¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses at Mount Sinai, saying, ² Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, When you* come into the land which I give you*, then will the land keep a Sabbath to Jehovah. ³ Six years you will sow your field and six years you will prune your vineyard and gather in the fruits of it, ⁴ but in the seventh year will be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to Jehovah. You will neither sow your field, nor prune your vineyard. ⁵ What grows of itself of your harvest you will not reap and the grapes of your undressed vine you will not gather. It will be a year of solemn rest for the land. ⁶ And the Sabbath of the land will be for food for you*: for you and for your servant and for your maid and for your hired servant and for your stranger, who travels with you. ⁷ And for your cattle and for the beasts that are in your land, all the increase of it will be for food.
⁸ And you will number seven Sabbaths of years to you, seven times seven years and there will be to you the days of seven Sabbaths of years, even forty-nine years. ⁹ Then you will send abroad the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. In the day of atonement you* will send abroad the trumpet throughout all your* land. ¹⁰ And you* will sanctify the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all the inhabitants of it. It will be a jubilee to you* and you* will return every man to his possession and you* will return every man to his family.
¹¹ That fiftieth year will be a jubilee to you*. You* will not sow, neither reap what grows of itself in it, nor gather in it of the undressed vines.
¹² For it is a jubilee; it will be holy to you*. You* will eat the increase of it out of the field.
¹³ In this year of jubilee you* will return every man to his possession. ¹⁴ And if you sell anything to your neighbor, or buy of your neighbor's hand, you* will not wrong each other. ¹⁵ According to the number of years after the jubilee you will buy of your neighbor and according to the number of years of the crops he will sell to you. ¹⁶ According to the multitude of the years you will increase the price of it and according to the fewness of the years you will diminish the price of it, for the number of the crops he sells to you.
¹⁷ And you* will not wrong each other, but you will fear your God, for I am Jehovah your* God. ¹⁸ Therefore you* will do my statutes and keep my ordinances and do them and you* will dwell in the land in safety. ¹⁹ And the land will yield its fruit and you* will eat your* fill and dwell in safety in it.
²⁰ And if you* will say, What will we eat the seventh year? Behold, we will not sow, nor gather in our increase, ²¹ then I will command my blessing upon you* in the sixth year and it will bring forth fruit for the three years. ²² And you* will sow the eighth year and eat of the fruits, the old storage, until the ninth year. Until its fruits come in, you* will eat the old storage.
²³ And the land will not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine. For you* are strangers and travelers with me. ²⁴ And in all the land of your* possession you* will grant a redemption for the land. ²⁵ If your brother becomes poor and sells some of his possession, then his kinsman who is next to him will come and will redeem what his brother has sold. ²⁶ And if a man has no one to redeem it and he becomes rich and finds sufficient to redeem it, ²⁷ then let him reckon the years of the sale of it and restore the excess to the man to whom he sold it and he will return to his possession. ²⁸ But if he is not able to get it back for himself, then what he has sold will remain in the hand of him who has bought it until the year of jubilee. And in the jubilee it will go out and he will return to his possession.
²⁹ And if a man sells a dwelling-house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold. For a full year he will have the right of redemption. ³⁰ And if it is not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city will be made sure in perpetuity to him who bought it, throughout his genealogy. It will not go out in the jubilee. ³¹ But the houses of the villages which have no wall all around them will be reckoned with the fields of the country. They may be redeemed and they will go out in the jubilee.
³² Nevertheless the cities of the Levites, the houses of the cities of their possession, the Levites may have an everlasting redemption rights. ³³ And if a man purchases from the Levites, then the house that was sold and the city of his possession, will go out in the jubilee. For the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the sons of Israel. ³⁴ But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold, for it is their perpetual possession.
³⁵ And if your brother becomes poor and his hand shakes toward you, then you will help him; he will live with you as a stranger and a traveler. ³⁶ You take no interest from him or increase, but fear your God, that your brother may live with you. ³⁷ You will not give him your money upon interest, nor give him your food for profit. ³⁸ I am Jehovah your* God, who brought you* forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you* the land of Canaan and to be your* God.
³⁹ And if your brother becomes poor with you and sells himself to you, you will not impose upon him servile labor. ⁴⁰ He will be with you as a hired servant and as a traveler. He will serve with you to the year of jubilee. ⁴¹ Then he will go out from you, he and his sons with him and will return to his own family. And he will return to the possession of his fathers. ⁴² For they are my servants, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt. They will not be sold as bondmen. ⁴³ You will not rule over him with rigor, but will fear your God.
⁴⁴ And as for your bondmen and your bondmaids, whom you will have, from the nations that are all around you*, you* will buy bondmen and bondmaids from them. ⁴⁵ Moreover of the sons of the strangers who journey among you*, you* will buy from them and from their families that are with you*, which they have fathered in your* land and they will be your* possession. ⁴⁶ And you* will make them an inheritance for your* sons after you*, to hold for a possession. You* will take your* everlasting bondmen from them, but over your* brothers the sons of Israel you* will not rule, one over another, with rigor.
⁴⁷ And if a stranger or traveler with you becomes rich and your brother becomes poor beside him and sells himself to the stranger or traveler with you, or to the stock of the stranger's family, ⁴⁸ he may be redeemed after he is sold. One of his brothers may redeem him. ⁴⁹ Or his uncle, or his uncle's son, may redeem him. Or any who is near of kin to him of his family may redeem him. Or if he becomes rich, he may redeem himself.
⁵⁰ And he will reckon with him who bought him from the year that he sold himself to him to the year of jubilee. And the price of his sale will be according to the number of years. He will be with him according to the time of a hired servant. ⁵¹ If there is yet many years, according to them he will give back the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for. ⁵² And if there remain but few years to the year of jubilee, then he will reckon with him. He will give back the price of his redemption according to his years. ⁵³ He will be with him as a servant hired year by year. He will not rule with rigor over him in your sight. ⁵⁴ And if he is not redeemed by these means, then he will go out in the year of jubilee, he and his sons with him. ⁵⁵ For the sons of Israel are servants to me. They are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt. I am Jehovah your* God.

¹ In the third month after the sons of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tent of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they came out of the land of Egypt, saying,

¹¹ And it happened in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the testimony. ¹² And the sons of Israel set forward according to their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai and the cloud abode in the wilderness of Paran.

²⁴ Which things are allegorized; for these women are two covenants; indeed one from Mount Sinai, who is Hagar, giving-birth to children into bondage. ²⁵ For this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the Jerusalem which is now and she is enslaved with her children.

¹⁰ And six years you will sow your land and will gather in the increase of it,

³⁴ When you* have come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you* for a possession and I put a leprous disease in a house of the land of your* possession,

³² It will be to you* a Sabbath of solemn rest and you* will afflict your* souls. In the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you* will keep your* Sabbath.

³⁴ Then the land will enjoy its Sabbaths, as long as it lies desolate and you* are in your* enemies' land, even then will the land rest and enjoy its Sabbaths. ³⁵ As long as it lies desolate it will have rest, even the rest which it had not in your* Sabbaths, when you* dwelt upon it.

⁸ When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of men, he set the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the sons of Israel.

⁴⁹ You get up onto this mountain of Abarim, to Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is opposite Jericho and behold the land of Canaan, which I give to the sons of Israel for a possession.

⁴ And Jehovah said to him, This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob, saying, I will give it to your seed. I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you will not go over there.

²¹ to fulfill the word of Jehovah by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths; as long as it lay desolate it kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.

¹ The earth is Jehovah's and the fullness of it, the world and those who dwell in it. ² Because he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the floods.

¹⁶ The heavens are the heavens of Jehovah, but the earth he has given to the sons of men.

⁸ and it will sweep onward into Judah. It will overflow and pass through; it will reach even to the neck. And the stretching out of its wings will fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.

⁵ I have made the earth, the men and the beasts that are upon the face of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm and I give it to whom it seems right to me.

¹⁰ And six years you will sow your land and will gather in the increase of it, ¹¹ but the seventh year you will let it rest and lie tillable, that the poor of your people may eat and what they leave the beast of the field will eat. In like manner you will deal with your vineyard and with your olive-grove.

