the isles as a very little thing.

¹⁷ All the nations are as nothing before him. They are accounted by him as less than nothing and vanity.

⁵ Thus says God, Jehovah, he who created the heavens and stretched them forth, he who spread abroad the earth and what comes out of it, he who gives breath to the people upon it and spirit to those who walk in it,

²⁴ Jehovah says thus, your Redeemer and he who formed you from the womb: I am Jehovah, who makes all things, who stretches forth the heavens alone, who spreads abroad the earth (who is with me?),

¹ Jehovah says thus, Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool. What manner of house will you* build to me and what place will be my rest?

¹² He has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom and by his understanding he has stretched out the heavens.

¹ The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel.
Jehovah says thus, who stretches forth the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him:

²¹ He pours contempt upon rulers and weakens the strength of the strong.

¹⁹ who does not respect the persons of rulers, nor regards the rich more than the poor. For they all are the work of his hands.
²⁰ In a moment they die, even at midnight. The people are shaken and pass away and the mighty are taken away without hand.

¹² He will cut off the spirit of rulers. He is fearful to the kings of the earth.

⁴⁰ He pours contempt upon rulers and makes them to wander in the waste, where there is no way.

¹³ The rulers of Zoan have become fools. The rulers of Memphis are deceived. They have caused Egypt to go-astray, the chief of her tribes.
¹⁴ Jehovah has mingled a spirit of perverseness in the midst of her and they have made Egypt go-astray in every work of it, as a drunken man wanders around in his vomit.

⁹ Jehovah of hosts has purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.

²¹ And it will happen in that day, that Jehovah will punish the host of the high ones on high and the kings of the earth upon the earth. ²² And they will be gathered together as prisoners are gathered in the pit and will be shut up in the prison. And after many days they will be visited.

¹² They will call the nobles of it to the kingdom, but none will be there. And all its rulers will be nothing.

¹⁸ Jerusalem and the cities of Judah and the kings of it and the rulers of it, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing and a curse, as it is this day, ¹⁹ Pharaoh King of Egypt and his servants and his rulers and all his people, ²⁰ and all the mixed people and all the kings of the land of the Uz and all the kings of the Philistines and Ashkelon and Gaza and Ekron and the remnant of Ashdod, ²¹ Edom and Moab and the sons of Ammon, ²² and all the kings of Tyre and all the kings of Sidon and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea, ²³ Dedan and Tema and Buz and all who have the corners of their hair cut off, ²⁴ and all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness, ²⁵ and all the kings of Zimri and all the kings of Elam and all the kings of the Medes, ²⁶ and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth. And the king of Sheshach will drink after them. ²⁷ And you will say to them, Jehovah of hosts says thus, the God of Israel: Drink you* and be drunken and spew and fall and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you*.

⁵¹ He has made his dominion known with his arm. He has scattered the haughty in the perception of their heart. ⁵² He has taken down sovereigns from their thrones and has exalted the humble.

¹⁸ in order that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders and the flesh of mighty men and the flesh of horses and of those who sit upon them and the flesh of all men, both free men and bondservants and both the little and the great.
¹⁹ And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, have been gathered together to make a war with the one who sits upon the horse and with his army. ²⁰ And the beast was clutched and with him the false prophet who made the signs in his sight, in which he misled those who had received the mark of the beast and those who are worshiping his image. The two were cast while living into the lake of fire which is burning in brimstone.

¹⁶ Then the channels of the sea appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare by the rebuke of Jehovah, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.

²¹ Behold, I will bring evil upon you and will utterly sweep you away and will cut off from Ahab every one who urinates on the wall and he who is shut up and he who is left at large in Israel. ²² And I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah for the provocation with which you have provoked me to anger and have made Israel to sin.

¹¹ So Jehu killed* all who remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel and all his great men and his familiar friends and his priests, until he left to him none remaining.

⁹ By the breath of God they perish and by the blast of his anger they are consumed.

