¹ The heavens declare the glory of God and the expanse shows his handiwork. ² Day to day pours out speech and night to night shows knowledge. ³ There is no speech nor language in which their voice is not heard.
⁴ Their line has gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. He has set a tabernacle for the sun in them, ⁵ which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber and rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
⁶ His going forth is from the end of the heavens and his circuit to the ends of it and there is nothing hid from the heat of it.
⁷ The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul. The testimony of Jehovah is sure, making a simple man wise. ⁸ The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes. ⁹ The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring forever. The ordinances of Jehovah are true and righteous altogether. ¹⁰ They are more to be desired than gold, yes, than much fine gold. Sweeter also than honey and the droppings of the honeycomb. ¹¹ Moreover by them your servant is warned. There is great reward in keeping them.
¹² Who can discern his errors? Acquit me from hidden sins. ¹³ Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Do not let them have dominion over me. Then I will be upright and I will acquit him from great transgression.
¹⁴ Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Jehovah, my rock and my redeemer.

⁶ And God said, Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters and let it divide the waters from the waters. ⁷ And God made the expanse and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse. And it was so. ⁸ And God called the expanse Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.

¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of heaven to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years. ¹⁵ And let them be for lights in the expanse of heaven to give light upon the earth. And it was so.

³ Because I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have established,

⁶ The heavens made were by the word of Jehovah and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

⁶ And the heavens will declare his righteousness, because God is judge himself. Selah.

¹⁶ The heavens are the heavens of Jehovah, but the earth he has given to the sons of men.

³ Praise him, sun and moon. Praise him, all you* stars of light. ⁴ Praise him, you* heavens of heavens and you* waters that are above the heavens.

¹ Praise Jehovah.
Praise God in his sanctuary. Praise him in the expanse of his power. ² Praise him for his mighty acts. Praise him according to his excellent greatness.

²² It is he who sits above the circle of the earth and the inhabitants of it are as grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens as a curtain and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in, ²³ who brings rulers to nothing, who makes the judges of the earth as vanity. ²⁴ Yes, they have not been planted. Yes, they have not been sown. Yes, their stock has not taken root in the earth. Moreover he blows upon them and they wither and the whirlwind takes them away as stubble.
²⁵ To whom then will you* liken me, that I should be equal to him? says the Holy One. ²⁶ Lift up your* eyes on high and see who has created these, who brings out their host by number. He calls them all by name, by the greatness of his might. And because he is strong in power, not one is lacking.

¹¹ Thus you* will say to them: The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, these will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.
¹² He has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom and by his understanding he has stretched out the heavens.

³ And those who are wise will shine as the brightness of the expanse and those who turn many to righteousness as the stars everlasting and forever.

¹⁹ because what is known of God is apparent among them; for God manifested it to them. ²⁰ For the invisible things of him are clearly seen from the creation of the world, being perceived by the things made, both his eternal power and divinity; that they may be without defense;

¹⁷ And God set them in the expanse of heaven to give light upon the earth, ¹⁸ and to rule over the day and over the night and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.

²² While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest and cold and heat and summer and winter and day and night will not cease.

²⁰ And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. ²¹ And Miriam answered them, Sing to Jehovah, because he has triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.

⁷ Lift up your* heads, O you* gates and be lifted up, you* doors everlasting and the King of glory will come in.
⁸ Who is the King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty; Jehovah mighty in battle.
⁹ Lift up your* heads, O you* gates. Yes, lift them up, you* everlasting doors and the King of glory will come in.
¹⁰ Who is this King of glory? Jehovah of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah.

¹⁶ The day is yours; the night is also yours. You have prepared the light and the sun.

³ which we have heard and known and our fathers have told us.
⁴ We will not hide them from their sons, telling to the generation to come the praises of Jehovah and his strength and his wondrous works that he has done.
⁵ For he established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their sons, ⁶ that the generation to come might know, even the sons who should be born, who should arise and tell to their sons,

¹ Behold, praise Jehovah, all you* servants of Jehovah, who stand by night in the house of Jehovah. ² Lift up your* hands to the sanctuary and praise Jehovah. ³ Jehovah bless you out of Zion, even he who made heaven and earth.

⁸ the sun to rule by day, because his loving kindness is everlasting,
⁹ the moon and stars to rule by night, because his loving kindness is everlasting,

¹² both young men and virgins, old men and sons.

¹⁹ The living, the living, he will praise you, as I do this day. The father to the sons will make known your truth.

¹⁹ And lest you lift up your eyes to heaven and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the host of heaven, you are drawn away and worship them and serve them, which Jehovah your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.

¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of heaven to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years. ¹⁵ And let them be for lights in the expanse of heaven to give light upon the earth. And it was so.
¹⁶ And God made the two great lights, the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night and also the stars.