²⁰ And if you* will say, What will we eat the seventh year? Behold, we will not sow, nor gather in our increase, ²¹ then I will command my blessing upon you* in the sixth year and it will bring forth fruit for the three years. ²² And you* will sow the eighth year and eat of the fruits, the old storage, until the ninth year. Until its fruits come in, you* will eat the old storage.
²³ And the land will not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine. For you* are strangers and travelers with me.

⁴³ The land also will be left by them and will enjoy its Sabbaths while it lies desolate without them. And they will accept of the punishment of their iniquity, because, even because they rejected my ordinances and their soul loathed my statutes.

²⁹ And this will be the sign to you: You* will eat this year what grows of itself and in the second year what springs of the same. And in the third year sow you* and reap and plant vineyards and eat the fruit of it.

³⁰ And this will be the sign to you. You* will eat this year what grows of itself and in the second year what springs of the same and in the third year sow you* and reap and plant vineyards and eat the fruit of it.

¹¹ but the seventh year you will let it rest and lie tillable, that the poor of your people may eat and what they leave the beast of the field will eat. In like manner you will deal with your vineyard and with your olive-grove.

²⁰ And if you* will say, What will we eat the seventh year? Behold, we will not sow, nor gather in our increase,

⁴⁴ But all who believed were in the same mind and had all things common.

³² Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul and not one of them said that anything of his possessions was his own, but they had all things common.

³⁴ For neither anyone among them was needy. For as many as were owners of parcels of ground or houses, were selling them and were bringing the prices of the things which were sold, ³⁵ and were laying them beside the apostles’feet and were being distributed to each, insomuch as anyone was having a need.

² And God finished his work by the seventh day which he had made and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

¹⁵ And you* will count to you* from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you* brought the sheaf of the wave offering, there will be complete seven Sabbaths.

²⁰ And when he has made an end of atoning for the holy place and the tent of meeting and the altar, he will present the live goat.

³⁰ For on this day atonement will be made for you*, to cleanse you*. You* will be clean from all your* sins before Jehovah.

²⁴ Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, will be a solemn rest to you*, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

²⁷ However on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement. It will be a holy convocation to you* and you* will afflict your* souls and you* will offer an offering made by fire to Jehovah.

¹⁰ And you* will sanctify the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all the inhabitants of it. It will be a jubilee to you* and you* will return every man to his possession and you* will return every man to his family.
¹¹ That fiftieth year will be a jubilee to you*. You* will not sow, neither reap what grows of itself in it, nor gather in it of the undressed vines.
¹² For it is a jubilee; it will be holy to you*. You* will eat the increase of it out of the field.

¹⁷ If he sanctifies his field from the year of jubilee, according to your estimation it will stand.

²⁴ In the year of jubilee the field will return to him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land belongs.

¹⁰ Also in the day of your* gladness and in your* set feasts and in the beginnings of your* months, you* will blow the trumpets over your* burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your* peace offerings. And they will be to you* for a memorial before your* God: I am Jehovah your* God.

⁴ And when the jubilee of the sons of Israel will be, then their inheritance will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they will belong. So their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.

¹⁵ The people who know the shout of you are fortunate. O Jehovah, they walk in the light of your countenance.

³⁸ Therefore brethren, let it be known to you that forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you through this one; ³⁹ and everyone who believes is made righteous in this one; you were not able to be made righteous from all the things of which were in the Law of Moses.

¹⁸ But I am saying, ‘Did they not hear?’But-rather, ‘Their sounds went out into all the earth and their declarations to the ends of the inhabited-earth.’

¹⁹ in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit of God. So-then, I have fulfilled the good-news of the Christ from Jerusalem and in a circle, as far as Illyricum.

¹⁹ as that, God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ not counting to them their trespasses and having placed the word of reconciliation in us. ²⁰ Therefore, we are ambassadors on behalf of Christ; as though God is encouraging you through us. We are beseeching you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. ²¹ For the one who knew no sin, he was made the sin offering on our behalf; in order that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

⁸ For the word of the Lord has echoed forth from you, not only in Macedonia and in Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone forth; so-that we do not need to say anything.

² I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

¹³ In this year of jubilee you* will return every man to his possession.

¹⁷ If he sanctifies his field from the year of jubilee, according to your estimation it will stand. ¹⁸ But if he sanctifies his field after the jubilee, then the priest will reckon to him the money according to the years that remain to the year of jubilee and an abatement will be made from your estimation.
¹⁹ And if he who made the field holy will indeed redeem it, then he will add the fifth part of the money of your estimation to it and it will be assured to him. ²⁰ And if he will not redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it will not be redeemed any more, ²¹ but the field, when it goes out in the jubilee, will be holy to Jehovah, as a field set apart; the possession of it will be the priest's.
²² And if he sanctifies to Jehovah a field which he has bought, which is not of the field of his possession, ²³ then the priest will reckon to him the worth of your estimation to the year of jubilee and he will give your estimation in that day, as a holy thing to Jehovah. ²⁴ In the year of jubilee the field will return to him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land belongs.

² And they said, Jehovah commanded my lord to give the land for inheritance by lot to the sons of Israel. And my lord was commanded by Jehovah to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother to his daughters.
³ And if they are married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the sons of Israel, then their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of our fathers and will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they will belong. So it will be taken away from the lot of our inheritance. ⁴ And when the jubilee of the sons of Israel will be, then their inheritance will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they will belong. So their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.
⁵ And Moses commanded the sons of Israel according to the word of Jehovah, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph speak right. ⁶ This is the thing which Jehovah commands concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them be married to whom they think best, only they will be married into the family of the tribe of their father. ⁷ So no inheritance of the sons of Israel will remove from tribe to tribe, for the sons of Israel will cling each one to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers. ⁸ And every daughter, who possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the sons of Israel, will be wife to one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the sons of Israel may possess every man the inheritance of his fathers. ⁹ So no inheritance will move from one tribe to another tribe, for the tribes of the sons of Israel will cling each one to his own inheritance.

³ Whoever there is among you* of all his people, his God be with him and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah and build the house of Jehovah, the God of Israel (he is God), which is in Jerusalem.

⁷ who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. Jehovah releases the prisoners.

⁹ saying to those who are bound, Go forth; to those who are in darkness, Show yourselves. They will feed in the ways and their pasture will be on all bare heights.

²⁴ Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives be delivered? ²⁵ But Jehovah says thus, Even the captives of the mighty will be taken away and the prey of the terrible will be delivered.
For I will contend with him who contends with you and I will save your sons.

¹ The Spirit of the lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind and the opening of bonds to those who are bound, ² to proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, ³ to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

⁴ For the day of vengeance was in my heart and the year of my redeemed has come.

⁸ The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, after the king Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people who were at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty to them,

¹³ Jehovah says thus, the God of Israel: I made a covenant with your* fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, saying, ¹⁴ At the end of seven years you* will let go every man his brother who is a Hebrew, who has been sold to you and has served you six years. You will let him go free from you. But your* fathers listened not to me, nor inclined their ear.
¹⁵ And you* were now turned and had done what is right in my eyes, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbor. And you* had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name.
¹⁶ But you* turned and profaned my name and caused every man his servant and every man his handmaid, whom you* had let go free at their pleasure, to return. And you* brought them into subjection, to be to you* for servants and for handmaids.
¹⁷ Therefore Jehovah says thus: You* have not listened to me, to proclaim liberty, every man to his brother and every man to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim to you* a liberty, says Jehovah–to the sword, to the pestilence and to the famine. And I will make you* to be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth.

¹¹ As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant I have set free your prisoners from the pit in which is no water.
¹² Turn back to the stronghold, you* prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will render double to you.

⁷⁴ having been fearlessly rescued out of the hand of our enemies, to give-divine service to him

¹⁶ And he came to Nazareth, where he was reared up, and according to his custom, he entered into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up to read. ¹⁷ And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. And having unrolled the scroll and found the place where it had been written, ¹⁸ ‘ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, in that, he anointed me to proclaim the good-news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the crushed in heart, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth the downtrodden in deliverance, ¹⁹ to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.’ ²⁰ And having furled the scroll and giving it back to the attendant, he sat down, and the eyes of all were staring at him in the synagogue. ²¹ But he began to say to them, This Scripture has been fulfilled today in your ears.

