¹⁶ Then sayde Dauid vnto hym: thy bloude vpon thyne owne head. For thyne own mouth hath testyfyed agaynste the sayinge: I haue slayne the Lordes anoynted.

⁵ For verily the bloude of you wherin youre lyues are wyl I require: Euen of the hand of all beastes wyll I requyre it, and of the hande of man and of the hand of euerye mannes brother wyll I requyre the lyfe of man: ⁶ so that he whych sheadeth mans bloud shal haue his bloud shed by man againe: for God made man after hys owne lykenesse.

⁹ Whosoeuer curseth his father or mother shal dye for it, his bloud on his head, because he hath cursed hys father or mother.

¹¹ If a man lye wyth hys fathers wyfe and vncouer hys fathers secreates, they shall both dye for it, their bloud be vpon their headdes. ¹² If a man lye wyth his daughter in law they shal dye both of them: they haue wrought abhominacion, their bloud vpon their headdes. ¹³ If a man lye wyth mankynde after the maner as with woman kynde, they haue both commytted an abhominacion & shal dye for it. Their bloud be vpon their heades.

²⁸ And when it afterward came to Dauids eare, he sayde: I and my kyngedom are gyltelesse before the Lorde for euer, concernyng the bloude of Abner the sonne of Ner. ²⁹ It fal therfore on the head of Ioab and on al hys fathers house: that the house of Ioab be neuer wythoute one or other that hath runnyng yssues or wythout lepers and goers on crouches, and that fal on the swerde, and that lacke bread.

³² And the Lorde brynge hys bloude vpon his owne heade, for he smote two men ryghteouser and better then he, and slue them with the swearde, my father vnwetynge: euen Abner the sonne of Ner capitayne of the hoste of Israel, and Amasa the sonne of Iether captayne of the hoste of Iuda. ³³ And their bloude returne vpon the heade of Ioab, and on the heade on hys sede for euer. And prosperyte be vnto Dauid, and vnto hys seade, and vnto hys house, and vnto hys seate, of the Lorde for euer.

³⁷ For be thou sure of it, the daye thou goest out and passest ouer the ryuer of Cedron, thou shalt dye for it, and thy bloud shalbe on thine owne heade.

²² And he sayde to him: Of thyne owne mouthe iudge I the thou euil seruaunt. Knowest thou that I am a strayte man takyng vp that I layde not doune, and reapyng that I did not sowe?