³ He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

² who covers yourself with light as with a garment, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain,

⁶ yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.

² But to you* who fear my name the sun of righteousness will arise with healing in its wings and you* will go forth and frolic as calves of the stall.

¹⁸ But I am saying, ‘Did they not hear?’But-rather, ‘Their sounds went out into all the earth and their declarations to the ends of the inhabited-earth.’

¹³ Now we will not be boasting in the immeasurable things, but according to the measure of the standard of which the God of measure divided to us which is able to reach even to you. ¹⁴ For we do not overstretch ourselves, as though we are not reaching toward you; for we attained even more than you in the good-news of the Christ. ¹⁵ We were not boasting in the immeasurable things, (that is, in another’s labors), but having hope that as your faith is grown, we will be magnified by you, according to our standard for abundance, ¹⁶ reaching out to proclaim the good-news into areas past you and not to boast in the things prepared in another’s standard.

⁵ The sun also arises and the sun goes down and hastens to its place where it arises.

¹⁰ I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah. My soul will be joyful in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

⁵ For as a young man marries a virgin, so will your sons marry you. And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so will your God rejoice over you.

²⁹ He who has the bride is the bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom, who is standing and hearing him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore in this, my joy has been fulfilled.

²⁴ Do you not know that those who run in the stadium, all indeed run, but only one receives the prize? So run in order that you may grab it. ²⁵ But everyone who struggles in the race exercises self-control in all things. Therefore indeed, those men do it in order that they may receive a corruptible crown, but we receive an incorruptible crown. \ulnone\nosupersub ²⁶ Now-then, I run so, as not with uncertainty. I am combating so, as not just whipping the air;

¹³ Brethren, I do not reason to have grabbed it, but one thing I indeed do, forgetting the things which are behind me and stretching forth to the things which are before me. ¹⁴ I am pursuing according to the goal line toward the prize of the upward calling of God in Christ Jesus.

¹ Therefore, since we also have so-great a cloud of witnesses encompassing us, let us run through endurance the contest laying before us, placing away from ourselves every interference, and the easily restricting sin. ² Looking away from things, look toward Jesus, the author and completer of the faith, who endured the cross having despised shame, in exchange-for the joy laying before him, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

¹⁴ Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he does not see and he walks on the vault of heaven.

³ Is there any number of his armies? And upon whom does his light not arise?

³ From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same Jehovah's name is to be praised.

⁹ If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the outermost parts of the sea,

²³ if you actually are remaining in the faith, having been founded and grounded and not being moved away from the hope of the good-news which you heard, which was preached in all creation which is under heaven; of which I, Paul, became a servant.

⁶ And these words, which I command you this day, will be upon your heart. ⁷ And you will teach them diligently to your sons and will talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. ⁸ And you will bind them for a sign upon your hand and they will be for bands between your eyes. ⁹ And you will write them upon the door-posts of your house and upon your gates.

¹⁸ And it will be, when he sits upon the throne of his kingdom, that he will write for him a copy of this law in a book, out of it before the priests the Levites, ¹⁹ and it will be with him. And he will read in it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear Jehovah his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them, ²⁰ that his heart not be lifted up above his brothers and that he does not turn aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left, to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his sons, in the midst of Israel.

⁴ The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice, a God of faithfulness and without unrighteousness, just and right is he.

⁸ This book of the law will not depart out of your mouth, but you will meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it, for then you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success.

⁵ Truly my house is not so with God. Yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things and sure. For it is all my salvation and all my desire, though he does not make it to grow.

¹² I have not gone back from the commandment of his lips, I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

³⁰ As for God, his way is perfect. The word of Jehovah is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.

³ He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

¹ Listen, O my people, to my law. Incline your* ears to the words of my mouth. ² I will open my mouth in parables. I will pour out dark sayings of long-ago, ³ which we have heard and known and our fathers have told us.
⁴ We will not hide them from their sons, telling to the generation to come the praises of Jehovah and his strength and his wondrous works that he has done.
⁵ For he established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their sons, ⁶ that the generation to come might know, even the sons who should be born, who should arise and tell to their sons, ⁷ that they might set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments,

⁵ Your testimonies are very sure. Holiness is lovely to your house, O Jehovah, forever.

⁷ The works of his hands are truth and justice. All his precepts are sure.

⁹ With what will a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to your word.

¹⁴ I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies as much as in all riches.

²⁴ Your testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.

⁷² The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.

⁹⁶ I have seen an end of all perfection. Your commandment is exceedingly broad. ⁹⁷ O how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.
⁹⁸ Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, because they are everlasting with me. ⁹⁹ I have more understanding than all my teachers, because your testimonies are my meditation. ¹⁰⁰ I understand more than the aged because I have kept your precepts.