³² and you will know the truth and the truth will be making you free. ³³ They answered him, We are Abraham’s seed and have been enslaved to no one at anytime. How do you say, You will become free?
³⁴ Jesus answered them, Assuredly, assuredly, I am saying to you, Everyone who practices sin is the bondservant of sin.
³⁵ Now the bondservant does not abide in the house forever; the son abides forever. ³⁶ Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you really will be free.

¹⁷ But gratitude to God, that, though you were bondservants of sin, you obeyed from the heart the pattern of teaching to which you were given; ¹⁸ and having been made free from sin, you were enslaved to righteousness.

¹⁷ Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

²⁵ For this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the Jerusalem which is now and she is enslaved with her children.

¹³ For brethren, you were called to freedom; only do not use your freedom for a starting-point for the flesh, but serve^*\'b0 one another through love.

¹⁶ as free and yet not having your freedom as a cover-up of malice, but as bondservants of God.

¹⁹ They are promising them freedom, when they themselves are bondservants of corruption. For in what anyone has been succumbed, in this, he has also been enslaved. ²⁰ For if, having fled away from the defilements of the world in the full knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and having been again entangled, they are succumbed in these things, the last state has become worse to them than the first.

¹³ You will not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant will not abide with you all night until the morning.

¹⁷ And you* will not wrong each other, but you will fear your God, for I am Jehovah your* God.

¹⁹ You will not distort justice. You will not respect persons, neither will you take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous. ²⁰ You will follow what is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which Jehovah your God gives you.

³ And the sons of Israel cried to Jehovah, for he had nine hundred chariots of iron and he mightily oppressed the sons of Israel twenty years.

³ Here I am. Witness against me before Jehovah and before his anointed: Whose ox have I taken? Or whose donkey have I taken? Or whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed? Or of whose hand have I taken a bribe to blind my eyes with it? And I will restore it to you*.
⁴ And they said, You have not defrauded us, nor oppressed us, neither have you taken anything of any man's hand.

¹⁰ Then Asa was angry with the seer and put him in the prison-house. For he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people at the same time.

³⁶ Behold, we are servants this day and as for the land that you gave to our fathers to eat the fruit of it and the good of it, behold, we are servants in it. ³⁷ And it yields much increase to the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins. Also they have power over our bodies and over our cattle, at their pleasure and we are in great distress.

¹⁹ For he has oppressed and forsaken the poor. He has violently taken away a house and he will not build it up. ²⁰ Because he knew no quietness within him, he will not save any of that in which he delights.

¹⁸ to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more terrify.

³¹ He who oppresses a poor man reproaches his maker, but he who has mercy on a needy man honors him.

¹³ He who stops his ears at the cry of a poor man, he will also cry, but will not be heard.

¹⁶ He who oppresses a poor man to his increase and he who gives to a rich man, comes only to want.

³ A needy man who oppresses the poor is a sweeping rain which leaves no food.

⁸ He who multiplies his substance by interest and increase, gathers it for him who has pity on the poor.

¹⁶ The ruler who lacks understanding is also a great oppressor, but he who hates covetousness will prolong his days.

⁸ If you see the oppression of a poor man and the violent robbery of justice and righteousness in a province, marvel not at the matter. Because a man higher than the high is observing and there are higher men than they.

¹⁷ Learn to do good. Seek justice, make the oppressed fortunate, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

¹² As for my people, children are their oppressors and women rule over them. O my people, those who advance you, are making you go-astray and destroy the way of your paths.
¹³ Jehovah stands up to contend and stands to judge the peoples. ¹⁴ Jehovah will enter into judgment with the elders of his people and the rulers of it. It is you* who have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of a poor man is in your* houses. ¹⁵ What do you* mean that you* crush my people and grind the face of the poor? says the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.

⁷ For the vineyard of Jehovah of hosts is the house of Israel and the men of Judah his pleasant plant. And he looked for justice, but, behold, oppression, for righteousness, but, behold, a cry.

¹⁵ He who walks righteously and speaks in uprightness. He who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes away his hands from taking a bribe, who stops his ears from hearing of blood and shuts his eyes from looking upon evil.

⁶ Is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke and to let the oppressed go free and that you* break every yoke?

¹⁷ But your eyes and your heart are not but for your covetousness and for shedding innocent blood and for oppression and for violence, to do it.

⁷ In you they have made light of father and mother. In the midst of you they have dealt with the traveler by oppression. In you they have wronged the fatherless and the widow.

¹² In you they have taken bribes to shed blood. You have taken interest and increase. And you have greedily gained from your neighbors by oppression and have forgotten me, says the lord Jehovah.
¹³ Behold, therefore, I have struck my hand at your dishonest gain which you have made and at your blood which has been in the midst of you.

¹¹ Inasmuch therefore as you* trample upon the poor and take exactions of wheat from him. You* have built houses of hewn stone, but you* will not dwell in them. You* have planted pleasant vineyards, but you* will not drink the wine of it.
¹² For I know how great are your* transgressions and how mighty are your* sins–you* who afflict the just man, who take a bribe and who turn aside the needy in the gate.

⁴ Hear this, O you* who would swallow up a needy man and cause the poor of the land to fail, ⁵ saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small and the shekel great and dealing falsely with balances of deceit, ⁶ that we may buy the poor for silver and a needy man for a pair of shoes and sell the refuse of the wheat?
⁷ Jehovah has sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.

² And they desire fields and seize them and houses and take them away. And they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.
³ Therefore Jehovah says thus: Behold, I devise an evil against this family, from which you* will not remove your* necks, nor will you* walk haughtily, for it is an evil time.

¹⁰ Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked and a scant measure that is indignant? ¹¹ Shall I be pure with wicked balances and with a bag of deceitful weights? ¹² For the rich men of it are full of violence and the inhabitants of it have spoken lies and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

³ Their hands are upon what is evil to do it diligently. The ruler asks and the judge asks for a bribe. And the great man, he utters the evil desire of his soul. Thus they weave it together.

¹⁴ But the active soldiers were also asking him, saying, And we, what shall we do?
And he said to them, Intimidate no one, nor cheat anyone, and be content with your rations.

⁸ But instead you yourselves do wrong and defraud, and you^\'b0 do these things to brethren.

¹ Come now you rich, weep, howling in your miseries, in those which are coming upon you. ² Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth-eaten. ³ Your gold and silver have tarnished, and their tarnish will be for a testimony against you and will be eating your flesh like fire. You have stored up treasure in your^\'b0 last days. ⁴ Behold, the wages of the workers who mowed your farmlands, the wages which have been defrauded by you, are crying out against you and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Hosts. ⁵ You have caroused upon the land and are self-indulgent; you have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.

¹⁸ But if he sanctifies his field after the jubilee, then the priest will reckon to him the money according to the years that remain to the year of jubilee and an abatement will be made from your estimation.
¹⁹ And if he who made the field holy will indeed redeem it, then he will add the fifth part of the money of your estimation to it and it will be assured to him. ²⁰ And if he will not redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it will not be redeemed any more, ²¹ but the field, when it goes out in the jubilee, will be holy to Jehovah, as a field set apart; the possession of it will be the priest's.
²² And if he sanctifies to Jehovah a field which he has bought, which is not of the field of his possession, ²³ then the priest will reckon to him the worth of your estimation to the year of jubilee and he will give your estimation in that day, as a holy thing to Jehovah.

⁵ Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is near.

²⁷ then let him reckon the years of the sale of it and restore the excess to the man to whom he sold it and he will return to his possession.

⁵¹ If there is yet many years, according to them he will give back the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.

¹¹ And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place and they will kill me because of my wife.

¹² And he said, Do not lay your hand upon the lad, neither do you anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.

⁹ He is not greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?

¹⁸ And Joseph said to them the third day, Do this and live, because I fear God.

²⁰ And Moses said to the people, Do not fear, because God has come to prove you* and that his fear may be before you*, that you* not sin.

¹⁴ You will not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind, but you will fear your God. I am Jehovah.

³² You will rise up before the hoary head and honor the face of the old man and you will fear your God. I am Jehovah.

¹⁴ And if you sell anything to your neighbor, or buy of your neighbor's hand, you* will not wrong each other.

⁴³ You will not rule over him with rigor, but will fear your God.

¹⁸ how he met you by the way and killed* the hindmost of you, all who were feeble behind you, when you were faint and weary and he did not fear God.

