¹ Now Jericho was shut up tight because of the sons of Israel. None went out and none came in. ² And Jehovah said to Joshua, See, I have given Jericho into your hand and the king of it and the mighty men of valor. ³ And you* will encompass the city, all the men of war, going around the city once. Thus will you do six days.
⁴ And seven priests will bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark. And the seventh day you* will encompass the city seven times and the priests will blow the trumpets. ⁵ And it will be, that, when they make a prolonged blast with the ram's horn and when you* hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people will shout with a great shout. And the wall of the city will fall down flat and the people will go up every man straight before him.
⁶ And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests and said to them, Take up the ark of the covenant and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of Jehovah. ⁷ And they said to the people, Pass on and encompass the city and let the armed men pass on before the ark of Jehovah. ⁸ And it was so, that, when Joshua had spoken to the people, the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns before Jehovah passed on and blew the trumpets. And the ark of the covenant of Jehovah followed them. ⁹ And the armed men went before the priests who blew the trumpets and the rearward went behind the ark, the priests blowing the trumpets as they went.
¹⁰ And Joshua commanded the people, saying, You* will not shout, nor let your* voice be heard, neither will any word proceed out of your* mouth until the day I bid you* shout. Then you* will shout. ¹¹ So he caused the ark of Jehovah to encompass the city, going around it once. And they came into the camp and lodged in the camp.
¹² And Joshua rose early in the morning and the priests took up the ark of Jehovah. ¹³ And the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of Jehovah went on continually and blew the trumpets. And the armed men went before them and the rearward came behind the ark of Jehovah, the priests blowing the trumpets as they went. ¹⁴ And the second day they encompassed the city once and returned into the camp. So they did six days.
¹⁵ And it happened on the seventh day, that they rose early at the dawning of the day and encompassed the city according to the same manner seven times. Only on that day they encompassed the city seven times. ¹⁶ And it happened at the seventh time, when the priests blew the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, Shout, for Jehovah has given you* the city.
¹⁷ And the city will be set apart, even it and all that is in it, to Jehovah. Only Rahab the prostitute will live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.
¹⁸ But as for you*, only keep yourselves from what is set apart, lest when you* have set it apart, you* take from what is set apart. So you* would make the camp of Israel accursed and trouble it. ¹⁹ But all the silver and gold and vessels of brass and iron, are holy to Jehovah. They will come into the treasury of Jehovah.
²⁰ So the people shouted and the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, that the people shouted with a great shout and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him and they took the city. ²¹ And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, both young and old and ox and sheep and donkey, with the edge of the sword.
²² And Joshua said to the two men who had spied out the land, Go into the prostitute's house and bring out from there the woman and all that she has, as you* swore to her. ²³ And the young men, the spies, went in and brought out Rahab and her father and her mother and her brothers and all that she had. They also brought out all her kindred and they set them outside the camp of Israel.
²⁴ And they burnt the city with fire and all that was in it. Only the silver and the gold and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of Jehovah.
²⁵ But Joshua saved alive Rahab the prostitute and her father's household and all that she had. And she dwelt in the midst of Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.
²⁶ And Joshua charged them with an oath at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before Jehovah who rises up and builds this city Jericho. With the loss of his firstborn he will lay the foundation of it and with the loss of his youngest son he will set up the gates of it. ²⁷ So Jehovah was with Joshua and his fame was in all the land.

⁷ And the men pursued after them the way to the Jordan to the fords and as soon as those who pursued after them were gone out, they shut the gate.

⁹ And she said to the men, I know that Jehovah has given you* the land and that the fear of you* has fallen upon us. And that all the inhabitants of the land melt away before you*.
¹⁰ For we have heard how Jehovah dried up the water of the Red Sea before you* when you* came out of Egypt and what you* did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and to Og, whom you* utterly destroyed. ¹¹ And as soon as we had heard it, our hearts melted, neither did there remain any more spirit in any man because of you*, for Jehovah your* God, he is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.
¹² Now therefore, I beseech you*, swear to me by Jehovah, since I have dealt kindly with you*, that you* also will deal kindly with my father's house and give me a true token, ¹³ and that you* will save alive my father and my mother and my brothers and my sisters and all that they have and will deliver our lives from death. ¹⁴ And the men said to her, Our life for yours* if you* do not utter this our business. And it will be, when Jehovah gives us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with you.

²⁴ And they said to Joshua, Truly Jehovah has delivered into our hands all the land and moreover all the inhabitants of the land melt away before us.

⁴ And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea, for he had sent messengers to So King of Egypt and offered no tribute to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year. Therefore the king of Assyria shut him up and bound him in prison.

¹ Unless Jehovah builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless Jehovah guards the city, the watchman wake but in vain.

²⁴ And he will deliver their kings into your hand and you will make their name to perish from under heaven. There will no man be able to stand before you, until you have destroyed them.

⁹ And she said to the men, I know that Jehovah has given you* the land and that the fear of you* has fallen upon us. And that all the inhabitants of the land melt away before you*.

¹³ And it happened, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, there stood a man opposite him with his sword drawn in his hand. And Joshua went to him and said to him, Are you for us, or for our adversaries?
¹⁴ And he said, No, but as captain of the army of Jehovah I have now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped and said to him, What does my lord say to his servant? ¹⁵ And the captain of Jehovah's army said to Joshua, Put off your shoe from your foot, for the place on which you stand is holy. And Joshua did so.

¹ And Jehovah said to Joshua, Do not fear, neither be dismayed. Take all the people of war with you and arise, go up to Ai. See, I have given into your hand the king of Ai and his people and his city and his land.

⁶ And Jehovah said to Joshua, Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow at this time I will deliver them up all slain before Israel. You will hock their horses and burn their chariots with fire. ⁷ So Joshua came and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly and fell upon them.
⁸ And Jehovah delivered them into the hand of Israel and they killed* them and chased them to great Sidon and to Misrephoth-maim and to the valley of Mizpeh eastward. And they killed* them until they left them none remaining.