¹⁰⁵ Your word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path.

¹¹¹ I have taken your testimonies as a heritage everlasting, because they are the rejoicing of my heart.

¹²⁷ Therefore I love your commandments above gold, yes, above fine gold. ¹²⁸ Therefore I esteem all precepts concerning all things to be right. I hate every false way.

¹³⁰ The opening of your words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple.

¹⁵² Of long-ago I have known from your testimonies because you have founded them everlasting.

¹⁹ He shows his word to Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances to Israel. ²⁰ He has not dealt so with any nation. And as for his ordinances, they have not known them.
Praise Jehovah.

⁴ to give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion,

²² How long, you* simple ones, will you* love simplicity? And scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge? ²³ Turn back at my reproof. Behold, I will pour out my spirit upon you*. I will make my words known to you*.

¹⁶ Bind you up the testimony. Seal the law among my disciples.

²⁰ Seek to the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.

³² And what he has seen and heard, he is testifying of this, and no one receives his testimony. ³³ He who has received his testimony has sealed this : that God is true.

³⁹ You are searching the Scriptures because you think that in them you have everlasting life, and these are those which are testifying concerning me;

⁴³ To this one, all the prophets are testifying, that through his name everyone who believes in him will be receiving forgiveness of sins.

² Much, according to every manner! For indeed, first, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.

² And not to fashion yourselves to this age, but be transfigured by the renewal of your mind, that you may be proving in you what is the will of God: the good and acceptable and mature.

⁴ For as many things as were written beforehand were written beforehand for our instruction, in order that through the endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing in gratitude in your heart to the Lord.

⁸ Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor me, his prisoner, but suffer-hardship together with the good-news according to the power of God,

¹⁹ Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal, ‘The Lord knows those who are his,’

¹⁵ And you have known, that from a baby, the sacred Scriptures which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
¹⁶ All Scripture is God breathed and is profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for education which is in righteousness, ¹⁷ in order that the man of God may be equipped, having been utterly equipped for every good work.

¹⁸ in order that through two unchangeable matters, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge, to take-hold of the hope that lays before us. ¹⁹ This hope which we have as an anchor of the soul, is both secure and steadfast and entering into the inner side of the curtain;

¹⁷ Every good act of giving, and every complete gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor a shadow of turning.

²¹ Hence, having placed away from yourselves all filthiness and the abundance of malice, accept the implanted word in meekness, which is able to save your souls.
²² But become doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves. ²³ Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he resembles a man considering his face (which was his from birth) in a mirror. ²⁴ For he has considered himself, and has gone away and immediately forgot what sort of man he was. ²⁵ But he who has peered into the complete law, the law of freedom, and has remained in it, this one, having not become a forgetful hearer, but a doer of works, this one will be fortunate in his doing.

⁹ If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, because the testimony of God is this: that he has testified concerning his Son. ¹⁰ He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God, has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning his Son. ¹¹ And the testimony is this, that God gave to us everlasting life and this life is in his Son. ¹² He who has the Son, has life; he who does not have the Son of God, does not have the life.

¹⁰ And I fell down before his feet to worship him. And he says to me, See that you do not do that. I am a fellow bondservant of you and of your brethren who are holding the testimony of Jesus. Worship God; for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

⁵ because Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my order, my commandments, my statutes and my laws.

¹⁶ When they have a matter, they come to me and I judge between a man and his neighbor. And I make them know the statutes of God and his laws.

⁵ Behold, I have taught you* statutes and ordinances, even as Jehovah my God commanded me, that you* should do so in the midst of the land where you* go in to possess it. ⁶ Keep therefore and do them, for this is your* wisdom and your* understanding in the sight of the peoples, who will hear all these statutes and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

¹¹ then it will happen that to the place which Jehovah your* God will choose to cause his name to dwell there, there you* will bring all that I command you*: your* burnt offerings and your* sacrifices, your* tithes and the heave offering of your* hand and all your* choice vows which you* vow to Jehovah.
¹² And you* will rejoice before Jehovah your* God, you* and your* sons and your* daughters and your* men-servants and your* maid-servants and the Levite who is within your* gates–inasmuch as he has no portion nor inheritance with you*.

¹¹ And you will rejoice before Jehovah your God, you and your son and your daughter and your man-servant and your maid-servant and the Levite who is within your gates and the traveler and the fatherless and the widow, who are in the midst of you, in the place which Jehovah your God will choose to cause his name to dwell there,

¹⁴ And you will rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter and your man-servant and your maid-servant and the Levite and the traveler and the fatherless and the widow, who are within your gates.

¹² And all the people went their way to eat and to drink and to send portions and to make great gladness, because they had understood the words that were declared to them.

