⁶ And they sayde vnto him: there came a man against vs & sayde vnto vs: go and turne agayne vnto the kynge that sent you, & saye vnto him. Thus sayth the lord: It is because there is no God in Israel, that thou sendest to enquyre thorowe Beelzebub the God of Akaron? Therfore thou shalt not come doune from the bed on which thou art gone vp, but shalt surelye dye.

² And Ohoziah fell thorowe a lattese wyndowe out of an vpper chambre that he had in Samaria, & fell sycke. Then he sent messengers sayinge vnto them: go & enquyre of Beelzebub the God of Akaron, whether I shal recouer of this disease. ³ But the Aungell of the Lorde spake vnto Eliah the Thesbite: vp and go agaynst the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say vnto them: Is it because there is no God in Israel, that ye go to aske thorow Beelzebub the God of Akaron. ⁴ Therfore thus sayth the Lorde: thou shalt not come doune from the bedde on which thou art gone vp, but shalt dye. And Eliah departed.

¹³ And so Saul dyed for hys trespace that he trespaced agaynst the Lorde, in that he kept not the worde of the Lorde, and in that he asked councell of a woman that wrought with a sprite, ¹⁴ and asked not of the Lorde. And therfore the Lorde killed hym & turned the kyngdome vnto Dauid the sonne of Iesai.

⁴ But they that runne after another, shall haue greate trouble. Their drinckoffringes of bloude will not I offre, neither make mencion of their name in my mouth.

²² Let the goddes come forth them selues, & shewe vs the thynges that are past, what they be: let them declare them vnto vs, that we maye take them to herte, and knowe them herafter. ²³ Ether, let them shewe vs thynges for to come, and tell vs what shalbe done her after: so shal we knowe, that they be goddes. Shewe somthing, ether good or bad: so wyll we both knowledge the same, and tell it out.
