¹ And it came to passe the foure hundred and foure skore yeare after the chyldren of Israel were come out of the lande of Egypte, and the fourth yeare of the raigne of Salomon vpon Israell, and the second moneth called Zif that he beganne to buylde the temple vnto the Lorde.

¹ And the Lord spake to Moses in the wyldernes of Sinai in the Tabernacle of witnes, the fyrste daye of the seconde moneth and in the seconde yere after they were come oute of the Lande of Egypte sayinge:

²⁶ all the wyle Israell dwelte in Hesbon and her tounes, and in Aroer and her tounes, and in all the cytyes that be a longe by the coastes of Arnon .iij. hundred yeres? why dydest thou not recouer them in all that space,

³⁷ In the fourth yere of his raygne was the foundacyon of the house of the Lorde layde,

¹⁹ And geue vnto Salomon my sonne, a pure herte to kepe thy commaundementes, thy testimonyes & thyne ordinaunces, and to do all, and to buylde the house whiche I entended.

¹ And Salomon beganne to build the house of the Lorde at Ierusalem in mount Moriah, whiche was shewed Dauid hys father when he prepared a place in the treshyng floure of Ornan the Iebusite. ² And he began to buylde the seconde daye of the seconde moneth the fourth yeare of hys raigne.

¹² and speake vnto hym: Thus sayth the Lorde of hostes: Behold the man whose name is the braunche: and he that shall sprynge vp after hym, shall buylde vp the temple of the Lorde, ¹³ yea euen he shall buylde vp the temple of the Lord. He shall beare the prayse, he shal syt vpon the Lordes trone, and haue the domynacyon. A Priest shall be also vpon hys trone, & a peaceable councell shalbe betwixte them both.

¹⁵ that ye maye knowe, howe that the Lorde of hostes hath sent me vnto you. And this shal come to passe. Yf ye will herken diligently vnto the voyce of the Lorde youre God.

¹⁹ Iesus aunswered and said vnto them: destroy thys temple & in thre dayes. I wyll reare it vp again. ²⁰ Then said the Iewes .xlvi. yeres was thys temple a buildynge, and wylt thou reare it vp in .iij. daies? ²¹ But he spake of the temple of hys bodie.

⁴⁷ But Solomon buylt hym an house.

¹⁹ Either knowe ye not howe that youre bodies are the temple of the holye ghoste, whyche is in you, whome ye haue of God, and how that ye are not your owne?

¹⁶ Howe agreeth the temple of God with Images. And ye are the temple of that lyuynge God, as sayed God. I wyll dwell amonge them, and walke among them, and wyll be theyr God, and they shall be my people.

²⁰ and are buylt vpon the foundation of the Apostles & Prophetes, Iesus Christe beynge the head corner stone, ²¹ in whom euerye buyldinge coupled together, groweth vnto an holye temple in the Lorde, ²² in whom ye also are buylde together, and made an habitacion for god in the spyryte.

⁷ roted and builte in him and stedfaste in the fayth as ye haue learned, and therin be plentuous in geuing thankes.

¹¹ But Christe beynge an hye prieste of good thynges to come, came by a greater & a more perfecte tabernacle, not made wyth handes: that is to saye, not of thys maner buyldynge,

¹⁰ For he loked for a cytie hauing a foundacyon, whose buylder and maker is God.

⁵ and ye as lyuynge stones, are made a spirytuall housse, and an holye priesthode, for to offer vp spyrytuall sacryfyce, acceptable to God by Iesus Christe.