³⁰ He will not depart out of darkness. The flame will dry up his offshoots and by the breath of God's mouth he will go away.
³¹ Let him not trust in vanity, making himself go-astray. For vanity will be his recompense. ³² It will be accomplished before his time and his branch will not be green. ³³ He will shake off his unripe grape as the vine and will cast off his flower as the olive tree.

¹⁶ His roots will be dried up beneath and above his limbs be will cut off.
¹⁷ His remembrance will perish from the earth and he will have no name in the street. ¹⁸ He will be driven from light into darkness and chased out of the world. ¹⁹ He will have neither son nor son's son among his people, nor any remaining where he traveled.

¹⁸ that they are as stubble before the wind and as chaff that the storm carries away?

⁹ Before your* pots can feel the thorns, he will take them away with a whirlwind, the green and the burning alike.

²⁷ when your* fear comes as a storm and your* calamity comes on as a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you*.

⁴ but with righteousness he will judge the poor and decide with equity for the meek of the earth.
And he will kill* the earth with the rod of his mouth and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.

²¹ Prepare you* slaughter for his sons for the iniquity of their fathers, that they not rise up and possess the earth and fill the face of the world with cities. ²² And I will rise up against them, says Jehovah of hosts and cut off from Babylon name and remnant and son and son's son, says Jehovah.

¹¹ In the day of your planting you hedge it in and in the morning you make your seed to blossom. But the harvest flees away in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.

¹³ The nations will rush like the rushing of many waters, but he will rebuke them. And they will flee far off and will be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind and like the whirling dust before the storm.

³³ For a Topheth is prepared of old, yes, it is made ready for the king. He has made it deep and large. The pile of it is fire and much wood. The breath of Jehovah kindles it, like a stream of brimstone.

⁷ Behold, I will put a spirit in him and he will hear news and will return to his own land. And I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

⁷ The grass withers, the flower fades, because the breath of Jehovah blows upon it. Surely the people is grass.

¹⁶ You will winnow them and the wind will carry them away and the whirlwind will scatter them. And you will rejoice in Jehovah. You will glory in the Holy One of Israel.

³⁰ Jehovah says thus: Write this man as childless, a man who will not prosper in his days. For no more will a man of his seed prosper, sitting upon the throne of David and ruling in Judah.

¹⁹ Behold, the tempest of Jehovah, wrath, has gone forth, yes, a whirling tempest. It will burst upon the head of the wicked.

³ Therefore they will be as the morning cloud and as the dew that passes away early, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the threshing-floor and as the smoke out of the chimney.

¹⁵ Though he is fruitful among his brothers, an east wind will come, the breath of Jehovah coming up from the wilderness and his spring will become dry and his fountain will be dried up. He will make spoil of the treasure of all desirable vessels.

¹⁴ And Jehovah has given commandment concerning you, that no more of your name be sown. Out of the house of your gods I will cut off the graven image and the molten image. I will make your grave, for you are vile.

⁹ You* looked for much, and behold, it came to little and when you* brought it home, I blew upon it.
Why? says Jehovah of hosts. Because of my house that lays waste while you* run each man to his own house.

¹⁴ But I will scatter them with a whirlwind among all the nations which they have not known. Thus the land was desolate after them, so that no man passed through nor returned. For they laid the desirable land desolate.

¹⁴ And Jehovah will be seen over them. And his arrow will go forth as the lightning. And the lord Jehovah will blow the trumpet and will go with whirlwinds of the south.

¹⁵ You* take therefore good heed to yourselves, for you* saw no manner of form on the day that Jehovah spoke to you* in Horeb out of the midst of the fire. ¹⁶ Lest you* corrupt yourselves and make for you* a graven image in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female, ¹⁷ the likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the sky, ¹⁸ the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth.

³³ Did a people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard and live?

⁸ You will not make to you a graven image: any likeness that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

¹⁸ To whom then will you* liken God? Or what likeness will you* compare to him?