²¹ And Jehovah, the God of Israel, delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel and they killed* them. So Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that country.

²⁴ Will you not possess what Chemosh your god gives you to possess? So whomever Jehovah our God has dispossessed from before us, them will we possess.

¹⁹ And David inquired of Jehovah, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hand? And Jehovah said to David, Go up, for I will certainly deliver the Philistines into your hand.

²⁴ So the sons went in and possessed the land. And you subdued the inhabitants of the land before them, the Canaanites and gave them into their hands, with their kings and the peoples of the land, that they might do with them as they would.

²¹ And he changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.

⁴⁴ And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will the sovereignty of it be left to another people, but it will break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms and it will stand forever.

¹⁷ The sentence is by the decree of the watchers and the demand by the word of the holy ones, to the intent that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whomever he will and sets up over it the lowest of men.

³⁵ And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing and he does according to his will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. And none can stay his hand, or say to him, What are you doing?

¹⁸ O you king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father the kingdom and greatness and glory and majesty.

⁹ Only do not rebel against Jehovah, neither fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their defense is removed from over them and Jehovah is with us. Fear them not.

⁷ And they said to the people, Pass on and encompass the city and let the armed men pass on before the ark of Jehovah.

¹⁴ And the second day they encompassed the city once and returned into the camp. So they did six days.

²¹ For since, in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know God, it delighted God through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe. ²² Since both Jews ask for a sign and Greeks seek wisdom; ²³ but we preach Christ as having been crucified, indeed an offense to the Jews, but foolishness to the Greeks; ²⁴ but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. ²⁵ Because the foolish things of God are wiser than men, and the weakness of God is mightier than men.

⁷ But we have this treasure in clay vessels, in order that the excellence of the power may be from God and not from us.

³ And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work which God had created and made.

² You will take to you the male and his female of every clean beast by sevens. And two of the beasts that are not clean, male and his female. ³ Also of the birds of the heavens by sevens, male and female, to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.

⁶ And the priest will dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle of the blood seven times before Jehovah, before the veil of the sanctuary.

¹⁶ And the priest will dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand and will sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before Jehovah.

⁸ And you will number seven Sabbaths of years to you, seven times seven years and there will be to you the days of seven Sabbaths of years, even forty-nine years. ⁹ Then you will send abroad the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. In the day of atonement you* will send abroad the trumpet throughout all your* land.

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ² You make two trumpets of silver, you will make them of beaten work. And you will use them for the calling of the congregation and for the journeying of the camps. ³ And when they will blow them, all the congregation will gather themselves to you at the door of the tent of meeting. ⁴ And if they blow but one, then the rulers, the heads of the thousands of Israel, will gather themselves to you. ⁵ And when you* blow an alarm, the camps that lie on the east side will take their journey. ⁶ And when you* blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie on the south side will take their journey. They will blow an alarm for their journeys. ⁷ But when the assembly is to be gathered together, you* will blow, but you* will not shout out an alarm.
⁸ And the sons of Aaron, the priests, will blow the trumpets and they will be to you* for an everlasting statute throughout your* genealogy. ⁹ And when you* go to war in your* land against the adversary that oppresses you*, then you* will shout out an alarm with the trumpets. And you* will be remembered before Jehovah your* God and you* will be saved from your* enemies. ¹⁰ Also in the day of your* gladness and in your* set feasts and in the beginnings of your* months, you* will blow the trumpets over your* burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your* peace offerings. And they will be to you* for a memorial before your* God: I am Jehovah your* God.

¹ And Balaam said to Balak, Build me here seven altars and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.

⁷ And Jehovah said to Gideon, By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you* and deliver the Midianites into your hand. And let all the people go every man to his place. ⁸ So the people took provision in their hand and their trumpets. And he sent all the men of Israel every man to his tent, but retained the three hundred men. And the camp of Midian was beneath him in the valley.

¹⁵ And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream and the interpretation of it, that he worshiped. And he returned into the camp of Israel and said, Arise, for Jehovah has delivered the army of Midian into your* hand.
¹⁶ And he divided the three hundred men into three companies and he put trumpets into the hands of all of them and empty pitchers, with torches inside the pitchers. ¹⁷ And he said to them, Look on me and do likewise, and behold, when I come to the outermost part of the camp, it will be that, as I do, so you* will do. ¹⁸ When I blow the trumpet, I and all who are with me, then blow you* the trumpets also on every side of all the camp and say, For Jehovah and for Gideon.
¹⁹ So Gideon and the hundred men who were with him, came to the outermost part of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch when they had but newly set the watch. And they blew the trumpets and smashed the pitchers that were in their hands. ²⁰ And the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers and held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands with which to blow. And they cried out, The sword of Jehovah and of Gideon.
²¹ And they stood every man in his place all around the camp. And all the army ran and they shouted and put them to flight. ²² And they blew the three hundred trumpets and Jehovah set every man's sword against his fellow and against all the army. And the army fled as far as Beth-shittah toward Zererah, as far as the border of Abel-meholah, by Tabbath.

⁴³ And he said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up and looked and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again, seven times.

¹⁰ And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times and your flesh will come again to you and you will be clean.

¹² And behold, God is with us at our head and his priests with the trumpets of alarm to shout an alarm against you*. O sons of Israel, do not fight against Jehovah, the God of your* fathers. For you* will not prosper.

¹⁷ You* will not need to fight in this battle. Set yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of Jehovah with you*, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not fear, nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for Jehovah is with you*.

¹⁹ And the Levites, of the sons of the Kohathites and of the sons of the Korahites, stood up to praise Jehovah, the God of Israel, with an exceedingly loud voice.

²¹ And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who should sing to Jehovah and give praise in holy array, as they went out before the army and say, Give thanks to Jehovah. For his loving kindness is everlasting.

⁸ Now therefore, take to you* seven bullocks and seven rams. And go to my servant Job and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering. And my servant Job will pray for you*, for him I will accept, that I not deal with you* after your* senselessness. For you* have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.