²⁴ Only fear Jehovah and serve him in truth with all your* heart, for consider what great things he has done for you*.

⁷ Now therefore let the fear of Jehovah be upon you*. Take heed and do it. For there is no unrighteousness with Jehovah our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.

⁹ Also I said, The thing that you* do is not good. Ought you* not to walk in the fear of our God, because of the reproach of the nations our enemies?

¹⁵ But the former governors who were before me charged the people and took bread and wine from them, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people. But I did not so, because of the fear of God.

⁹ The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring forever. The ordinances of Jehovah are true and righteous altogether.

⁷ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge. The foolish despise wisdom and instruction.

²² Do not rob a poor man, because he is poor, nor oppress an afflicted man in the gate.

⁵ For if you* thoroughly amend your* ways and your* practices, if you* thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor, ⁶ if you* do not oppress the traveler, the fatherless and the widow and shed not innocent blood in this place, nor walk after other gods to your* own hurt,

¹⁶ He judged the cause of the poor and needy man, then it was well. Was not this to know me? says Jehovah.

⁵ And I will come near to you* to judgment and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers and against the adulterers and against the false swearers and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow and the fatherless and who turn aside the traveler and do not fear me, says Jehovah of hosts.

⁵ But I will be showing you whom you should fear. Fear him, who after he has killed you, has authority to cast you into hell. Yes, I say to you, Fear him.

³¹ Therefore indeed, all the congregations throughout the whole of Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace. They were being multiplied, being built up, and having conducted-themselves in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

² a devout man, who feared God together with all his house and doing much charity for the people and always beseeching God.

³⁵ but in every nation, he who fears him and is working righteousness, is acceptable to him.

¹⁸ ‘There is no fear of God in front of their eyes.’

²⁰ Well; they were broken off in their unbelief but you are standing in the faith. Do not be cavalier, but fear;

⁶ and not to go beyond limits and takes-advantage of his brother in the matter, because the Lord is an avenger concerning all these things, just-as we have also spoken to you beforehand and thoroughly testified.

³⁷ And you* will observe all my statutes and all my ordinances and do them. I am Jehovah.

³ If you* walk in my statutes and keep my commandments and do them, ⁴ then I will give your* rains in their season and the land will yield its increase and the trees of the field will yield their fruit. ⁵ And your* threshing will reach to the vintage and the vintage will reach to the sowing time and you* will eat your* bread to the full and dwell in your* land safely.
⁶ And I will give peace in the land and you* will lie down and none will make you* afraid. And I will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land, nor will the sword go through your* land. ⁷ And you* will chase your* enemies and they will fall before you* by the sword. ⁸ And five of you* will chase a hundred and a hundred of you* will chase ten thousand and your* enemies will fall before you* by the sword.
⁹ And I will have respect to you* and make you* fruitful and multiply you* and will establish my covenant with you*. ¹⁰ And you* will eat old storage long kept and you* will bring forth the old because of the new.
¹¹ And I will set my tabernacle among you* and my soul will not abhor you*. ¹² And I will walk among you* and will be your* God and you* will be my people.

¹⁰ But when you* go over the Jordan and dwell in the land which Jehovah your* God causes you* to inherit and he gives you* rest from all your* enemies all around, so that you* dwell in safety,

¹ And it will happen, if you will listen diligently to the voice of Jehovah your God, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that Jehovah your God will set you on high above all the nations of the earth, ² and all these blessings will come upon you and overtake you, if you will listen to the voice of Jehovah your God:
³ You will be blessed in the city and you will be blessed in the field. ⁴ The fruit of your body will be blessed and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock. ⁵ Your basket and your kneading-trough will be blessed. ⁶ You will be blessed when you come in and you will be blessed when you go out.
⁷ Jehovah will cause your enemies that rise up against you to be struck before you. They will come out against you one way and will flee before you seven ways. ⁸ Jehovah will command the blessing upon you in your barns and in all that you put your hand to. And he will bless you in the land which Jehovah your God gives you.
⁹ Jehovah will establish you for a holy people to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you will keep the commandments of Jehovah your God and walk in his ways. ¹⁰ And all the peoples of the earth will see that you are called by the name of Jehovah and they will be afraid of you.
¹¹ And Jehovah will make you plenteous for good, in the fruit of your body and in the fruit of your cattle and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which Jehovah swore to your fathers to give you.
¹² Jehovah will open to you his good treasure the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand. And you will lend to many nations and you will not borrow.
¹³ And Jehovah will make you the head and not the tail. And you will only be above and you will not be beneath, if you will listen to the commandments of Jehovah your God, which I command you this day, to observe and to do, ¹⁴ and will not turn aside from any of the words which I command you* this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

¹² Of Benjamin he said, The beloved of Jehovah will dwell in safety by him. He covers him all the day long and he dwells between his shoulders.

²⁸ And Israel dwells in safety, the fountain of Jacob alone, in a land of grain and new wine. Yes, his heavens drop down dew.

⁸ I will both lie down and sleep in peace, because you, Jehovah, alone make me dwell in safety.

¹⁸ to such as keep his covenant and to those who remember his precepts to do them.

³³ But he who listens to me will dwell securely and will be quiet without fear of evil.

³ Jehovah of hosts says thus, the God of Israel: Amend your* ways and your* practices and I will cause you* to dwell in this place. ⁴ Do not trust in lying words, saying, The temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, are these.
⁵ For if you* thoroughly amend your* ways and your* practices, if you* thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor, ⁶ if you* do not oppress the traveler, the fatherless and the widow and shed not innocent blood in this place, nor walk after other gods to your* own hurt, ⁷ then I will cause you* to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your* fathers from of old to everlasting.

⁶ In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell safely. And this is his name by which he will be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

⁵ saying, Return now each one from his evil way and from the evil of your* practices and dwell in the land that Jehovah has given to you* and to your* fathers, from everlasting even to everlasting.

¹⁶ In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell safely. And this is the name whereby she will be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

²⁴ Son of man, those who inhabit those waste places in the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one and he inherited the land, but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance
²⁵ Therefore say to them, The lord Jehovah says thus: You* eat with the blood and lift up your* eyes to your* idols and shed blood. And will you* possess the land? ²⁶ You* stand upon your* sword, you* work abomination and you* defile every man his neighbor's wife. And will you* possess the land?

²⁹ Then they will know that I am Jehovah when I have made the land a desolation and an astonishment, because of all their abominations which they have committed.

²⁵ And I will make a covenant of peace with them and will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land and they will dwell securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. ²⁶ And I will make them and the places all around my hill a blessing and I will cause the shower to come down in its season; there will be showers of blessing.
²⁷ And the tree of the field will yield its fruit and the earth will yield its increase and they will be secure in their land. And they will know that I am Jehovah when I have broken the bars of their yoke and have delivered them out of the hand of those who made bondmen of them.
²⁸ And they will no more be a prey to the nations, nor will the beasts of the earth devour them, but they will dwell securely and none will make them afraid.

²⁴ For I will take you* from among the nations and gather you* out of all the countries and will bring you* into your* own land. ²⁵ And I will sprinkle clean water upon you* and you* will be clean. I will cleanse you* from all your* filthiness and from all your* idols.
²⁶ I will also give you* a new heart and I will put a new spirit within you*. And I will take away the stony heart out of your* flesh and I will give you* a heart of flesh. ²⁷ And I will put my Spirit within you* and cause you* to walk in my statutes and you* will keep my ordinances and do them.
²⁸ And you* will dwell in the land that I gave to your* fathers and you* will be my people and I will be your* God.

⁵ And your* threshing will reach to the vintage and the vintage will reach to the sowing time and you* will eat your* bread to the full and dwell in your* land safely.

⁶ The earth has yielded its increase. God, even our own God, will bless us.

¹² Yes, Jehovah will give what is good and our land will yield its increase.

²³ And he will give the rain for your seed, with which you will sow the ground and bread of the increase of the ground and it will be fat and plenteous. In that day your cattle will feed in large pastures.

²¹ And they will build houses and inhabit them. And they will plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them. ²² They will not build and another inhabit. They will not plant and another eat. For as the days of a tree will be the days of my people and my chosen will long enjoy the work of their hands.

³⁰ And I will multiply the fruit of the tree and the increase of the field, that you* may no more receive the reproach of famine among the nations.