¹³ You also came down upon Mount Sinai and spoke with them from heaven and gave them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments,

⁶ The words of Jehovah are pure words, as silver tried in a furnace on the earth, purified seven times.

³ Consider and answer me, O Jehovah my God. Lighten my eyes, lest I sleep the death,

⁸ I delight to do your will, O my God. Yes, your law is within my heart.

⁴⁵ that they might keep his statutes and observe his laws. Praise Jehovah.

¹² Praise you, O Jehovah. Teach me your statutes.

¹⁶ I will delight myself in your statutes. I will not forget your word.

⁴⁰ Behold, I have longed after your precepts. Give me life in your righteousness.

⁵⁴ Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

⁸⁰ Let my heart be perfect in your statutes that I am not put to shame.

⁹² Unless your law had been my delight, I should then have perished in my affliction.

¹²¹ I have done justice and righteousness. Do not leave me to my oppressors.

¹²⁸ Therefore I esteem all precepts concerning all things to be right. I hate every false way.

¹⁴³ Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me. Your commandments are my delight.

¹⁷¹ Let my lips pour out praise, because you teach me your statutes.

⁶ Because Jehovah gives wisdom. Out of his mouth is knowledge and understanding.

²³ Because the commandment is a lamp and the law is light and reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

⁵ Every word of God is tried. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

⁵ You meet he who rejoices and works righteousness, those who remember you in your ways.
Behold, you were angry and we sinned. In them is eternity, shall we be saved?

¹⁶ Your words were found and I ate them. And your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart. For I am called by your name, O Jehovah, God of hosts.

²⁷ And I will put my Spirit within you* and cause you* to walk in my statutes and you* will keep my ordinances and do them.

¹⁷ Behold, you who are named a Jew and rest upon the law and boast in God, ¹⁸ and know God’s will and approve the things which carry more-value, being instructed out of the law, ¹⁹ and have confidence that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light of those who are in darkness, ²⁰ a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of infants, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth.

²⁰ because no flesh will be made righteous in his sight from the works of the law; for through the law comes the full knowledge of sin.

⁷ Therefore what shall we say? Is the law sin? Let it not happen! But, I did not know sin, except through the law; for I also did not know coveting.

¹² So-that the law indeed is holy and the commandment holy and righteous and good. ¹³ Therefore what is the good thing for me, has it become death? Let it not happen! But sin, in order that it might appear as sin, through what is the good thing for me, was working death; in order that sin might become a surpassingly-better sinner through the commandment. ¹⁴ For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am fleshly, having been sold under sin.

²² For I delight-inwardly in the law of God according to the inward man.

¹⁹ For through the law I died to the law, in order that I might live to God.

¹⁰ For as many as are from the works of the law are under a curse; for it has been written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is not remaining in all things which have been written in the book of the law, and to practice them.’ ¹¹ Now it is evident that no one is made righteous in the law before God, because, ‘The righteous will be living from faith.’ ¹² Now the law is not from faith, but, ‘The man who does them will live in them.’ ¹³ Christ bought us up out of the curse of the law, having become a curse on our behalf; for it has been written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs upon a tree,’

²¹ Therefore is the law against the promises of God? Let it not happen! For if a law was given which is able to give-life, righteousness really would have been from the law.

¹² And he said, Do not lay your hand upon the lad, neither do you anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.

¹⁸ And Joseph said to them the third day, Do this and live, because I fear God.

¹ Now these are the ordinances which you will set before them.

⁸ And what great nation is there that has statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law, which I set before you* this day?

²⁴ Only fear Jehovah and serve him in truth with all your* heart, for consider what great things he has done for you*.

³ And Ahab called Obadiah, who was over the household. (Now Obadiah feared Jehovah greatly; ⁴ for it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of Jehovah, that Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave and fed them with bread and water.)

¹² And it will happen, as soon as I have gone from you, that the Spirit of Jehovah will carry you where I do not know. And so when I come and tell Ahab and he cannot find you, he will kill me. But I your servant fear Jehovah from my youth.

¹⁵ But the former governors who were before me charged the people and took bread and wine from them, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people. But I did not so, because of the fear of God.

⁵ His ways are profane at all times. Your judgments are far above out of his sight. As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them.

¹¹ Come, you* children, listen to me. I will teach you* the fear of Jehovah. ¹² What man is he who desires life and loves many days, that he may see good? ¹³ Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. ¹⁴ Depart from evil and do good. Seek peace and pursue it.

¹ The transgression of the wicked man says within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes.

⁶ Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are a great deep. O Jehovah, you preserve man and beast.

¹ Give the king your judgments, O God and your righteousness to the king's son. ² He will judge your people with righteousness and your poor with justice.

