³² And as Elizeus satte in hys house, and the elders wt hym, the kynge sente one from hym. But yer the messenger came at hym, he sayd to the elders: se you not howe the sonne of thys murtherer hath sent, to take of myne head? be circumspecte therfore when the messenger cometh, & shutte the dore, and thrust hym backe therwyth: for the sound of hys maysters fete foloweth him.

⁶ But when Ahiah hearde the sounde of her fete as she come to the dore, he sayde: come in thou wyfe of Ieroboam, why feynest thou thy selfe to be another? I am sent to the a cruell messenger.

⁴ in so muche that when Iezabel destroyed the Prophetes of the Lorde, he toke an hundred of the Prophetes and hyd them, fyftye in one caue, and fyftye in another, and prouyded breade and water for them.

¹³ Was it not tolde my Lorde, what I dyd, when Iezabel slue the Prophetes of the Lorde how I hydde an hundred of the Lordes Prophetes, fyfty in one caue and as many in another, & prouyded them of breade and water? ¹⁴ And yet now thou sayest, go shewe thy Lorde, that Eliah is here, that he shoulde sley me.

¹⁰ and set two vnthriftes before him: and let them testifye agaynst hym sayinge: thou dyddest curse bothe God and the king: & vpon that carie him out & stone hym to death.

¹³ and there came in two vnthriftye persones and sate before him. And the two vnthriftye persones wytnesseth agaynst Naboth before the people sayinge: Naboth dyd curse God and the kinge. And vpon the they caryed him out of the cytye and stoned him wyth stones to death.

²⁶ And he sayde: wente not myne herte with the, when the man turned & came of hys charet agaynste the? Is it a tyme to receyue syluer & to receyue garmentes, olyue trees, vineyardes, oxen, shepe menseruauntes & maid seruauntes?

¹² And one of hys seruauntes sayde: naye my Lorde kyng. Elizeus the Prophet that is in Israell, he telleth the kynge of Israel the wordes that thou speakest in thy slepynge chambre.

¹ It happened, that in the syxte yeare the fyfth daye of the syxte moneth I sat in my house, & the Lordes of the councell of Iuda with me: and the hande of the lord God fell euen there vpon me.

¹ There resorted vnto me certayne of the elders of Israel, and satte doune by me.

¹ In the .xvij. yeare the .x. day of the .v. Moneth, it happened, that certayne of the elders of Israel came vnto me, for to aske councell at the Lord, and sat them doune by me.

³¹ These come vnto the, after the maner of a great people: yea my people syt doune before the, and heare thy wordes, but they do not there after: for in theyr mouthes they shewe them selues, as though they were feruent, but their herte goeth after theyr owne couetous lucre.

³² And he sayed vnto them, Go ye and tell that foxe, beholde I caste oute deuyls, & heale the people to day and to morowe, and the third daye I make an ende.