²⁴ And the floors will be full of wheat and the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.

²⁶ And you* will eat in plenty and be satisfied. And will praise the name of Jehovah your* God, who has dealt wondrously with you*. And my people will never be put to shame.

⁴ but in the seventh year will be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to Jehovah. You will neither sow your field, nor prune your vineyard.

⁴ And the mixed multitude that was among them lusted exceedingly. And the sons of Israel also wept again and said, Who will give us flesh to eat?

¹³ From where should I have flesh to give to all this people? For they weep to me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.

¹⁵ And when the servant of the man of God was risen early and gone forth, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And his servant said to him, Alas, my master! What will we do? ¹⁶ And he answered, Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.
¹⁷ And Elisha prayed and said, Jehovah, I beseech you, open his eyes that he may see. And Jehovah opened the eyes of the young man and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

² Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, Behold, if Jehovah should make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, you will see it with your eyes, but will not eat of it.

⁹ And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what will we do for the hundred talants which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, Jehovah is able to give you much more than this.

¹⁹ Yes, they spoke against God. They said, Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?
²⁰ Behold, he killed* the rock, so that waters gushed out and streams overflowed. Can he give bread also? Will he provide meat for his people?

² Hear, O heavens and listen, O earth, for Jehovah has spoken. I have nourished and brought up sons and they have rebelled against me.

²⁵ Because of this, I am saying to you, Do not be anxious for your life, what you may eat and what you may drink; nor for what you may clothe your body with. Is not the life worth more-than the nourishment and the body worth more-than the clothing? ²⁶ Look at the birds of the heaven, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into barns, and your heavenly Father is nourishing them. Are you not carrying much more-value than them? ²⁷ Now which one out of you is able to add one cubit upon his stature by being anxious? ²⁸ And why are you anxious concerning clothing? Learn from the lilies of the field, somehow they are growing; they are not laboring, nor spinning. ²⁹ Yet I say to you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. ³⁰ But if God so dresses-up the grass of the field, which is here today and the next-day is cast into the oven, will he not much more clothe you? You of small faith!
³¹ Therefore do^\'b0 not be anxious, saying, What should we eat? or, What should we drink? or, What should we dress ourselves with? ³² For the Gentiles are seeking after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you have needs of all these things. ³³ But first seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. ³⁴ Therefore do not be anxious for the next-day; for the next-day will be anxious enough for the things of itself. Its evil is enough for the one day.

²⁶ And he says to them, Why are you cowardly? You of small faith! Then he arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there became a great calm.

²⁹ And do not seek what you might eat or what you might drink, and do not be in anxious suspense.

⁶ Be anxious in nothing, but in everything, let your requests be made known to God by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving.

⁵ In the manner of life, not being a money-lover, be content with the things which are present; for he himself has said, I may never be lax concerning you, nor should I ever forsake you. ⁶ So-that we, being courageous, may say, The Lord is my helper and I will not be fearing. What will man be doing for me?

¹² And Isaac sowed in that land and found a hundredfold in the same year. And Jehovah blessed him.

⁴⁷ And the earth brought out by handfuls in the seven plenteous years.

²⁹ See, because Jehovah has given you* the Sabbath, therefore he gives you* on the sixth day the bread of two days. Abide every man in his place. Let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

⁸ And you will number seven Sabbaths of years to you, seven times seven years and there will be to you the days of seven Sabbaths of years, even forty-nine years. ⁹ Then you will send abroad the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. In the day of atonement you* will send abroad the trumpet throughout all your* land. ¹⁰ And you* will sanctify the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all the inhabitants of it. It will be a jubilee to you* and you* will return every man to his possession and you* will return every man to his family.
¹¹ That fiftieth year will be a jubilee to you*. You* will not sow, neither reap what grows of itself in it, nor gather in it of the undressed vines.

³ You will be blessed in the city and you will be blessed in the field.

⁸ Jehovah will command the blessing upon you in your barns and in all that you put your hand to. And he will bless you in the land which Jehovah your God gives you.

³ like the dew of Hermon, that comes down upon the mountains of Zion. Because there Jehovah commanded the blessing, even life everlasting.

²² The blessing of Jehovah, it makes rich and he adds no sorrow with it.

¹⁰ Now he who is supplying seed to the sower and bread for food, may supply and may multiply your seed and may cause the growth of the fruits of your righteousness.

¹⁰ And you* will eat old storage long kept and you* will bring forth the old because of the new.

¹¹ And they ate of the produce of the land on the morrow after the Passover, unleavened cakes and parched grain, in the same day. ¹² And the manna ceased on the morrow, after they had eaten of the produce of the land. Neither had the sons of Israel manna any more, but they ate of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.

⁴ I am a stranger and a traveler with you*. Give me a burial possession with you*, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.

⁹ And Jacob said to Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty years. Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life and they have not attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.

⁵ Now therefore, if you* will obey my voice indeed and keep my covenant, then you* will be my own possession from among all peoples, for all the earth is mine,

⁴³ Rejoice, O you* Gentiles, with his people. For he will avenge the blood of his servants and will render vengeance to his adversaries and will recompense those who hate him and will make expiation for his land, for his people.

³ And Naboth said to Ahab, Jehovah forbid it of me that I should give the inheritance of my fathers to you.

¹⁵ For we are strangers before you and travelers, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are as a shadow and there is no abiding.

²⁰ then I will pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them. And this house, which I have made holy for my name, I will cast out of my sight and I will make it a proverb and a parable among all peoples.

¹ The earth is Jehovah's and the fullness of it, the world and those who dwell in it.

¹² Hear my prayer, O Jehovah and listen to my cry. Do not keep silent at my tears, because I am a stranger with you, a traveler, as all my fathers were.

¹ Jehovah, you have been favorable to your land. You have brought back the captivity of Jacob.

¹⁹ I am a traveler in the earth. Do not hide your commandments from me.

¹⁴ And they will sell none of it, nor exchange it, nor will the first-fruits of the land be alienated, for it is holy to Jehovah.

³ They will not dwell in Jehovah's land, but Ephraim will return to Egypt and they will eat unclean food in Assyria.

¹⁸ Then Jehovah was jealous for his land and had pity on his people.

² I will gather all nations and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will execute judgment upon them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations. And they have parted my land,

⁹ In faith, he sojourned in the land of promise, as an alien, having dwelt in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the joint heirs of the same promise. ¹⁰ For he was waiting for the city which has the foundations, whose craftsman and contractor is God. ¹¹ In faith, even Sarah herself received power to conceive seed and bore a son contrary to the time of her fertile age, since she deemed him faithful who had promised. ¹² And hence these were fathered from one sterile man, just-as the stars of heaven in a multitude and as innumerable as the sand beside the sea shore. \ulnone\nosupersub ¹³ These all died according to faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and having greeted them from farther out and having confessed that they are strangers and travelers upon the earth.

¹¹ Beloved, I am encouraging you, as foreigners and travelers, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which are warring against the soul;

³¹ But the houses of the villages which have no wall all around them will be reckoned with the fields of the country. They may be redeemed and they will go out in the jubilee.

⁵¹ If there is yet many years, according to them he will give back the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for. ⁵² And if there remain but few years to the year of jubilee, then he will reckon with him. He will give back the price of his redemption according to his years. ⁵³ He will be with him as a servant hired year by year. He will not rule with rigor over him in your sight.

²³ But not only they, but we ourselves also who have the first-fruit of the Spirit, even we ourselves are groaning in ourselves, waiting for our sonship, that is, the redemption of our body.

³⁰ But you are from him, in Christ Jesus, who has become to us wisdom and righteousness and holiness and redemption from God;

⁷ in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses according to the riches of his grace.

¹⁴ which is a down-payment of our inheritance, to the redemption of the ownership of God to the praise of his glory.

³⁰ And do not make the Holy Spirit of God sorrowful, in whom you were sealed to the day of redemption.

²⁰ And Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, He of Jehovah is blessed who has not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said to her, The man is near of kin to us, one of our near kinsmen.

² And now is not Boaz our kinsman, with whose maidens you were? Behold, he winnows barley tonight in the threshing-floor.

⁹ And he said, Who are you? And she answered, I am Ruth your handmaid. Therefore spread your skirt over your handmaid, for you are a near kinsman.

