¹⁹ When you reap your harvest in your field and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you will not go again to fetch it. It will be for the traveler, for the fatherless and for the widow, that Jehovah your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

⁷ those who pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor and turn aside the way of the meek. And a man and his father go to the same maiden, to profane my holy name. ⁸ And they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes taken in pledge. And in the house of their God they drink the wine of such as have been fined.

¹¹ Inasmuch therefore as you* trample upon the poor and take exactions of wheat from him. You* have built houses of hewn stone, but you* will not dwell in them. You* have planted pleasant vineyards, but you* will not drink the wine of it.
¹² For I know how great are your* transgressions and how mighty are your* sins–you* who afflict the just man, who take a bribe and who turn aside the needy in the gate.