¹⁰ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom and all who act accordingly have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever.

¹³ He will bless those who fear Jehovah, both small and great.

¹ Those who are perfect in the way, who walk in the law of Jehovah are fortunate.

⁷ I will give thanks to you with uprightness of heart when I learn your righteous judgments.

³⁹ Turn away my reproach of which I am afraid, because your ordinances are good.

⁶² At midnight I will rise to give thanks to you because of your righteous ordinances.

⁷⁵ I know, O Jehovah, that your judgments are righteous and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.

¹⁰⁶ I have sworn and have confirmed it, that I will observe your righteous ordinances.

¹³⁷ You are righteous, O Jehovah and upright are your judgments. ¹³⁸ You have commanded your testimonies in righteousness and exceeding faithfulness.

¹⁴² Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and your law is truth.

¹⁹ He shows his word to Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances to Israel.

¹³ The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil. I hate: pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth.

⁸ Yes, in the way of your judgments, O Jehovah, we have waited for you, to your name. Even to your memorial, is the desire of our soul.

²² Now they said, Cornelius a centurion, a righteous man and fearing God, being well testified of by the whole nation of the Jews, was divinely-warned by a holy messenger to send for you to come to his house and to hear words from you.

² Now we have known that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those who practice such things.

¹⁰ just-as it has been written, ‘There is none righteous, not even one. ¹¹ No one is understanding. No one is seeking out God. ¹² They all shunned God. They were becoming-useless at the same time. No one is practicing kindness; no one is insofar as even one.’ ¹³ ‘Their throat has been an opened burial chamber; they were treacherous with their tongues.’‘The poison of asps is under their lips.’ ¹⁴ ‘Whose mouth is full of evil-cursing and bitterness.’ ¹⁵ ‘Their feet are swift to shed blood; ¹⁶ downfall and miseries are in their ways; ¹⁷ and they did not know the way of peace.’ ¹⁸ ‘There is no fear of God in front of their eyes.’

²² Therefore, behold the kindness and severity of God, indeed severity upon those who fell, but kindness upon you, if you remain in the kindness of God : otherwise you also will be cut off.

³ And they are singing the song of Moses the bondservant of God and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty; your ways are righteous and true, the King of the nations.

⁷ And I heard from the altar saying, Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, your judgments are true and righteous.

² because true and righteous are his judgments, because he has judged the great prostitute, she who was corrupting the earth in her fornication and he has avenged the blood of his bondservants from her hand.

²⁶ And when the people came to the forest, behold, the honey dropped, but no man put his hand to his mouth, for the people feared the oath.
²⁷ But Jonathan heard not when his father charged the people with the oath, therefore he put forth the end of the rod that was in his hand and dipped it in the honeycomb and put his hand to his mouth and his eyes were enlightened. ²⁸ Then one of the people answered and said, Your father strictly charged the people with an oath, saying, Cursed be the man who eats food this day and the people were faint.
²⁹ Then Jonathan said, My father has troubled the land. See, I beseech you*, how my eyes have been enlightened because I tasted a little of this honey.

¹⁵ It cannot be gotten for gold, nor will silver be weighed for the price of it. ¹⁶ It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
¹⁷ Gold and glass cannot equal it, nor will it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold.28:18 No mention will be made of coral or of crystal. Yes, the price of wisdom is above rubies.

⁵ My soul will be satisfied as with marrow and fatness. And my mouth will praise you with joyful lips

¹⁰³ How sweet are your words to my taste, than honey to my mouth!

¹²⁷ Therefore I love your commandments above gold, yes, above fine gold.

¹³ The man who finds wisdom is fortunate, and the man who gets understanding. ¹⁴ Because the gain of it is better than the gain of silver and the profit of it than fine gold. ¹⁵ She is more precious than rubies and none of the things you can desire are to be compared to her.

¹⁰ Receive my instruction and not silver and knowledge rather than choice gold. ¹¹ Because wisdom is better than rubies and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

¹⁹ My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold and my revenue better than choice silver.

¹⁶ How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! Yes, to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver.

¹³ My son, eat honey, because it is good and the droppings of the honeycomb, which are sweet to your taste,

¹⁰ And whenever any controversy will come to you* from your* brothers who dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and ordinances, you* will warn them, that they not be guilty towards Jehovah and so wrath come upon you* and upon your* brothers. Do this and you* will not be guilty.

¹¹ I have laid your word up in my heart that I might not sin against you.

¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand, in her left hand are riches and honor. ¹⁷ Her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace. ¹⁸ She is a tree of life to those who lay hold upon her. And everyone who retains her is fortunate.

²² When you walk, it will lead you. When you sleep, it will watch over you. And when you awake, it will talk with you.
²³ Because the commandment is a lamp and the law is light and reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

¹⁸ A wicked man earns deceitful wages, but he who sows righteousness has a sure reward.