¹³ And it will happen in that day, that a great trumpet will be blown. And they will come who were ready to perish in the land of Assyria and those who were outcasts in the land of Egypt. And they will worship Jehovah in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.

² And he said to me, What do you see? And I said, I have seen, and behold, a lamp-stand all of gold, with its bowl upon the top of it and its seven lamps on it. There are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are upon the top of it,

⁶ Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the word of Jehovah to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says Jehovah of hosts.

⁴ John to the seven congregations which are in Asia: grace to you and peace from God who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits that are in the sight of his throne;

²⁰ The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand and the seven golden lamp-stands is this : the seven stars are the messengers of the seven congregations and the seven lamp-stands are seven congregations.

¹ And I saw upon the right hand of the one who sits upon the throne a book having been written inside and on the back, having been sealed with seven seals.

⁶ And I saw in the middle of the throne and the four living creatures and in the middle of the elders, a Lamb standing, as one having been slaughtered, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God, being sent into all the earth.

²⁰ So the people shouted and the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, that the people shouted with a great shout and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him and they took the city.

⁵ And when the ark of the covenant of Jehovah came into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, so that the earth rang again.

²⁰ And David rose up early in the morning and left the sheep with a keeper and took and went as Jesse had commanded him. And he came to the place of the wagons as the army which was going forth to the fight shouted for the battle.

⁵² And the men of Israel and of Judah arose and shouted and pursued the Philistines until you come to Gai and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even to Gath and to Ekron.

¹⁴ And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind them. And they cried to Jehovah and the priests blew the trumpets. ¹⁵ Then the men of Judah gave a shout. And as the men of Judah shouted, it happened, that God killed* Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.

²¹ And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who should sing to Jehovah and give praise in holy array, as they went out before the army and say, Give thanks to Jehovah. For his loving kindness is everlasting. ²² And when they began to sing and to praise, Jehovah set an ambush against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir who came against Judah and they were struck.

¹² And the high fortress of your walls he has brought down, laid low and brought to the ground, even to the dust.

²⁵ And there will be upon every lofty mountain and upon every high hill, brooks and streams of waters, in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

¹⁵ Shout against her all around. She has submitted herself. Her ramparts are fallen. Her walls are thrown down. For it is the vengeance of Jehovah. Take vengeance upon her. As she has done, do to her.

⁴ For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but are mighty in God, toward the demolition of strongholds, ⁵ demolishing evil reasonings and every exalted thing which is lifting itself up against the knowledge of God and capturing every device of the Adversary to the obedience of the Christ;

³⁰ In faith, the walls of Jericho fell down, having been surrounded for seven days.

¹⁴ And you will put the staves into the rings on the sides of the ark, with which to bear the ark.

² And it will be, when you* draw near to the battle, that the priest will approach and speak to the people, ³ and will say to them, Hear, O Israel, you* draw near this day to battle against your* enemies. Do not let your* heart faint. Do not fear, nor tremble, neither be you* frightened at them. ⁴ For Jehovah your* God is he who goes with you*, to fight for you* against your* enemies, to save you*.

³ and they commanded the people, saying, When you* see the ark of the covenant of Jehovah your* God and the priests the Levites bearing it, then you* will move from your* place and go after it.

⁶ And Joshua spoke to the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant and went before the people.

⁸ And it was so, that, when Joshua had spoken to the people, the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns before Jehovah passed on and blew the trumpets. And the ark of the covenant of Jehovah followed them.

¹³ And the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of Jehovah went on continually and blew the trumpets. And the armed men went before them and the rearward came behind the ark of Jehovah, the priests blowing the trumpets as they went.

¹ But Saul, still breathing threatening and murder toward the disciples of the Lord, having come to the high-priest,

¹⁴ Your* wives, your* little ones and your* cattle, will abide in the land which Moses gave you* beyond the Jordan, but you* will pass over before your* brothers armed, all the mighty men of valor and will help them

¹³ About forty thousand ready armed for war passed over before Jehovah to battle, to the plains of Jericho.

³ And you* will encompass the city, all the men of war, going around the city once. Thus will you do six days.

²⁰ And Moses said to them, If you* will do this thing, if you* will arm yourselves to go before Jehovah to the war,

²⁵ And the standard of the camp of the sons of Dan, which was the rearward of all the camps, set forward according to their armies and over his army was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

¹¹ Depart, depart, go out from there. Touch no unclean thing. Go out of the midst of her. Cleanse yourselves, you* who bear the vessels of Jehovah. ¹² For you* will not go out in haste, nor will you* go by flight. For Jehovah will go before you* and the God of Israel will be your* rearward.

⁸ Then your light will break forth as the morning and your healing will spring forth speedily. And your righteousness will go before you. The glory of Jehovah will be your rearward.

²³ And when David inquired of Jehovah, he said, You will not go up. Make a circuit behind them and come upon them opposite the mulberry trees. ²⁴ And it will be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then you will move yourself, for then Jehovah has gone out before you to kill* the army of the Philistines.

¹⁶ Therefore thus says the lord Jehovah, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation, a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner- stone, a sure foundation. He who believes in him will never be shamed.

² He will not cry, nor lift up his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street.

¹⁹ ‘He will not have selfish ambition, nor will he cry-out; nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets.

⁴⁹ And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you, but you stick-around in the city of Jerusalem, until you should be clothed with power from on high.

⁷ Now he said to them, It is not yours to know times or seasons, which the Father placed in his own authority.

³ And Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey and took two of his young men with him and Isaac his son. And he split the wood for the burnt offering and rose up and went to the place of which God had told him.

²⁵ that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, saying,

⁶ And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests and said to them, Take up the ark of the covenant and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of Jehovah. ⁷ And they said to the people, Pass on and encompass the city and let the armed men pass on before the ark of Jehovah. ⁸ And it was so, that, when Joshua had spoken to the people, the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns before Jehovah passed on and blew the trumpets. And the ark of the covenant of Jehovah followed them.