¹² And now it is true that I am a near kinsman. However there is a kinsman nearer than I.

⁴ And I thought to disclose it to you, saying, Buy it before those who sit here and before the elders of my people. If you will redeem it, redeem it, but if you will not redeem it, then tell me that I may know, for there is none to redeem it besides you and I am after you. And he said, I will redeem it. ⁵ Then Boaz said, That day you buy the field of the hand of Naomi, you must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance. ⁶ And the near kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself lest I mar my own inheritance. You take my right of redemption on you, for I cannot redeem it.

⁷ Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle will come to you, saying, Buy my field that is in Anathoth. For the right of redemption is your to buy it.
⁸ So Hanamel my uncle's son came to me in the court of the guard according to the word of Jehovah and said to me, I beseech you, buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin. For the right of inheritance is your and the redemption is your. Buy it for yourself. Then I knew that this was the word of Jehovah.

⁹ For you know the favor of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet he became-poor because of you, in order that you might be enriched through that poverty.

¹³ And again, ‘I will have confidence in him.’And again, ‘Behold, here I am and the children whom God has given me.’ ¹⁴ Therefore since the children have shared of flesh and blood, in like-manner he partook of the same; in order that through death, he might do-away-with the one who had the dominion of death, this is the devil;

⁹ And they are singing a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, because you were slaughtered and bought us in your blood for God out of every tribe and language and people and nation.

⁷ And if his means is not sufficient for a lamb, then he will bring his trespass offering for that by which he has sinned, two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, to Jehovah, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.

⁹ No lion will be there, nor will any ravenous beast go up in it. They will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there.
¹⁰ And the ransomed of Jehovah will return and come with singing to Zion. And everlasting joy will be upon their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy. And sorrow and sighing will flee away.

¹⁵ For Jehovah of hosts says thus, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards will yet again be bought in this land.

⁵² in the briefest moment, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the last trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised up incorruptible and we will be changed. ⁵³ For it is essential this corruptible body to be clothed with incorruption and this mortal body to be clothed with immortality. ⁵⁴ But whenever this corruptible body has been clothed with incorruption and whenever this mortal has been clothed with immortality, then the word that has been written will become so, Death is swallowed up in victory.

¹³ But brethren, we do not wish you to be ignorant concerning those who have fallen-asleep; in order that you may not be sorrowful like the rest who have no hope. ¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose up again, so those who have fallen-asleep through Jesus, God will also be bringing together with him. ¹⁵ For this we are saying to you in the word of the Lord, that we, the living, who are left at the presence of the Lord, may never attain heaven before those who have fallen-asleep. ¹⁶ Because the Lord himself will be coming down from heaven, in a commanding yell, in the voice of the archangel and at the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be rising up first; ¹⁷ thereafter we, the living, who are left, will be taken away at the same time together with them in the clouds, to the encounter of the Lord in the air, and so we will always be together with the Lord. ¹⁸ So-then, encourage one another in these words.

⁴ into an incorruptible, undefiled and unfading inheritance having been guarded in the heavens for you; ⁵ who are kept through faith in the power of God, into a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

⁷ none can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him ⁸ (for the redemption of their life is costly and it fails everlasting),

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying, ² Command the sons of Israel, that they give from the inheritance of their possession to the Levites cities to dwell in. And you* will give suburbs for the cities all around them to the Levites. ³ And they will have the cities to dwell in and their suburbs will be for their cattle and for their substance and for all their beasts. ⁴ And the suburbs of the cities, which you* will give to the Levites, will be from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits all around. ⁵ And you* will measure outside the city for the east side two thousand cubits and for the south side two thousand cubits and for the west side two thousand cubits and for the north side two thousand cubits, the city being in the midst. This will be to them the suburbs of the cities. ⁶ And of the cities which you* will give to the Levites, there will be the six cities of refuge, which you* will give for the manslayer to flee to. And besides them you* will give forty-two cities. ⁷ All the cities which you* will give to the Levites will be forty-eight cities, them with their suburbs. ⁸ And concerning the cities which you* will give of the possession of the sons of Israel, from the many you* will take many and from the few you* will take few. Everyone according to his inheritance which he inherits will give of his cities to the Levites.

¹ Then the heads of fathers of the Levites came near to Eleazar the priest and to Joshua the son of Nun and to the heads of fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel. ² And they spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, Jehovah commanded Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs of it for our cattle. ³ And the sons of Israel gave to the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of Jehovah, these cities with their suburbs:
⁴ And the lot came out for the Kohathite families. And the sons of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah and out of the tribe of the Simeonites and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities. ⁵ And the rest of the sons of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim and out of the tribe of Dan and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
⁶ And the sons of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar and out of the tribe of Asher and out of the tribe of Naphtali and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
⁷ The sons of Merari according to their families had out of the tribe of Reuben and out of the tribe of Gad and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
⁸ And the sons of Israel gave these cities by lot to the Levites with their suburbs, as Jehovah commanded by Moses.
⁹ And they gave out of the tribe of the sons of Judah and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name, ¹⁰ and they were for the sons of Aaron, of the Kohathite families, who were of the sons of Levi, for theirs was the first lot. ¹¹ And they gave them Kiriath-arba, Arba was the father of Anak (what is Hebron), in the hill-country of Judah, with the suburbs of it all around it.
¹² But the fields of the city and the villages of it, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.
¹³ And to the sons of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer and Libnah with its suburbs, ¹⁴ and Jattir with its suburbs and Eshtemoa with its suburbs, ¹⁵ and Holon with its suburbs and Debir with its suburbs, ¹⁶ and Ain with its suburbs and Juttah with its suburbs, and Beth-shemesh with its suburbs; nine cities out of those two tribes.
¹⁷ And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its suburbs, Geba with its suburbs, ¹⁸ Anathoth with its suburbs and Almon with its suburbs; four cities.
¹⁹ All the cities of the sons of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their suburbs.
²⁰ And the families of the sons of Kohath, the Levites, even the rest of the sons of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim. ²¹ And they gave them Shechem with its suburbs in the hill-country of Ephraim, the city of refuge for the manslayer and Gezer with its suburbs, ²² and Kibzaim with its suburbs and Beth-horon with its suburbs; four cities.
²³ And out of the tribe of Dan, Elteke with its suburbs, Gibbethon with its suburbs, ²⁴ Aijalon with its suburbs, Gath-rimmon with its suburbs; four cities.
²⁵ And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with its suburbs and Gath-rimmon with its suburbs; two cities.
²⁶ All the cities of the families of the rest of the sons of Kohath were ten with their suburbs.
²⁷ And to the sons of Gershon, of the Levite families, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer and Beeshterah with its suburbs; two cities.
²⁸ And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with its suburbs, Daberath with its suburbs, ²⁹ Jarmuth with its suburbs, En-gannim with its suburbs; four cities.
³⁰ And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its suburbs, Abdon with its suburbs, ³¹ Helkath with its suburbs and Rehob with its suburbs; four cities.
³² And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer and Hammoth-dor with its suburbs and Kartan with its suburbs; three cities.
³³ All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with their suburbs.
³⁴ And to the families of the sons of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with its suburbs and Kartah with its suburbs, ³⁵ Dimnah with its suburbs, Nahalal with its suburbs; four cities.
³⁶ And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with its suburbs and Jahaz with its suburbs, ³⁷ Kedemoth with its suburbs and Mephaath with its suburbs; four cities.
³⁸ And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer and Mahanaim with its suburbs, ³⁹ Heshbon with its suburbs, Jazer with its suburbs; four cities in all.
⁴⁰ All these were the cities of the sons of Merari according to their families, even the rest of the Levite families; and their lot was twelve cities.
⁴¹ All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the sons of Israel were forty-eight cities with their suburbs. ⁴² These cities were every one with their suburbs all around them. Thus it was with all these cities.
⁴³ So Jehovah gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give to their fathers and they possessed it and dwelt in it. ⁴⁴ And Jehovah gave them rest all around, according to all that he swore to their fathers. And there stood not a man of all their enemies before them. Jehovah delivered all their enemies into their hand. ⁴⁵ There failed not anything of any good thing which Jehovah had spoken to the house of Israel; all happened.