¹ And the heavens and the earth were finished and all the host of them. ² And God finished his work by the seventh day which he had made and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

¹⁹ And lest you lift up your eyes to heaven and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the host of heaven, you are drawn away and worship them and serve them, which Jehovah your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.

²⁶ if I have beheld the sun when it shone, or the moon walking in brightness, ²⁷ and my heart has been secretly enticed and my mouth has kissed my hand ²⁸ (this also is an iniquity to be punished by the judges, for I would have denied the God that is above);

³ Because I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have established, ⁴ what is man that you remember him? And the son of man that you care for him?

¹ The heavens declare the glory of God and the expanse shows his handiwork.

¹¹ The heavens are yours, the earth also is yours, the world and the fullness of it; you have founded them. ¹² The north and the south, you have created them. Tabor and Hermon rejoice in your name.
¹³ You have a mighty arm. Strong is your hand and high is your right hand.

²⁵ You laid of old the foundation of the earth and the heavens are the work of your hands.

⁴ He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by names.
⁵ Great is our Lord and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.

³ Praise him, sun and moon. Praise him, all you* stars of light. ⁴ Praise him, you* heavens of heavens and you* waters that are above the heavens.
⁵ Let them praise the name of Jehovah. Because he commanded and they were created. ⁶ He has also established them everlasting and forever. He has made a decree which will not pass away.

¹⁶ Seek out of the book of Jehovah and read. No one of these will be missing. None will want her mate. For my mouth, it has commanded and his Spirit, it has gathered them.

⁷ I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create evil. I am Jehovah who does all these things.

⁶ Lift up your* eyes to the heavens and look upon the earth beneath. For the heavens will vanish away like smoke and the earth will grow old like a garment and those who dwell in it will die in like manner. But my salvation will be everlasting and my righteousness will not be abolished.

¹⁷ Ah lord Jehovah! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you, ¹⁸ who show loving kindness to thousands and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their sons after them, the great, the mighty God. Jehovah of hosts is his name, ¹⁹ great in counsel and mighty in work, whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his practices,

¹⁶ because all things were created by him, the things in the heavens and the things upon the earth, the visible and invisible, whether thrones or lordships or principalities or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. ¹⁷ And he is before all things and all things are standing in him.

² As God lives, who has taken away my right and the Almighty, who has distressed my soul,

¹⁴ But Zion said, Jehovah has forsaken me and the Lord has forgotten me.

⁷ Now, should God not do the avenging of his chosen who are crying to him day and night? Also, should he not have patience upon them?
⁸ I say to you, that he will be doing the avenging on them quickly.
However, when the Son of Man comes, will he then be finding the faith upon the earth?

³³ And Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beer-sheba and called on the name of Jehovah, the Everlasting God, there.

²⁷ The God of long-ago is your dwelling-place and underneath are the everlasting arms. And he thrust out the enemy from before you and said, Destroy.

¹⁰ Those who contend with Jehovah will be broken to pieces. He will thunder against them in heaven. Jehovah will judge the ends of the earth and he will give strength to his king and exalt the horn of his anointed.

² Before the mountains were brought forth, or you had ever formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.

⁸ Jehovah will perfect what is on my behalf. Your loving kindness, O Jehovah, is everlasting. Do not forsake the works of your own hands.

⁶ Such knowledge is too wonderful for me. It is high, I cannot attain to it.

⁵ Great is our Lord and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.

²¹ Have you* not known? Have yet not heard? Has it not been told you* from the beginning? Have you* not understood from the foundations of the earth?

²² Look to me and be you* saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else.

⁸ For my thoughts are not your* thoughts, nor are your* ways my ways, says Jehovah. ⁹ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your* ways and my thoughts than your* thoughts.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, also with him who is of a crushed and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the crushed.

¹ Behold, Jehovah's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, nor his ear heavy, that it cannot hear.

⁹ Shall I bring to the birth and not cause to bring forth? says Jehovah. Shall I who cause to bring forth shut the womb? says your God.

²² For my people are foolish. They do not know me.
They are foolish sons and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but they have no knowledge to do good.