¹⁸ Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint, but he who keeps the law, he is fortunate.

¹⁰ Say you* of the righteous, that it is well, for they will eat the fruit of their practices. ¹¹ Woe to the wicked! It is ill with him, for what his hands have done will be done to him.

¹⁷ Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore hear the word at my mouth and give them warning from me.
¹⁸ When I say to a wicked man, You will surely die and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked man from his wicked way, to save his life, the same wicked man will die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at your hand.
¹⁹ Yet if you warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.
²⁰ Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits unrighteousness and I lay a stumbling block before him, he will die. Because you have not given him warning, he will die in his sin and his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered, but I will require his blood at your hand.
²¹ Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous man not sin and he does not sin, he will surely live, because he took warning and you have delivered your soul.

³ if, when he sees the sword come upon the land, he blows the trumpet and warns the people, ⁴ then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and takes no warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood will be upon his own head.
⁵ He heard the sound of the trumpet and took no warning; his blood will be upon him. But if he had taken warning, he would have delivered his soul.
⁶ But if the watchman sees the sword come and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at the watchman's hand.
⁷ So you, son of man, I have set you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore hear the word at my mouth and give them warning from me. ⁸ When I say to the wicked man, O wicked man, you will surely die and you do not speak to warn the wicked man from his way, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at your hand.
⁹ Nevertheless, if you warn the wicked man of his way to turn from it and he does not turn from his way, he will die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.

⁷ But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his immersion, he said to them, Offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the future wrath?

⁴ that your charity may be in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will be repaying you openly.

⁶ But you, whenever you pray, enter into your storeroom, and when you have locked your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will be repaying you openly.

¹⁸ that you do not appear to be fasting to men, but to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will be repaying you.

³¹ Hence watch, remembering that for three years I ceased not from admonishing each one of you^\'b0 every day with tears.

¹⁴ I am not writing these things to be embarrassing you, but I am admonishing you as my beloved children.

¹⁴ But brethren, we encourage you : admonish the disorderly, console the fainthearted, hold up the weak, have patience toward all.

⁶ But without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to God; for it is essential for the one who comes near to God to believe that he is and that he becomes a rewarder to those who are seeking him out. ⁷ In faith, Noah, having been divinely-warned concerning things not yet seen, and being scared, prepared an ark for the salvation of his house; through which he condemned the world and he became an heir of righteousness according to faith.

²⁶ having deemed the reproach of the Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking toward the reward.

²⁵ But he who has peered into the complete law, the law of freedom, and has remained in it, this one, having not become a forgetful hearer, but a doer of works, this one will be fortunate in his doing.

⁸ Beware in yourselves, in order that you should not destroy the things which we have worked in you, but in order that we may receive a full reward.

¹³ And I heard the voice from heaven saying to me, Write, the dead ones who die in the Lord are fortunate from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they should rest themselves from their labors, and their works follow after them.

² Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, If a soul will sin unwittingly, in any of the things which Jehovah has commanded not to be done and will do any one of them, ³ if the anointed priest will sin so as to bring guilt on the people, then let him offer for his sin, which he has sinned, a young bullock without blemish to Jehovah for a sin offering. ⁴ And he will bring the bullock to the door of the tent of meeting before Jehovah. And he will lay his hand upon the head of the bullock and kill the bullock before Jehovah. ⁵ And the anointed priest will take of the blood of the bullock and bring it to the tent of meeting. ⁶ And the priest will dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle of the blood seven times before Jehovah, before the veil of the sanctuary. ⁷ And the priest will put of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense before Jehovah, which is in the tent of meeting and all the blood of the bullock he will pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the tent of meeting. ⁸ And all the fat of the bullock of the sin offering he will take off from it. The fat that covers the innards and all the fat that is upon the innards, ⁹ and the two kidneys and the fat that is upon them, which is by the loins and the lobe of the liver, with the kidneys, he will take away, ¹⁰ as it is taken off from the ox of the sacrifice of peace offerings. And the priest will burn them upon the altar of burnt offering. ¹¹ And the skin of the bullock and all its flesh, with its head and with its legs and its innards and its manure, ¹² even the whole bullock he will carry forth outside the camp to a clean place, where the ashes are poured out and burn it on wood with fire. It will be burnt where the ashes are poured out.
¹³ And if the whole congregation of Israel err and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly and they have done any of the things which Jehovah has commanded not to be done and are guilty, ¹⁴ when the sin by which they have sinned is known, then the assembly will offer a young bullock for a sin offering and bring it before the tent of meeting. ¹⁵ And the elders of the congregation will lay their hands upon the head of the bullock before Jehovah and the bullock will be killed before Jehovah. ¹⁶ And the anointed priest will bring of the blood of the bullock to the tent of meeting. ¹⁷ And the priest will dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle it seven times before Jehovah, before the veil. ¹⁸ And he will put of the blood upon the horns of the altar which is before Jehovah, that is in the tent of meeting and all the blood he will pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the tent of meeting. ¹⁹ And all the fat of it he will take off from it and burn it upon the altar. ²⁰ Thus he will do with the bullock, as he did with the bullock of the sin offering, so he will do with this. And the priest will make atonement for them and they will be forgiven. ²¹ And he will carry forth the bullock outside the camp and burn it as he burned the first bullock. It is the sin offering for the assembly.
²² When a ruler sins and does unwittingly any one of all the things which Jehovah his God has commanded not to be done and is guilty, ²³ if his sin, by which he has sinned, be made known to him, he will bring for his oblation a goat, a male without blemish. ²⁴ And he will lay his hand upon the head of the goat and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before Jehovah. It is a sin offering. ²⁵ And the priest will take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering and the blood of it he will pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering. ²⁶ And all the fat of it he will burn upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings. And the priest will make atonement for him as concerning his sin and he will be forgiven.
²⁷ And if any soul of the common people sin unwittingly, in doing any of the things which Jehovah has commanded not to be done and be guilty, ²⁸ if his sin, which he has sinned, be made known to him, then he will bring for his oblation a goat, a female without blemish, for his sin which he has sinned. ²⁹ And he will lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering and kill the sin offering in the place of burnt offering. ³⁰ And the priest will take of the blood of it with his finger and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering and all the blood of it he will pour out at the base of the altar. ³¹ And all the fat of it he will take away, as the fat is taken away from the sacrifice of peace offerings and the priest will burn it upon the altar for a sweet aroma to Jehovah. And the priest will make atonement for him and he will be forgiven.
³² And if he brings a lamb as his oblation for a sin offering, he will bring it a female without blemish. ³³ And he will lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering and kill it for a sin offering in the place where they kill the burnt offering. ³⁴ And the priest will take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering and all the blood of it he will pour out at the base of the altar. ³⁵ And all the fat of it he will take away, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of peace offerings and the priest will burn them on the altar, upon the offerings of Jehovah made by fire. And the priest will make atonement for him concerning his sin that he has sinned and he will be forgiven.

²⁴ Teach me and I will be quiet. And cause me to understand how I have erred.

¹² because innumerable evils have encompassed me around. My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up. They are more than the hairs of my head and my heart has failed me.

² Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

⁵ Behold, I was brought out in iniquity and my mother conceived me in sin.
⁶ Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts and in the hidden part you will make me to know wisdom.
⁷ Purify me with hyssop and I will be clean. Wash me and I will be whiter than snow. ⁸ Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones which you have broken may rejoice.
⁹ Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities. ¹⁰ Create in me a clean heart, O God and renew a right spirit within me.

³ Iniquities prevail against me. As for our transgressions, you will forgive them.

⁸ You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your countenance.

² You know my sitting down and my rising up. You understand my thought afar off.

⁶ Such knowledge is too wonderful for me. It is high, I cannot attain to it.

²³ Search me, O God and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts, ²⁴ and see if there is any wicked way in me. And lead me in the way everlasting.

⁶ For we have all become as unclean and all our righteous acts are as a menstruation cloth. And we all fade as a leaf. And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

⁹ The heart is deceitful above all things and it is exceedingly corrupt. Who can know it?

⁴ For I have been conscious of nothing in myself, but I have not been made righteous in this thing. But he who is judging me is the Lord.

⁷ but the high-priest went alone into the second, once in the year for all, not without blood, which he offers on behalf of himself and on behalf of the sins of ignorance of the people.

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son is cleansing us from every sin.

⁶ And God said to him in the dream, Yes, I know that in the integrity of your heart you have done this. And I also withheld you from sinning against me. Therefore I did not allow you to touch her.

¹⁴ And if a man comes presumptuously upon his neighbor, to kill him with guile, you will take him from my altar, that he may die.

³⁰ But the soul that does anything with a high hand, whether he is home-born or a traveler, the same blasphemes Jehovah and that soul will be cut off from among his people. ³¹ Because he has despised the word of Jehovah and has broken his commandment, that soul will utterly be cut off; his iniquity will be upon him.

¹² And the man who does presumptuously, in not listening to the priest who stands to minister there before Jehovah your God, or to the judge, even that man will die and you will put away the evil from Israel. ¹³ And all the people will hear and fear and do no more presumptuously.