⁵ His mother says to the servants, If he says anything to you, do it. ⁶ Now six stone water pots were placed there according to the Jews’cleansing, making room for two or three nine-gallon measures apiece.
⁷ Jesus says to them, Fill the water pots with water. And they filled them to the top. ⁸ And he says to them, Dip-out some now and carry it to the chief waiter.
And they carried it.

¹⁰ But Jesus said, Make^*\'b0 the people lean-back. Now much grass was in the place. Therefore the men reclined, approximately five thousand in number. ¹¹ Now Jesus took the loaves, and having given-thanks, he distributed it to the disciples and then to the disciples who had reclined; also likewise from the little-fish as many as they were wishing to eat.

⁶ Having said these things, he spits on the level-ground and made clay from the spit and anointed the clay on the eyes of the blind man, ⁷ and said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which is by translation, Sent). Therefore, he went away and washed and came back seeing.

⁷ In faith, Noah, having been divinely-warned concerning things not yet seen, and being scared, prepared an ark for the salvation of his house; through which he condemned the world and he became an heir of righteousness according to faith. ⁸ In faith, Abraham obeyed, being called to go out to the place which he was about to receive for an inheritance, and he went out, not knowing where he was going.

²⁶ And it happened, when God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, that they sacrificed seven bullocks and seven rams.

¹³ But he who has endured to the end, this one will be saved.

⁹ Now we should not be depressed in well doing; for we will be reaping in our own time, if we do not faint.

¹¹ So he caused the ark of Jehovah to encompass the city, going around it once. And they came into the camp and lodged in the camp.

¹⁵ And it happened on the seventh day, that they rose early at the dawning of the day and encompassed the city according to the same manner seven times. Only on that day they encompassed the city seven times.

¹⁴⁷ I anticipated the dawning of the morning and cried. I hoped in your words.

¹ Now after the Sabbath day, as it was dawning toward the first daylight of the week, Mary the Magdalene and the other Mary came to view the burial chamber.

¹⁹ And we have the steadfast prophetic word, (as to a lamp appearing in a dreary place, until the day should dawn and the morning-star might rise), to which you are doing well, and taking-heed in your hearts.

⁵ And it will be, that, when they make a prolonged blast with the ram's horn and when you* hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people will shout with a great shout. And the wall of the city will fall down flat and the people will go up every man straight before him.

¹⁵ Then the men of Judah gave a shout. And as the men of Judah shouted, it happened, that God killed* Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.

²² And when they began to sing and to praise, Jehovah set an ambush against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir who came against Judah and they were struck. ²³ For the sons of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, to kill* and destroy them utterly. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another of themselves.

³ And I will bless those who bless you and he who curses you I will curse. And all the families of the earth will be blessed in you.

²⁸ Notwithstanding, nothing set apart, that a man will set apart to Jehovah of all that he has, whether of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, will be sold or redeemed; everything set apart is most holy to Jehovah. ²⁹ No one set apart, who will be set apart from among men, will be ransomed; he will surely be put to death.

² And Israel vowed a vow to Jehovah and said, If you will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities. ³ And Jehovah listened to the voice of Israel and delivered up the Canaanites. And they utterly destroyed them and their cities. And the name of the place was called Hormah.

¹⁷ but you will utterly destroy them–the Hittite and the Amorite, the Canaanite and the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite–as Jehovah your God has commanded you,

¹ And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men as spies secretly, saying, Go, view the land and Jericho. And they went and came into the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab and lay down there.

⁴ And the woman took the two men and hid them. And she said, Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know from where they were. ⁵ And it happened about the time of the shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out. Where the men went I do not know. Pursue after them quickly, for you* will overtake them. ⁶ But she had brought them up to the roof and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof.

²² And they went and came to the mountain and abode there three days, until the pursuers were returned. And the pursuers sought them throughout all the way, but did not find them.

²² And Joshua said to the two men who had spied out the land, Go into the prostitute's house and bring out from there the woman and all that she has, as you* swore to her. ²³ And the young men, the spies, went in and brought out Rahab and her father and her mother and her brothers and all that she had. They also brought out all her kindred and they set them outside the camp of Israel.

¹ But the sons of Israel committed a trespass in what was set apart. For Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took from what was set apart and the anger of Jehovah was kindled against the sons of Israel.

⁶ And Saul said to the Kenites, Go, depart, you* get down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you* with them, for you* showed kindness to all the sons of Israel when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.

⁸ And that whoever did not come within three days, according to the counsel of the rulers and the elders, all his substance should be forfeited and himself separated from the assembly of the captivity.

⁶ The sword of Jehovah is filled with blood. It is made fat with fatness, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams, for Jehovah has a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

¹⁰ For that day is a day of the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries. And the sword will devour and be satiate and will drink its fill of their blood, for the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, has a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

¹⁷ And you, son of man, thus says the lord Jehovah: Speak to the birds of every sort and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves and come. Gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I sacrifice for you*, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that you* may eat flesh and drink blood.

¹³ Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion, for I will make your horn iron and I will make your hoofs brass and you will beat many peoples in pieces. And I will devote their gain to Jehovah and their substance to the Lord of the whole earth.

⁴¹ He who accepts a prophet in the name of a prophet, will be receiving a prophet’s reward, and he who accepts a righteous man in the name of a righteous man, will be receiving a righteous man’s reward. ⁴² And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to drink to one of these little ones, in the name of a disciple, assuredly I am saying to you, He may never lose his reward.

⁴⁰ And when the King answers, he will say to them, Assuredly I am saying to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of these, my brethren, even the least, you did it to me.

⁷ but we are speaking God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom which has been hidden, which God predetermined before the ages, for our glory.

²² If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. The Lord has come!

¹⁰ For as many as are from the works of the law are under a curse; for it has been written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is not remaining in all things which have been written in the book of the law, and to practice them.’

¹² Now the law is not from faith, but, ‘The man who does them will live in them.’

¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the labor of the love which you showed toward his name, having served the holy-ones and still serving them.

³¹ In faith, Rahab the prostitute did not perish together with the disobedient, having accepted the spies with peace.

²⁵ Now likewise, was not Rahab the prostitute also made righteous from works, when she accepted the messengers and put them out a different way?

²⁶ And you will not bring an abomination into your house and become a devoted thing like it. You will make it an abomination and you will utterly abhor it, for it is a cursed thing.

¹⁷ And nothing of the devoted thing will cling to your hand, that Jehovah may turn from the fierceness of his anger and show you mercy and have compassion upon you and multiply you, as he has sworn to your fathers,

¹¹ Israel has sinned. Yes, they have even transgressed my covenant which I commanded them. Yes, they have even taken from what was set apart and have also stolen and also dissembled. And they have even put it among their own stuff.
¹² Therefore the sons of Israel cannot stand before their enemies. They turn their backs before their enemies because they have become accursed. I will not be with you* any more unless you* destroy what was set apart from among you*.

¹⁵ And it will be, that he who is taken with the devoted thing will be burnt with fire, he and all that he has, because he has transgressed the covenant of Jehovah and because he has done senselessness in Israel.

²⁵ And Joshua said, Why have you troubled us? Jehovah will trouble you this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones and they burned them with fire and stoned them with stones.

¹⁸ that you* must turn away this day from following Jehovah? And it will be, seeing you* rebel today against Jehovah, that tomorrow he will be angry with the whole congregation of Israel.
¹⁹ However, if the land of your* possession is unclean, then pass over to the land of the possession of Jehovah, in which Jehovah's tabernacle dwells and take possession among us, but do not rebel against Jehovah, nor rebel against us, in building for you* an altar besides the altar of Jehovah our God. ²⁰ Did not Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in what was set apart and wrath fell upon all the congregation of Israel? And that man did not perish alone in his iniquity.

²⁸ Then one of the people answered and said, Your father strictly charged the people with an oath, saying, Cursed be the man who eats food this day and the people were faint.
²⁹ Then Jonathan said, My father has troubled the land. See, I beseech you*, how my eyes have been enlightened because I tasted a little of this honey. ³⁰ How much more, if perhaps the people had eaten freely today of the spoil of their enemies which they found? For now there has been no great slaughter among the Philistines.
³¹ And they killed* of the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon. And the people were very faint, ³² and the people flew upon the spoil and took sheep and oxen and calves and killed them on the ground. And the people ate them with the blood. ³³ Then they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin against Jehovah, in that they eat with the blood. And he said, you* have dealt treacherously. Roll a great stone to me this day.
³⁴ And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people and say to them, Bring me here every man his ox and every man his sheep and kill them here and eat. And do not sin against Jehovah in eating with the blood. And all the people brought every man his ox with him that night and killed them there. ³⁵ And Saul built an altar to Jehovah; the same was the first altar that he built to Jehovah.
³⁶ And Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines by night and take spoil among them until the morning light and let us not leave a man of them. And they said, Do whatever seems good to you. Then the priest said, Let us draw near here to God. ³⁷ And Saul asked counsel of God, Shall I go down after the Philistines? Will you deliver them into the hand of Israel? But he did not answer him that day.
³⁸ And Saul said, Draw near here, all you* chiefs of the people and know and see how this sin has been this day. ³⁹ For, as Jehovah lives, who saves Israel, though it is in Jonathan my son, he will surely die. But there was not a man among all the people who answered him. ⁴⁰ Then he said to all Israel, Be you* on one side and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said to Saul, Do what seems good to you.
⁴¹ Therefore Saul said to Jehovah, the God of Israel, Show the right. And Jonathan and Saul were taken by lot, but the people escaped. ⁴² And Saul said, Cast lots between me and Jonathan my son. And Jonathan was taken.

¹ And there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David sought the face of Jehovah. And Jehovah said, It is for Saul and for his bloody house, because he put to death the Gibeonites.

¹⁷ And it happened, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, Is it you, you troubler of Israel? ¹⁸ And he answered, I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father's house, in that you* have forsaken the commandments of Jehovah and you have followed the Baals.

¹⁸ Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.

¹² And he said to them, Take me up and cast me forth into the sea, so will the sea be calm to you*. For I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you*.

⁹ Let the love be non-pretended, abhorring evil things, joining yourselves to what is the good thing.

¹⁷ Hence ‘Come out from the midst of them and be separate,’says the Lord, ‘And touch no unclean thing, and I will accept you\super\'b0

¹¹ And have no fellowship together with the unfruitful works of darkness, but also rather reprove them;

²⁷ A clean and undefiled religion with our God and Father is this: to ^{F} visit ^{F} the orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

²¹ Guard yourselves from idols, my little-children. Amen.

²⁴ But in the fourth year all the fruit of it will be holy, for giving praise to Jehovah.

²² only the gold and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin and the lead–

¹¹ These also king David dedicated to Jehovah with the silver and gold that he dedicated of all the nations which he subdued:

⁵¹ Thus all the work that king Solomon worked in the house of Jehovah was finished. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated–the silver and the gold and the vessels–and put them in the treasuries of the house of Jehovah.

²⁶ And he took away the treasures of the house of Jehovah and the treasures of the king's house. He even took away all. And he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made.

¹³ And he carried out from there all the treasures of the house of Jehovah and the treasures of the king's house and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold, which Solomon King of Israel had made in the temple of Jehovah, as Jehovah had said.

¹¹ These also king David dedicated to Jehovah, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations: from Edom and from Moab and from the sons of Ammon and from the Philistines and from Amalek.

²⁰ And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God and over the treasures of the dedicated things.

²⁶ This Shelomoth and his brothers were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king and the heads of the fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds and the captains of the army, had dedicated.

²⁸ And all that Samuel the seer and Saul the son of Kish and Abner the son of Ner and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated, whoever had dedicated anything, it was under the hand of Shelomoth and of his brothers.