²⁰ And Jehovah said to Aaron, You will have no inheritance in their land, neither will you have any portion among them. I am your portion and your inheritance among the sons of Israel. ²¹ And to the sons of Levi, behold, I have given all the tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service which they serve, even the service of the tent of meeting.
²² And hereafter the sons of Israel will not come near the tent of meeting, lest they bear sin and die. ²³ But the Levites will do the service of the tent of meeting and they will bear their iniquity. It will be an everlasting statute throughout your* genealogy. And among the sons of Israel they will have no inheritance.
²⁴ For the tithe of the sons of Israel, which they offer as a heave offering to Jehovah, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance. Therefore I have said to them, Among the sons of Israel they will have no inheritance.

¹ The priests the Levites, even all the tribe of Levi, will have no portion nor inheritance with Israel. They will eat the offerings of Jehovah made by fire and his inheritance. ² And they will have no inheritance among their brothers. Jehovah is their inheritance as he has spoken to them.

²³ And the land will not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine. For you* are strangers and travelers with me.

² Command the sons of Israel, that they give from the inheritance of their possession to the Levites cities to dwell in. And you* will give suburbs for the cities all around them to the Levites. ³ And they will have the cities to dwell in and their suburbs will be for their cattle and for their substance and for all their beasts. ⁴ And the suburbs of the cities, which you* will give to the Levites, will be from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits all around. ⁵ And you* will measure outside the city for the east side two thousand cubits and for the south side two thousand cubits and for the west side two thousand cubits and for the north side two thousand cubits, the city being in the midst. This will be to them the suburbs of the cities.

³⁶ Now Joses, who was surnamed Barnabas from the apostles, (which is, being translated, Son of Encouragement), a Levite from Cyprus by birth, ³⁷ sold a field, possessed by him, and brought the monies and laid it beside the apostles’feet.

⁹ And you will not oppress a traveler, for you* know the heart of a traveler, because you* were travelers in the land of Egypt.

³⁴ The stranger that travels with you* will be to you* as the home-born among you* and you will love him as yourself, for you* were travelers in the land of Egypt. I am Jehovah your* God.

²⁵ If your brother becomes poor and sells some of his possession, then his kinsman who is next to him will come and will redeem what his brother has sold.

¹⁸ He executes justice for the fatherless and widow and loves the traveler in giving him food and garments. ¹⁹ Love therefore the traveler, for you* were travelers in the land of Egypt.

⁷ If there is with you a poor man, one of your brothers, within any of your gates in your land which Jehovah your God gives you, you will not harden your heart, nor shut your hand from your poor brother, ⁸ but you will surely open your hand to him and will surely lend him sufficient for his need which he wants.

¹⁴ You will not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is of your brothers, or of your travelers that are in your land within your gates. ¹⁵ You will give him his hire in his day, neither will the sun go down upon it, for he is poor and sets his heart upon it, lest he cry against you to Jehovah and it is sin to you.

²⁶ All the day long he deals graciously and lends and his seed is blessed.

¹ He who considers a poor man is fortunate. Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil.

⁵ It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends. He will maintain his cause in judgment,

⁹ He has scattered, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor.

²⁰ The poor man is hated even by his own neighbor, but the rich man has many friends.
²¹ He who despises his neighbor sins, but he who has pity on the poor, he is fortunate.

⁵ He who mocks a poor man reproaches his maker. He who is glad at calamity will not be unpunished.

¹⁷ He who has pity upon a poor man lends to Jehovah and he will repay him his good deed.

³⁵ for I was hungry and you gave me food to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me a drink; I was a stranger and you led me in;

⁷ For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you wish, you are able to do them good, but you do not always have me.

³⁵ However, love^*\'b0 your enemies and do good things for them and lend, hoping for nothing again. And your reward will be much, and you will be sons of the Highest, because he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

⁸ For the poor you always have with you, but you do not always have me.

²⁹ Now the disciples, according to what was anyone’s prosperity, each of them determined to send a service of relief to the brethren dwelling in Judea;

¹³ sharing in the needs of the holy-ones; pursuing your hospitality.

¹⁸ If possible, what is from you should be at peace with all men.

²⁰ Therefore, if your enemy hungers, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for while doing this, you will be piling up hot-coals of fire upon his head.

¹ For indeed, concerning the relief service for the holy-ones, it is superfluous for me to write to you :

¹² Because the service of this ministry not only is replenishing the things lacking of the holy-ones, but is also abounding through many thanksgivings to God; ¹³ because through the trial of you from this service they are glorifying God upon the subjection of your confession toward the good-news of the Christ and at the liberality of your generosity toward them and toward all; ¹⁴ and in their supplication on your behalf, a longing-for you because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. ¹⁵ But gratitude is to God for his indescribable gift.

¹⁰ adding only that we should remember the poor; which I was diligent also to do this same thing.

² Do not forget hospitality; for through this, some lodged messengers, being eluded.

⁵ Listen, my beloved brethren. Did God not choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to those who love him? ⁶ But you have dishonored the poor. Are the rich not oppressing you? And are they themselves not dragging you into the courts?

¹⁷ But whoever has the world’s good life and should view his brother having need and then should lock his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

²⁵ If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you will not be to him as a creditor, neither will you* lay upon him interest.

¹⁹ You will not lend upon interest to your brother: interest of money, interest of food, interest of anything that is lent upon interest. ²⁰ To a foreigner you may lend upon interest, but to your brother you will not lend upon interest, that Jehovah your God may bless you in all that you put your hand to, in the land where you go in to possess it.

⁷ Then I consulted with myself and contended with the ranking men and the rulers and said to them, You* exact usury, everyone of his brother. And I held a great assembly against them. ⁸ And I said to them, According to our ability we have redeemed our brothers the Jews, who were sold to the nations and would you* even sell your* brothers and should they be sold to us? Then they were silent and found not a word.
⁹ Also I said, The thing that you* do is not good. Ought you* not to walk in the fear of our God, because of the reproach of the nations our enemies? ¹⁰ And I likewise, my brothers and my servants, lend them money and grain. I beseech you*, let us leave off this usury.

⁵ he who puts not his money out to interest, nor takes a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things will not be shaken everlasting.

⁸ he who has not given forth upon interest, nor has taken any increase, who has withdrawn his hand from unrighteousness, has executed true justice between man and man,

¹³ has given forth upon interest and has taken increase, will he then live? He will not live. He has done all these abominations. He will surely die. His blood will be upon him.

¹⁷ who has withdrawn his hand from a poor man, who has not received interest nor increase, has executed my ordinances, has walked in my statutes, he will not die for the iniquity of his father. He will surely live.

¹² In you they have taken bribes to shed blood. You have taken interest and increase. And you have greedily gained from your neighbors by oppression and have forgotten me, says the lord Jehovah.

⁷ And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your seed after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your seed after you.

⁴⁵ For I am Jehovah who brought you* up out of the land of Egypt, to be your* God. You* will therefore be holy, for I am holy.

³² And you* will not profane my holy name, but I will be made holy among the sons of Israel. I am Jehovah who sanctifies you*, ³³ who brought you* out of the land of Egypt, to be your* God. I am Jehovah.

⁴¹ I am Jehovah your* God, who brought you* out of the land of Egypt, to be your* God. I am Jehovah your* God.

¹ At that time, says Jehovah, I will be the God of all the families of Israel and they will be my people.

³³ But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Jehovah: I will give my laws into their mind and I will write them on their hearts. And I will be their God and they will be my people.

³⁸ And they will be my people and I will be their God.

¹⁶ But now they are aspiring for themselves to a better region, this thing is a heavenly one. Hence God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God; for he has prepared a city for them.

¹⁴ And they made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and in brick and in all manner of service in the field, all their service, with which they made them serve with rigor.

² If you buy a Hebrew servant, six years he will serve and in the seventh he will go out free for nothing.

³ If the sun has risen upon him, there will be blood-guilt for him. A thief will make restitution. If he has nothing, then he will be sold for his theft.

⁴⁶ And you* will make them an inheritance for your* sons after you*, to hold for a possession. You* will take your* everlasting bondmen from them, but over your* brothers the sons of Israel you* will not rule, one over another, with rigor.

¹² If your brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, is sold to you and serves you six years, then in the seventh year you will let him go free from you. ¹³ And when you let him go free from you, you will not let him go empty. ¹⁴ You will furnish him liberally out of your flock and out of your threshing-floor and out of your winepress. As Jehovah your God has blessed you, you will give to him.