³² And David said to Abigail, Praise Jehovah, the God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me, ³³ and your discretion is blessed and you are blessed, who have kept me this day from blood guiltiness and from avenging myself with my own hand. ³⁴ For in very deed, as Jehovah, the God of Israel, lives, who has withheld me from hurting you, unless you had hastened and come to meet me, surely there had not been left to Nabal by the morning light so much as one who urinates on the wall.

³⁹ And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Praise Jehovah, who has pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal and has kept back his servant from evil and Jehovah has returned the evil-doing of Nabal upon his own head. And David sent and spoke concerning Abigail, to take her to him as a wife.

¹³ So Saul died for his trespass which he committed against Jehovah, because of the word of Jehovah, which he did not keep and also because he asked counsel of a spiritist, to inquire of it, ¹⁴ and did not inquire of Jehovah. Therefore he killed him and turned the kingdom to David the son of Jesse.

¹⁰ My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.

⁷ Because Jehovah is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright man will behold his face.

²³ I was also perfect with him and I kept myself from my iniquity.

¹¹ Because Jehovah God is a sun and a shield. Jehovah will give favor and glory. He will withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly.

¹³³ Establish my footsteps in your word and do not let any wickedness have dominion over me.

¹⁶ But I apply myself in this, having a guilt-free conscience always toward God and men.

¹² Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you might obey it in its lusts; ¹³ nor present your members as weapons of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God, as living from the dead and your members as weapons of righteousness to God. ¹⁴ For sin will not have lordship over you; for you are not under the law, but under grace.

¹⁶ Do you not know, that to whom you present yourselves as bondservants to obedience, you are the bondservants to whom you obey; either of sin to death or of obedience to righteousness? ¹⁷ But gratitude to God, that, though you were bondservants of sin, you obeyed from the heart the pattern of teaching to which you were given; ¹⁸ and having been made free from sin, you were enslaved to righteousness.
¹⁹ I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh; for just-as you presented your members as bondservants to uncleanness and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as bondservants to righteousness leading to holiness. ²⁰ For when you were bondservants of sin, you were free in regard to the righteousness. ²¹ Therefore, what fruit were you having then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. ²² But now, having been made free from sin and having been enslaved to God, you have your fruit leading to holiness and the end everlasting life.

¹⁰ and especially those who are conducting-themselves after the flesh in the lust of defilement and while despising lordship. Daring and self-willed, they are not trembling when blaspheming heavenly glories;

⁴ And Abel, he also brought of the first-offspring of his flock and of the fat of it. And Jehovah had respect to Abel and to his offering, ⁵ but he did not have respect to Cain and to his offering. And Cain was furious and his countenance fell.

²⁵ But as for me I know that my Redeemer lives and at last he will stand up upon the earth.

¹ Listen to my words, O Jehovah, Consider my meditation. ² Listen to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, because I pray to you.

¹ I love you, O Jehovah, my strength. ² Jehovah is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

¹⁵ O Lord, open you my lips and my mouth will show forth your praise.

¹⁸ If I regard wickedness in my heart, the Lord will not hear. ¹⁹ But truly God has heard. He has attended to the voice of my prayer.
²⁰ Kneel to God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his loving kindness from me.

³⁴ Let your meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in Jehovah.

¹⁰⁸ I beseech you, accept the free-will offerings of my mouth, O Jehovah and teach me your ordinances.

⁸ The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

¹⁴ Jehovah says thus, your* Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your* sake I have sent to Babylon and I will bring down all of them as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing.

⁶ Jehovah says thus, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts: I am the first and I am the last and besides me there is no God.

⁴ Our Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.

⁵ For your maker is your husband. Jehovah of hosts is his name. And the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer. He will be called the God of the whole earth.

¹⁶ that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, having done the sacred work of the good-news of God, in order that the offering up of the Gentiles might become acceptable, having been made holy in the Holy Spirit.

¹⁰ and to await his Son Jesus from the heavens, whom he raised up from the dead; who rescues us from the coming wrath.

¹⁴ who gave himself on our behalf, in order that he might redeem us away from all lawlessness and might cleanse a treasured people for himself, zealous of good works.

⁴ In faith, Abel offered a more excellent sacrifice to God than Cain, through which he was witnessed to be righteous, God testifying on the basis of his gifts and through it he still speaks, although being dead.

¹⁵ Therefore, let us always offer up a sacrifice of praising through him to God, that is, the fruit of our lips confessing in his name.

¹⁸ knowing that you were redeemed from your futile conduct handed down from your forefathers not with corruptible things like with silver or with gold. ¹⁹ But like that of an unblemished and unstained lamb, you were redeemed by the precious blood of Christ,

⁵ You, yourselves, like living stones, are also built up as a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

⁹ And they are singing a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, because you were slaughtered and bought us in your blood for God out of every tribe and language and people and nation.