¹² and the pattern of all that he had by the Spirit, for the courts of the house of Jehovah and for all the chambers all around, for the treasuries of the house of God and for the treasuries of the dedicated things,

¹⁸ And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated and that he himself had dedicated, silver and gold and vessels.

¹² And they brought in the oblations and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully. And Conaniah the Levite was ruler over them and Shimei his brother was second.

⁷⁰ And some from among the heads of fathers gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury a thousand 128-grain weights of gold, fifty basins, five hundred and thirty priests' garments. ⁷¹ And some of the heads of fathers gave into the treasury of the work twenty thousand 128-grain weights of gold and two thousand and two hundred pounds of silver.

³⁸ And the priest the son of Aaron will be with the Levites when the Levites take tithes. And the Levites will bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure-house.

¹⁷ And it happened after the end of seventy years, that Jehovah examined Tyre and she has repented of her gift, that she play the prostitute with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth. ¹⁸ And her merchandise and her pay will be holiness to Jehovah. It will not be treasured nor laid up, for her merchandise will be for those who dwell before Jehovah, to eat sufficiently and for durable clothing.

¹¹ So Ebed-melech took the men with him and went into the house of the king under the treasury and took from there rags and worn-out garments and let them down by cords into the pit to Jeremiah.

²⁰ In that day there will be upon the bells of the horses, HOLY TO JEHOVAH and the pots in Jehovah's house will be like the bowls before the altar. ²¹ Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to Jehovah of hosts. And all those who sacrifice will come and take of them and boil in it. And in that day there will be no more a Canaanite in the house of Jehovah of hosts.

⁶ Now the high-priests took the pieces of silver and said, It is not legal to put them into the depository, since it is the price of blood.

⁴¹ And having sat down opposite the treasury, Jesus was viewing how the crowd cast brass coins into the treasury, and many who were rich were casting in much.

³⁴ And we took all his cities at that time and utterly destroyed every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones; we left none remaining.

² and when Jehovah your God will deliver them up before you and you will kill* them, then you will utterly destroy them. You will make no covenant with them, nor show mercy to them. ³ Neither will you make marriages with them. Your daughter you will not give to his son, nor his daughter will you take to your son.

¹⁶ And you will consume all the peoples that Jehovah your God will deliver to you. Your eye will not pity them. Neither will you serve their gods, for that will be a snare to you.

¹⁶ But of the cities of these peoples, that Jehovah your God gives you for an inheritance, you will save alive nothing that breathes, ¹⁷ but you will utterly destroy them–the Hittite and the Amorite, the Canaanite and the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite–as Jehovah your God has commanded you,

²⁴ And they answered Joshua and said, Because it was certainly told your servants, how that Jehovah your God commanded his servant Moses to give you* all the land and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you*. Therefore we were very afraid for our lives because of you* and have done this thing. ²⁵ And now, behold, we are in your hand. As it seems good and right to you to do to us, do.

²⁸ And Joshua took Makkedah on that day and killed* it with the edge of the sword and the king of it. He utterly destroyed them and all the souls that were in it. He left none remaining and he did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.

³⁹ And he took it and the king of it and all the cities of it. And they killed* them with the edge of the sword and utterly destroyed all the souls that were in it. He left none remaining. As he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir and to the king of it, as he had done also to Libnah and to the king of it.

¹⁴ And all the spoil of these cities and the cattle, the sons of Israel took for a prey to themselves, but every man they killed* with the edge of the sword until they had destroyed them, neither did they leave any who breathed.

³ Now go and kill* Amalek and utterly destroy all that they have and spare them not, but kill both man and woman, infant and nursing-baby, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.

⁸ And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.

¹⁸ And Jehovah sent you on a journey and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners, the Amalekites and fight against them until they are consumed.
¹⁹ Why then did you not obey the voice of Jehovah, but did fly upon the spoil and did what was evil in the sight of Jehovah?

⁴² And he said to him, Jehovah says thus, Because you have let go out of your hand the man whom I had devoted to destruction, therefore your life will go for his life and your people for his people.

⁸ O daughter of Babylon, who is to be destroyed, he will be fortunate who rewards you as you have served us. ⁹ He will be fortunate who takes and smashes your little ones against the rock.

¹⁸ O you daughter who dwells in Dibon, come down from your glory and sit in thirst, for the destroyer of Moab has come up against you. He has destroyed your strongholds.

²¹ And a strong messenger took up a stone like a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying, So Babylon, the great city, will be cast down, with a violent-impulse, and may never be found anymore.

And they went and came into the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab and lay down there. ² And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, men came in here tonight of the sons of Israel to search out the land. ³ And the king of Jericho sent to Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men who came to you, who have entered into your house, for they have come to search out all the land.
⁴ And the woman took the two men and hid them. And she said, Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know from where they were. ⁵ And it happened about the time of the shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out. ⁸ And before they were laid down, she came up to them upon the roof. ⁹ And she said to the men, I know that Jehovah has given you* the land and that the fear of you* has fallen upon us. And that all the inhabitants of the land melt away before you*.
¹⁰ For we have heard how Jehovah dried up the water of the Red Sea before you* when you* came out of Egypt and what you* did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and to Og, whom you* utterly destroyed. ¹¹ And as soon as we had heard it, our hearts melted, neither did there remain any more spirit in any man because of you*, for Jehovah your* God, he is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.
¹² Now therefore, I beseech you*, swear to me by Jehovah, since I have dealt kindly with you*, that you* also will deal kindly with my father's house and give me a true token, ¹³ and that you* will save alive my father and my mother and my brothers and my sisters and all that they have and will deliver our lives from death. ¹⁴ And the men said to her, Our life for yours* if you* do not utter this our business. And it will be, when Jehovah gives us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with you.
¹⁵ Then she let them down by a cord through the window, for her house was upon the side of the wall and she dwelt upon the wall. ¹⁶ And she said to them, You* get to the mountain lest the pursuers come upon you*. And hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned and afterward you* may go your* way.
¹⁷ And the men said to her, We will be guiltless of this your oath which you have made us to swear. ¹⁸ Behold, when we come into the land, you will bind this line of scarlet cord in the window which you let us down by. And you will gather to you into the house your father and your mother and your brothers and all your father's household.
¹⁹ And it will be, that whoever will go out of the doors of your house into the street, his blood will be upon his head and we will be guiltless. And whoever will be with you in the house, his blood will be on our head if any hand be upon him. ²⁰ But if you utter this our business, then we will be guiltless of your oath which you have made us to swear. ²¹ And she said, According to your* words, so be it. And she sent them away and they departed. And she bound the scarlet line in the window.
²² And they went and came to the mountain and abode there three days, until the pursuers were returned. And the pursuers sought them throughout all the way, but did not find them. ²³ Then the two men returned and descended from the mountain and passed over and came to Joshua the son of Nun. And they told him all that had befallen them. ²⁴ And they said to Joshua, Truly Jehovah has delivered into our hands all the land and moreover all the inhabitants of the land melt away before us.

