³ Trust in Jehovah and do good. Dwell in the land and feed on his faithfulness.

² And Jehovah appeared to him and said, Do not go down into Egypt. Dwell in the land which I will tell you of.

²⁰ to love Jehovah your God, to obey his voice and to cling to him, for he is your life and the length of your days, that you may dwell in the land which Jehovah swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob, to give them.

¹⁹ Now therefore, I beseech you, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If it is Jehovah who has stirred you up against me, let him accept an offering, but if it is the sons of men, cursed be they before Jehovah. For they have driven me out this day that I should not cling to the inheritance of Jehovah, saying, Go, serve other gods.

⁵ Offer the sacrifices of righteousness and put your* trust in Jehovah.

¹ Judge me, O Jehovah, because I have walked in my integrity. I have also trusted in Jehovah without wavering.

¹⁹ to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine.

⁹ O fear Jehovah, you* his, holy ones, because there is no want to those who fear him.
¹⁰ The young lions do lack and suffer hunger, but those who seek Jehovah will not want any good thing.

⁸ Trust in him at all times, you* the people. Pour out your* heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.

¹⁶ Wash you*, make you* clean, put away the evil of your* practices from before my eyes. Cease to do evil. ¹⁷ Learn to do good. Seek justice, make the oppressed fortunate, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
¹⁸ Come now and let us reason together, says Jehovah, though your* sins be as scarlet, they will be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they will be as wool.
¹⁹ If you* are willing and obedient, you* will eat the good of the land.

¹¹ He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in his arm and carry them in his bosom, and will gently lead those who have their young.

¹⁰ Who is among you* that fears Jehovah, who obeys the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness and has no light, let him trust in the name of Jehovah and rely upon his God.

⁷ Blessed is the man who trusts in Jehovah and whose trust Jehovah is. ⁸ For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out its roots by the river and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green and will not be worried in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.

³¹ Therefore do^\'b0 not be anxious, saying, What should we eat? or, What should we drink? or, What should we dress ourselves with? ³² For the Gentiles are seeking after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you have needs of all these things. ³³ But first seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

³⁵ And he said to them, When I sent you forth without money-bag and knapsack and shoes, you did not lack anything, did you?
And they said, Nothing.

⁵⁷ but gratitude to God, who is giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁵⁸ So-then my beloved brethren, become grounded, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not empty in the Lord.

¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the labor of the love which you showed toward his name, having served the holy-ones and still serving them. ¹¹ But we are desiring each of you to show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope till the end; ¹² in order that you should not become sluggish, but imitators of those who are inheriting the promises through faith and patience.

¹³ These all died according to faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and having greeted them from farther out and having confessed that they are strangers and travelers upon the earth. ¹⁴ For those who are saying such things are disclosing that they are seeking after a fatherland. ¹⁵ And if they were indeed remembering that region from which they went out, they would have had an opportunity to revisit. ¹⁶ But now they are aspiring for themselves to a better region, this thing is a heavenly one. Hence God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God; for he has prepared a city for them.