¹⁷ And Jesus knew it and says to them, Why are you reasoning so, because you have no bread? Do you still not perceive, nor understand? Do you still have your heart hardened? ¹⁸ Having eyes, do you not see? Having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?

¹⁹ But he answered and says, O unbelieving generation, until when shall I be with you? Until when shall I tolerate you? Bring him to me.

¹⁴ And later, while reclining at a meal, he was manifested to the eleven themselves and he reproached their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him, that he had been raised.

²⁵ And he said to them, O you foolish ones and slow in heart to believe upon all that the prophets have spoken!

¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, My Father is working until now, and I am working.

⁹ Jesus says to him, So-much time I have been with you and you have not known me Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. And how can you say this? Show us the Father.

⁴⁷ For so the Lord has commanded to us, saying, ‘I have placed you for a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the outermost parts of the earth.’

³³ O the depth of the riches, and of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and untraceable his ways! ³⁴ For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become his counselor?

²⁶ (14:25) but now having been manifested and by the prophetic Scriptures, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, has made known to all the nations, into the obedience of the faith; \ulnone\nosupersub

³ Do you not know that we will be judging the messengers? Why not judge the things of everyday life? ⁴ Therefore, if you indeed have courts concerning things of everyday life, why are you seating those who have been scorned in the congregation as judges? ⁵ I am saying this to shame you. So is there not one wise person among you? Not even one who will be able to judge between his brethren?

⁹ Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not be inheriting the kingdom of God? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor pedophiles, nor homosexuals,

¹⁶ Therefore, do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For he says, The two will become one flesh.

¹⁹ Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? And you are not your own;

⁶ I have confidence of this same thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will be completing it till the day of Jesus Christ;

¹⁷ Now to the King of the ages, incorruptible, invisible, the only wise God, is honor and glory forevermore. Amen.

¹⁴ how much more the blood of Christ, (who through the everlasting Spirit offered himself unblemished to God), will be cleansing your conscience from dead works, that you may give-divine service to the living God.

²⁵ Your bars will be iron and brass and as your days, so will your strength be.

¹¹ Jehovah will give strength to his people. Jehovah will bless his people with peace.

¹⁰ Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

⁴ The lord Jehovah has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words he who is weary. He awakens morning by morning. He awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.

²⁵ For I have satiated the weary soul and every sorrowful soul I have replenished.

¹² And I will strengthen them in Jehovah and they will walk up and down in his name, says Jehovah.

⁹ And he has said to me, My grace is enough for you; for my power is completed in weakness. Therefore I will rather gladly be boasting in my weaknesses, in order that the power of the Christ might reside upon me. ¹⁰ Hence I am delighting in weaknesses, in insults, in calamities, in persecutions, in distresses, on behalf of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am mighty.

¹³ I am strong in all things in the Christ, who is empowering me.

¹¹ being empowered in all power, according to the dominion of his glory, for all endurance and patience with joy,

³⁴ quenched the power of fire, fled away from the edge of the sword, were empowered away from weakness, became mighty in war, the encampments of aliens bowed down.

¹⁶ There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

¹⁰ The young lions do lack and suffer hunger, but those who seek Jehovah will not want any good thing.

⁵ Behold, you have made my days as the width of hands and my life-time is as nothing before you. Surely every man at his best condition is altogether vanity. Selah.

¹¹ I returned and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill, but time and chance happens to them all.

¹⁷ Therefore the Lord will not rejoice over their young men, nor will he have compassion on their fatherless and widows. For everyone is profane and an evildoer and every mouth does senselessness.
For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

¹⁸ And their bows will dash the young men in pieces. And they will have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye will not spare children.

¹¹ Therefore I am full of the wrath of Jehovah. I am weary with holding in. Pour it out upon the sons in the street and upon the assembly of young men together. For even the husband with the wife will be taken, the aged with him who is full of days.

²¹ For death has come up into our windows. It has entered into our palaces, to cut off the sons from outside, the young men from the streets.