¹⁷ And the city will be set apart, even it and all that is in it, to Jehovah. Only Rahab the prostitute will live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.

¹⁵ And Joshua made peace with them and made a covenant with them to let them live and the rulers of the congregation swore to them.

¹⁸ And the sons of Israel did not kill* them, because the rulers of the congregation had sworn to them by Jehovah, the God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against the rulers. ¹⁹ But all the rulers said to all the congregation, We have sworn to them by Jehovah, the God of Israel, now therefore we may not touch them.
²⁰ This we will do to them and let them live, lest wrath be upon us because of the oath which we swore to them.

² And the king called the Gibeonites and spoke to them (now the Gibeonites were not of the sons of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites and the sons of Israel had sworn to them and yet Saul sought to kill them in his zeal for the sons of Israel and Judah),

⁷ But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of Jehovah's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.

⁴ in whose eyes those who reject God are despised, but who honors those who fear Jehovah, he that swears to his own hurt and changes not,

¹³ And he took of the seed royal and made a covenant with him. He also brought him under an oath and took away the mighty of the land,

¹⁶ As I live, says the lord Jehovah, surely in the place where the king dwells who made him king, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke, even with him in the midst of Babylon he will die.

¹⁸ For he has despised the oath by breaking the covenant. And behold, he had given his hand and yet has done all these things. He will not escape.
¹⁹ Therefore thus says the lord Jehovah: As I live, surely my oath that he has despised and my covenant that he has broken, I will even bring it upon his own head.

² And I will make of you a great nation and I will bless you and make your name great and you will be a blessing.

²⁴ Perhaps there are fifty righteous men within the city. Will you consume and not spare the place for the fifty righteous men that are in it?

²⁹ And it happened, when God destroyed the cities of the Plain, that God remembered Abraham and that he sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot dwelt.

² Command the sons of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper and every man who has a discharge and whoever is unclean about life. ³ You* will put out both male and female. You* will put them outside the camp, that they not defile their camp, in the midst of which I dwell.

¹⁹ And encamp you* outside the camp seven days. Whoever has killed any person and whoever has touched any slain, purify yourselves on the third day and on the seventh day, you* and your* captives.

¹³ and that you* will save alive my father and my mother and my brothers and my sisters and all that they have and will deliver our lives from death.

¹⁸ Behold, when we come into the land, you will bind this line of scarlet cord in the window which you let us down by. And you will gather to you into the house your father and your mother and your brothers and all your father's household.

²⁸ And he said to them, You yourselves know how it is an illegal thing for a man who is a Jew to be joined or to come to heathen, and yet God showed to me to speak of no man as common or unclean.

²⁴ saying, Do not fear, Paul; it is essential for you to stand-before Caesar and behold, God has granted to you all those who are sailing with you.

¹² For what is it to me to judge those who are outside? Are you not judging those who are inside?

¹² that you were separate from Christ at the time, having been alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and were godless in the world.

⁷ In faith, Noah, having been divinely-warned concerning things not yet seen, and being scared, prepared an ark for the salvation of his house; through which he condemned the world and he became an heir of righteousness according to faith.

¹⁶ And you will gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street of it and will burn the city with fire and all the spoil of it, every whit, to Jehovah your God and it will be a heap everlasting. It will not be built again.

¹⁹ But all the silver and gold and vessels of brass and iron, are holy to Jehovah. They will come into the treasury of Jehovah.

²⁸ So Joshua burnt Ai and made it an everlasting heap, even a desolation, to this day.

⁹ And he burnt the house of Jehovah and the king's house. And all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house, he burnt with fire.

¹⁶ And the ten horns which you saw and the beast, these will hate the prostitute and will make her desolate and will make her naked and will eat her flesh and will be burning her up in fire.

⁸ Because of this, in one day her wounds will come–death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned in fire, because strong is the Lord God who judged her.

⁶ But she had brought them up to the roof and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof.

⁹ And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of the Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests who bore the ark of the covenant stood and they are there to this day.

¹⁹ There was not a city that made peace with the sons of Israel, except the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon. They took all in battle. ²⁰ For it was of Jehovah to harden their hearts, to come against Israel in battle, that he might utterly destroy them, that they might have no favor, but that he might destroy them as Jehovah commanded Moses.

²⁴ And the spies saw a man come forth out of the city and they said to him, Please show us, the entrance into the city and we will deal kindly with you. ²⁵ And he showed them the entrance into the city. And they killed* the city with the edge of the sword, but they let the man go and all his family.

⁵ and Salmon fathered Boaz from Rahab; and Boaz fathered Obed from Ruth; and Obed fathered Jesse;

²¹ And it will be, that everyone, whoever calls upon the name of the Lord, will be saved.’

