⁴ When Jesus heard this, He said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

³⁹ He went inside and asked, “Why all this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead, but asleep.” ⁴⁰ And they laughed at Him. After He had put them all outside, He took the child’s father and mother and His own companions, and went in where the child was lying. ⁴¹ Taking her by the hand, Jesus said, “Talitha koumi!” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!” ⁴² Immediately the girl got up and began to walk around. She was twelve years old, and at once they were utterly astounded.

¹¹ Jesus performed this, the first of His signs, at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.

²³ so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, “If I glorify Myself, My glory means nothing. The One who glorifies Me is My Father, of whom you say ‘He is our God.’

³ Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him.

²⁴ So a second time they called for the man who had been blind and said, “Give glory to God! We know that this man is a sinner.”

⁴⁰ Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”

²⁸ Father, glorify Your name!” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.”

³¹ When Judas had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him. ³² If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify the Son in Himself—and will glorify Him at once.

¹ When Jesus had spoken these things, He lifted up His eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may also glorify You.

⁵ And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world existed.

¹⁰ All I have is Yours, and all You have is Mine; and in them I have been glorified.

¹¹ I ask then, did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Certainly not! However, because of their trespass, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous.

¹¹ filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

²⁰ I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have complete boldness so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. ²¹ Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him; and so your faith and hope are in God.

¹¹ If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

¹⁴ If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. Indeed, on their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