¹⁴ And flight will perish from the swift and the strong will not strengthen his force, nor will the mighty deliver himself.

⁴ You* have seen what I did to the Egyptians and how I bore you* on eagles' wings and brought you* to myself.

²⁸ And Samson called to Jehovah and said, O lord Jehovah, remember me, I beseech you and strengthen me, I beseech you, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

⁹ Yet the righteous will hold on his way. And he who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.

²⁴ then God is gracious to him and says, Deliver him from going down to the pit; I have found a ransom. ²⁵ His flesh will be fresher than a child's. He returns to the days of his youth.
²⁶ He prays to God and he is favorable to him, so that he sees his face with joy and he restores to man his righteousness.

³ Yes, none who wait for you will be put to shame. They will be put to shame who deal treacherously without cause.

⁵ Guide me in your truth and teach me. Because you are the God of my salvation. I wait all the day on you.

²¹ Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, because I wait for you.

¹³ I believe that I will see the goodness of Jehovah in the land of the living. ¹⁴ Wait for Jehovah. Be strong and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Jehovah.

³⁴ Wait for Jehovah and keep his way and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When sinners are cut off, you will see it.

¹ I waited patiently for Jehovah and he inclined to me and heard my cry.

⁷ They go from strength to strength; each one of them appears before God in Zion.

¹ It is a good thing to give thanks to Jehovah and to sing praises to your name, O Most High,

¹³ Men who are planted in the house of Jehovah will flourish in the courts of our God.

⁵ who satisfies your desire with good things and your youth is renewed like the eagle.

² Behold, as the eyes of servants to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes are to Jehovah our God, until he has mercy upon us.

³ You answered me in the day that I called. You encouraged me with strength in my soul.

⁵ Who is this who comes up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? Under the apple tree I awoke you. There your mother was in travail with you. There she who brought you forth was in travail

¹⁷ And I will wait for Jehovah, who hides his face from the house of Jacob and I will be a man who has trusted in him.

¹⁸ And therefore Jehovah will wait, that he may be gracious to you*. And therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you*, for Jehovah is a God of justice. All those who wait for him are fortunate.

²⁵ Jehovah is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. ²⁶ It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Jehovah.

¹ Now he also spoke a parable to them, to show that it is essential for them to always pray, and not to be depressed;

²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, then we are waiting for it through endurance.

⁸ For brethren, we do not wish you to be ignorant in regard to our affliction which happened to us in Asia, that we were burdened down surpassingly, beyond our power, so-that we despaired even to be living. ⁹ But, we ourselves have had the verdict of death in ourselves, in order that we should not have confidence in ourselves, but in God, who is raising up the dead; ¹⁰ who rescued us out of so-great a death and is rescuing us; in whom we have hoped that he will also still be rescuing us.

¹ Because of this, having this service, just-as we have been shown-mercy, we are not depressed.

⁸ We are being pressed in everything, but not distressed; being perplexed, but not despairing; ⁹ being persecuted, but not forsaken; being cast down, but not being destroyed; ¹⁰ always carrying around in the body the death of the Lord Jesus, in order that the life of Jesus should also be manifested in our body.

¹⁶ Hence we are not depressed, but even if the outward man is decaying, but yet our inward man is renewed day in and day out.

⁹ Now we should not be depressed in well doing; for we will be reaping in our own time, if we do not faint.

¹⁰ and to await his Son Jesus from the heavens, whom he raised up from the dead; who rescues us from the coming wrath.

¹ Therefore, since we also have so-great a cloud of witnesses encompassing us, let us run through endurance the contest laying before us, placing away from ourselves every interference, and the easily restricting sin.

³ For, study the one who has endured such dispute by sinners to himself, in order that you might not be weary, fainting in your souls.

³ and you have endurance and did bear because of my name and have not fatigued.

⁷ And the first living creature was similar to a lion and the second living creature was similar to a calf and the third living creature having a face like that of a man and the fourth living creature was similar to a flying eagle.