¹⁹ And the priest will cause her to swear and will say to the woman, If no man has lain with you and if you have not gone aside to uncleanness, being under your husband, you are free from this water of bitterness that causes the curse. ²⁰ But if you have gone aside, being under your husband and if you are defiled and some man has lain with you besides your husband, ²¹ then the priest will cause the woman to swear with the oath of cursing and the priest will say to the woman, Jehovah make you a curse and an oath among your people when Jehovah makes your thigh to fall away and your body to swell.

²⁴ And the men of Israel were distressed that day, for Saul had put the people under an oath, saying, Cursed be the man who eats any food until it is evening and I am avenged on my enemies. So none of the people tasted food. ²⁵ And all the people came into the forest and there was honey upon the ground. ²⁶ And when the people came to the forest, behold, the honey dropped, but no man put his hand to his mouth, for the people feared the oath.
²⁷ But Jonathan heard not when his father charged the people with the oath, therefore he put forth the end of the rod that was in his hand and dipped it in the honeycomb and put his hand to his mouth and his eyes were enlightened. ²⁸ Then one of the people answered and said, Your father strictly charged the people with an oath, saying, Cursed be the man who eats food this day and the people were faint.
²⁹ Then Jonathan said, My father has troubled the land. See, I beseech you*, how my eyes have been enlightened because I tasted a little of this honey. ³⁰ How much more, if perhaps the people had eaten freely today of the spoil of their enemies which they found? For now there has been no great slaughter among the Philistines.
³¹ And they killed* of the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon. And the people were very faint, ³² and the people flew upon the spoil and took sheep and oxen and calves and killed them on the ground. And the people ate them with the blood. ³³ Then they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin against Jehovah, in that they eat with the blood. And he said, you* have dealt treacherously. Roll a great stone to me this day.
³⁴ And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people and say to them, Bring me here every man his ox and every man his sheep and kill them here and eat. And do not sin against Jehovah in eating with the blood. And all the people brought every man his ox with him that night and killed them there. ³⁵ And Saul built an altar to Jehovah; the same was the first altar that he built to Jehovah.
³⁶ And Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines by night and take spoil among them until the morning light and let us not leave a man of them. And they said, Do whatever seems good to you. Then the priest said, Let us draw near here to God. ³⁷ And Saul asked counsel of God, Shall I go down after the Philistines? Will you deliver them into the hand of Israel? But he did not answer him that day.
³⁸ And Saul said, Draw near here, all you* chiefs of the people and know and see how this sin has been this day. ³⁹ For, as Jehovah lives, who saves Israel, though it is in Jonathan my son, he will surely die. But there was not a man among all the people who answered him. ⁴⁰ Then he said to all Israel, Be you* on one side and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said to Saul, Do what seems good to you.
⁴¹ Therefore Saul said to Jehovah, the God of Israel, Show the right. And Jonathan and Saul were taken by lot, but the people escaped. ⁴² And Saul said, Cast lots between me and Jonathan my son. And Jonathan was taken.
⁴³ Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what you have done. And Jonathan told him and said, I did certainly taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in my hand. And behold, I must die. ⁴⁴ And Saul said, God do so and more also, for you will surely die, Jonathan.
⁴⁵ And the people said to Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who has worked this great salvation in Israel? Far from it. As Jehovah lives, there will not one hair of his head fall to the ground, for he has worked with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he did not die. ⁴⁶ Then Saul went up from following the Philistines and the Philistines went to their own place.

³⁴ In his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho. He laid the foundation of it with the loss of Abiram his firstborn and set up the gates of it with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.

¹⁶ And the king said to him, How many times shall I make you swear that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of Jehovah?

⁴ If Edom says, We are beaten down, but we will return and build the waste places, Jehovah of hosts says thus: They will build, but I will throw down and men will call them the border of wickedness and the people against whom Jehovah has indignation everlasting.

⁶³ But Jesus was silent. And the high-priest answered and said to him, I implore you by the living God, in order that you should tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God?

¹³ But also, some exorcists from the strolling Jews undertook the task to name the name of the Lord Jesus upon those who had the evil spirits, saying, We implore you on the Jesus whom Paul is preaching.

² And Jehovah was with Joseph. And he was a man who succeeds. And he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
³ And his master saw that Jehovah was with him and that Jehovah made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

²¹ But Jehovah was with Joseph and showed kindness to him and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

⁶ Be strong and of good courage, do not fear, nor be frightened at them, for Jehovah your God, he it is who goes with you. He will not leave you, nor forsake you.

⁵ There will not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you, nor forsake you.

⁹ Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage. Do not be frightened, neither be dismayed, for Jehovah your God is with you wherever you go.

¹ And it happened, when all the kings who were beyond the Jordan, in the hill-country and in the lowland and on all the shore of the great sea in front of Lebanon–the Hittite and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite–heard of it,

³ But when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done to Jericho and to Ai,

⁹ And they said to him, From a very far country. Your servants have come because of the name of Jehovah your God, for we have heard the fame of him and all that he did in Egypt,

³⁰ Therefore Jehovah, the God of Israel, says, I said indeed that your house and the house of your father, should walk before me everlasting, but now Jehovah says, Be it far from me, for those who honor me I will honor and those who despise me will be lightly esteemed.

⁹ And I have been with you wherever you went and have cut off all your enemies from before you. And I will make you a great name, like the name of the great ones that are on the earth.

²⁴ And the report of him went forth into the whole of Syria and they brought to him all who were ill, held by various diseases and torments and demon-possessed and epileptic and paralytics, and he healed them.

¹ Herod the Tetrarch heard the report of Jesus at that time,

²⁰ For where two or three have been gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, as many things as I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the earth.
Amen.

⁹ Now the Lord said to Paul through a vision in the night, Do not be afraid, but speak out and do not be silent, ¹⁰ because I am with you and no one will be laying a hand on you to mistreat you, because there are many people in this city believing in me.

¹⁴ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, is with all of you.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood beside me and empowered me; in order that the preaching might be fully assured through me and in order that all the Gentiles might hear and I was rescued out of the mouth of the lion.

²² The Lord Jesus Christ, is with your spirit. Grace is with you. Amen.
