²⁰ And you will command the sons of Israel, that they bring to you pure beaten olive oil for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually ²¹ in the tent of meeting, outside the veil which is before the testimony. Aaron and his sons will keep it in order from evening to morning before Jehovah. It will be an everlasting statute throughout their genealogy from the sons of Israel.

³⁷ the pure lamp-stand, the lamps of it, even the lamps to be set in order and all the vessels of it and the oil for the light,

²⁴ And he put the lamp-stand in the tent of meeting, opposite the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.

² Speak to Aaron and say to him, When you light the lamps, the seven lamps will give light in front of the lamp-stand. ³ And Aaron did so. He lit the lamps of it in front of the lamp-stand, as Jehovah commanded Moses. ⁴ And this was the work of the lamp-stand, beaten work of gold. To the base of it, and to the flowers of it, it was beaten work. According to the pattern which Jehovah had shown Moses, so he made the lamp-stand.

³ and the lamp of God was not yet gone out and Samuel was laid down in the temple of Jehovah where the ark of God was, ⁴ that Jehovah called Samuel. And he said, Here I am.

¹¹ And they burn to Jehovah every morning and every evening burnt offerings and sweet incense. Also they set the showbread in order upon the pure table and the lamp-stand of gold with the lamps of it to burn every evening. For we keep the charge of Jehovah our God, but you* have forsaken him.

¹⁰⁵ Your word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path.

¹³⁰ The opening of your words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple.

²³ Because the commandment is a lamp and the law is light and reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

²⁰ Seek to the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.

² And the Spirit of Jehovah will rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.

¹⁶ the people who sit in darkness saw a great light and to those who sit in the region and shadow of death, light has risen for them.’

¹⁶ So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and may glorify your Father, the one in the heavens.

¹ Then the kingdom of the heavens will be similar to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went forth to the encounter of the bridegroom. ² Now five out of them were prudent and five were foolish. ³ Those who were foolish, having taken their lamps, took no oil with them; ⁴ but the prudent took oil in their containers with their lamps. ⁵ Now the bridegroom while he was delaying, they all slumbered and were sleeping. ⁶ But in the middle of the night, there has become an outcry, Behold, the bridegroom is coming! Go forth to the encounter of him. ⁷ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. ⁸ Now the foolish said to the prudent, Give us some oil from your oil, because our lamps are quenched.

⁷⁹ to appear upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death; to steer our feet into the way of peace.

³⁵ Let your loins be girded, and your lamps burning;

⁴ In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

⁹ He was the true light coming into the world, the light which illuminates every man.

³⁵ He was that lamp which burns and appears bright, and you were willing to be glad for a season in his light.

¹² Therefore, again Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. He who is following me may never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.

¹⁸ to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of the Adversary to God, in order for them to receive forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance among those who have been made holy in faith, the faith in me.

⁶ Because it is God, who said, ‘Illumination shine’out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ in order that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of him, ¹⁸ the eyes of your heart having been enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance among the holy-ones,

⁸ For you were previously in darkness, but now you^\'b0 are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light ⁹ (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth), ¹⁰ testing what is well pleasing to the Lord. ¹¹ And have no fellowship together with the unfruitful works of darkness, but also rather reprove them; ¹² for it is shameful even to speak of the things happening by them covertly. ¹³ But being reproved, all things are manifested by the light; for everything which is manifested is light. ¹⁴ Hence he says, Arise, you who are sleeping and rise up from the dead and the Christ will appear upon you.

¹⁵ in order that you might become blameless and harmless children of God, flawless in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as illuminations in the world. ¹⁶ Keep holding onto the word of life, for a boast to me in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain nor labored in vain.