²² But of the sons of Israel Solomon made no bondservants, but they were the men of war and his servants and his rulers and his captains and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.

¹ Now a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, Your servant my husband is dead and you know that your servant feared Jehovah and the creditor has come to take my two children to him to be bondmen.

⁵ Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brothers, our sons as their sons. And behold, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants and some of our daughters are brought into bondage already. Neither is it in our power to help it, for other men have our fields and our vineyards.

¹⁴ For many nations and great kings will make bondmen of them, even of them and I will recompense them according to their deeds and according to the work of their hands.

⁷ And all the nations will serve him and his son and his son's son, until the time of his own land comes. And then many nations and great kings will make him their bondman.

⁸ And it will happen in that day, says Jehovah of hosts, that I will break his yoke from your neck and will burst your bonds. And strangers will no more make him their bondman,

¹⁴ At the end of seven years you* will let go every man his brother who is a Hebrew, who has been sold to you and has served you six years. You will let him go free from you. But your* fathers listened not to me, nor inclined their ear.

² If you buy a Hebrew servant, six years he will serve and in the seventh he will go out free for nothing. ³ If he comes in by himself, he will go out by himself. If he is married, then his wife will go out with him.

³ If he comes in by himself, he will go out by himself. If he is married, then his wife will go out with him.

²⁸ But if he is not able to get it back for himself, then what he has sold will remain in the hand of him who has bought it until the year of jubilee. And in the jubilee it will go out and he will return to his possession.

³² and you will know the truth and the truth will be making you free.

¹⁴ For sin will not have lordship over you; for you are not under the law, but under grace.

¹⁴ who gave himself on our behalf, in order that he might redeem us away from all lawlessness and might cleanse a treasured people for himself, zealous of good works.

⁵⁵ For the sons of Israel are servants to me. They are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt. I am Jehovah your* God.

²² But now, having been made free from sin and having been enslaved to God, you have your fruit leading to holiness and the end everlasting life.

²¹ Were you called being a bondservant? Let it not be a care to you, but if you are also able to become free; use it rather. ²² For he who was called in the Lord, having been a bondservant, is the Lord’s freedman; likewise, the free one who was called, is Christ’s bondservant. ²³ You were bought with a price; do not become bondservants of men.

¹³ And the Egyptians made the sons of Israel to serve with rigor. ¹⁴ And they made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and in brick and in all manner of service in the field, all their service, with which they made them serve with rigor.

¹⁷ But the midwives feared God and did not do as the King of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive.

²¹ And it happened, because the midwives feared God, that he made them households.

²³ And it happened in the course of those many days, that the King of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel sighed because of the bondage and they cried and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.

⁷ And Jehovah said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, because I know their sorrows.

⁹ And now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to me. Moreover I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.

¹⁴ And the officers of the sons of Israel, whom Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten and demanded, Why have you* not fulfilled your* task both yesterday and today, in making brick as formerly?

⁵³ He will be with him as a servant hired year by year. He will not rule with rigor over him in your sight.

⁶ I was angry with my people. I profaned my inheritance and gave them into your hand. You showed them no mercy. you have laid your yoke very heavily upon the aged.

³ Why have we fasted, they say and you do not see? We have afflicted our soul and you take no knowledge. Behold, in the day of your* fast you* find pleasure and exact from all your* laborers.

⁴ You* have not strengthened the diseased, nor have you* healed what was sick, nor have you* bound up what was broken, nor have you* brought back what was driven away, nor have you* sought what was lost, but you* have ruled over them with force and with rigor.

⁹ And the lords, do the same things toward them and be lax with the threatening; knowing that your own Lord is also in the heavens and there is no favoritism from him.

¹ The lords: provide the just and the equal thing s to your bondservants; knowing that you also have a Lord in the heavens.

⁴⁴ but every man's servant who is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then he will eat of it.

⁸ Ask of me and I will give you the nations as your inheritance and the outermost parts of the earth as your possession. ⁹ You will smash them with a rod of iron, you will dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

¹ For Jehovah will have compassion on Jacob and will yet choose Israel and set them in their own land. And the traveler will join himself with them and they will cling to the house of Jacob. ² And the peoples will take them and bring them to their place. And the house of Israel will possess them in the land of Jehovah for servants and for handmaids. And they will take them captive whose captives they were and they will rule over their oppressors.

²⁶ And he who overcomes and he who is keeping my works to the end, to him I will be giving authority over the nations. ²⁷ And he will shepherd them with an iron rod, as the vessels of the potter will be crushed; as I have also received from my Father;

³ Neither let the foreigner, who has joined himself to Jehovah, speak, saying, Jehovah will surely separate me from his people, nor let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
⁴ For Jehovah says thus of the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths and choose the things that please me and hold fast my covenant: ⁵ To them I will give in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name better than of sons and of daughters. I will give them an everlasting name, that will not be cut off.
⁶ Also the foreigners who join themselves to Jehovah, to minister to him and to love the name of Jehovah, to be his servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath from profaning it and holds fast my covenant,

² And the peoples will take them and bring them to their place. And the house of Israel will possess them in the land of Jehovah for servants and for handmaids. And they will take them captive whose captives they were and they will rule over their oppressors.

²⁶ And if a man has no one to redeem it and he becomes rich and finds sufficient to redeem it,

⁷ Jehovah makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up. ⁸ He raises up the poor out of the dust, he lifts up the needy from the dunghill, to make them sit with rulers and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are Jehovah's and he has set the world upon them.

⁵ Listen, my beloved brethren. Did God not choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to those who love him?

³⁵ And if your brother becomes poor and his hand shakes toward you, then you will help him; he will live with you as a stranger and a traveler.

⁸ And I said to them, According to our ability we have redeemed our brothers the Jews, who were sold to the nations and would you* even sell your* brothers and should they be sold to us? Then they were silent and found not a word.

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born out of a woman, born under the law, ⁵ in order that he might buy those up who were under the law, in order that we might receive the sonship. \ulnone\nosupersub

¹¹ For both he who is making holy and those who are made holy are all from one. Because of which case, he is not ashamed to call them brethren, ¹² saying, ‘I will be proclaiming your name to my brethren, in the midst of the congregation I will be singing hymns to you.’ ¹³ And again, ‘I will have confidence in him.’And again, ‘Behold, here I am and the children whom God has given me.’

⁴⁰ He will be with you as a hired servant and as a traveler. He will serve with you to the year of jubilee.

¹⁸ It will not seem hard to you when you let him go free from you, for he has been worth a double hired servant to you, in serving you six years. And Jehovah your God will bless you in all that you do.

¹ Is there not a warfare to man upon earth? And are not his days like the days of a hireling?
² As a servant who earnestly desires the shadow and as a hireling who looks for his wages,

⁶ look away from him, that he may rest, till he will accomplish, as a hireling, his day.

¹⁴ But now Jehovah has spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of a hireling, the glory of Moab will be brought into contempt, with all his great multitude. And the remnant will be very small and of no account.

¹⁶ For thus the Lord has said to me, Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar will fail.

⁴⁰ He will be with you as a hired servant and as a traveler. He will serve with you to the year of jubilee. ⁴¹ Then he will go out from you, he and his sons with him and will return to his own family. And he will return to the possession of his fathers.

²⁵ But Jehovah says thus, Even the captives of the mighty will be taken away and the prey of the terrible will be delivered.
For I will contend with him who contends with you and I will save your sons.

³ For Jehovah says thus: You* were sold for nothing and you* will be redeemed without money.

³ And Moses said to the people, Remember this day, in which you* came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage, because by strength of hand Jehovah brought you* out from this place. There will no leavened bread be eaten.

⁴² For they are my servants, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt. They will not be sold as bondmen.

¹⁶ O Jehovah, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your handmaid. You have loosed my bonds.

³ For I am Jehovah your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your stead.

⁷⁴ having been fearlessly rescued out of the hand of our enemies, to give-divine service to him ⁷⁵ in holiness and righteousness all the days of our life in his sight.

¹⁹ For although being free from all, I enslaved myself to all, in order that I might gain all the more.

²¹ I became like the lawless to those who are lawless, (not being lawless to God, but lawful to Christ), in order that I might gain the lawless.
