¹⁹ For therby we know that we are of the verytye, and can before him quyete oure hertes.

¹⁷ And the rewarde of ryghtuousnesse shalbe peace, and her frute reste and quyetnesse for euer.

³⁵ By thys shall all men knowe that ye are my discyples, yf ye shall haue loue one to another.

³⁷ Pilate sayed to him: Arte thou a kynge then? Iesus aunswered: Thou sayest that I am a kynge. For thys cause was I borne, and for thys cause came I into the worlde, that I shoulde beare wytnes vnto the trueth. And al that are of the trueth heare my voyce.

²¹ full certifyed, that what he had promysed, that he was able to make good.

³⁸ Yea and I am sure that neyther death, neither life, neyther angels, nor rule, neythere power, neythere thinges presente, neyther thynges to come,

¹² for the whiche cause I also suffer these thinges. Neuerthelesse I am not ashamed. For I know whom I haue beleued, and am sure that he is able to kepe that whiche I haue commytted to hys kepyng, agaynst that daye.

¹⁰ For God is not vnryghtuous that he should forget your worke and laboure that procedeth of loue, which loue you shewed in hys name, whiche haue mynystred vnto the saynctes, & yet mynyster. ¹¹ Yea, and we desyre that euerye one of you shew the same dylygence, to the stablyshynge of hope euen vnto the ende:

²² let vs draw nye wyth a true herte in a full fayth, sprynkeled in our hertes from an euyl conscyence, and washed in our bodyes wyth pure water,

¹³ And they all dyed in fayth, and receyued not the promyses: but sawe them a farre of, & beleued them; and saluted them: and confessed that they were straungers and pylgrems on the earthe.

⁸ If we saye that we haue no sinne, we deceiue oure selues, and trueth is not in vs.

¹⁴ We know that we are translated from death vnto lyfe, because we loue the brethren. He that loueth not his brother, abydeth in death.

²¹ Beloued, yf our hertes condempne vs not, then haue we trust to Godward,
