⁴ O (yf they wolde do thys) I shulde heale theyr sores: yea wyth al my herte wolde I loue them: so that my wrath shuld cleane be turned awaye from them.

²⁶ & sayde: If ye wyll herken vnto the voyce of the Lord your god, & wyl do that which is ryght in his syght & wyl geue an eare vnto hys commaundementes, and kepe all hys ordynaunces: than wyll I put none of these diseases vpon the whych I brought vpon the Egypcyans, for I am the Lord thy surgione.

⁴ and sayed vnto Moses: take al the heades of the people, and hange them vp vnto the Lorde agaynste the sunne, that the wrathe of the Lorde maye turne away from Israel.

¹¹ Phinehes the sonne of Eleazar the sonne of Aaron the prieste, hathe turned myne anger awaye from the chyldren of Israel, bycause he was gelouse for my sake amonge them that I had not consumed the chyldren of Israel in my gelousy.

⁷ It was not bicause of the multitude of you aboue al nations, that the Lord had lust vnto you and chose you. For ye were fewest of all nations. ⁸ But bycause the Lord loued you & bicause he would kepe the oth whych he hadde sworne vnto your fathers, therfore he brought you out of Egypt with a mighty hande and deliuered you out of the house of bondage: euen from the hande of Pharao, kynge of Egypt.

³⁸ But he was so mercifull, that he forgaue their misdedes, and destroyed them not. Yea, many a tyme turned he hys wrathe awaye, and wolde not suffre hys whole dyspleasure to aryse.

¹ So that then thou shalt saye: O Lord I thanke the, for thou wast displeased at me, but thou haste refrained thy wrath, & hast mercy vpon me.

¹⁸ But yf I may se his right way againe, I make hym whole, I lede him and restore him vnto them, whome he maketh ioyfull, and that were sorye for him.

²² O ye shrinkynge chyldren, turne agayne, (sayinge: lo, we are thyne, for thou arte the Lorde oure God:) And so shall I heale your bacturnynges.

⁶ Wherfore a lyon out of the wood shall hurte them, and a wolfe in the euenyng shall destroy them. The cat of the mountayne shal lye lurking by their cities, to teare in peces al them, that come thereoute. For theyr offences are manye, and theyr departynge awaye is greate.

²² for there is no more Tryacle at Galaad, & there is no Physycyen, that can heale the hurte of my people.

⁷ Doutles oure owne wickednesse rewarde vs: But Lorde do thou accordinge to thy name, though oure transgressyons and synnes be many.

¹⁴ Heale me, O Lord, and I shall be whole: saue thou me, and I shalbe saued, for thou art my prayse.

⁶ Beholde (saieth the Lorde) I will heale their woundes, and make them whole: I wyll open them the treasure of peace and trueth.

¹ In their aduersite they shal seke me, and said: come, let vs turne againe to the lord: for he hathe smyten vs, & he shall heale vs:

⁷ My people had no lust to turne vnto me, their prophetes laye the yocke vpon them, but they ease them not of their burthen.

¹⁷ for the Lorde thy GOD is with the, it is he that hath power to saue: he hath a specyall pleasure in the, & a maruelous loue towarde the: yea, he reioyseth ouer the wyth gladnesse.

¹² When Iesus heard that he sayed vnto them: The whole neade not the Phisicion, but they that are sicke. ¹³ Go, and learne, what that meaneth: I haue pleasure in mercye, & not in offerynge. For I am not come to cal the ryghtuouse but the synners to repentaunce.

²⁴ but are iustifyed frelye by hys grace thorowe the redempcion that is in Christe Iesus,

¹⁹ For God was in Christe, and made agrement betwene the worlde and hym selfe, and imputed not theyr synnes vnto them, & hathe committed to vs the preachynge of the atonnement. ²⁰ Nowe then are we messengers in the roume of Christ: euen as thoughe God dyd beseche you thorowe vs: So praye we you in Christes stede, that ye be atone with God, ²¹ for he hath made hym to be synne for vs, whiche knewe no synne, that we by hys meanes should be that ryghtuousnes whiche before God is allowed.

⁶ to the prayse of the glory of hys grace, wherewith he hath made vs accepted in the beloued.

⁴ But God whiche is ryche in mercye thorow his great loue wherewith he loued vs, ⁵ euen when we were dead by synne, hath quickened vs together in Christ (for by grace are ye saued) ⁶ and hath rayseth vs vp together, & made vs sitte together in heauenly thynges thorowe Christ Iesu, ⁷ for to shewe in tymes to come the excedinge riches of hys grace in kyndnes to vswarde in Christe Iesus. ⁸ For by grace are ye made safe thorowe fayth, and that not of youre selues. For it is the gyfte of God, ⁹ and commeth not of workes, leste anye man should bost him selfe.

⁹ whiche saued vs and called vs with an holye callynge, not accordynge to hys owne purpose & grace whiche grace was geuen vs thorowe Christe before the worlde was,

⁴ But after that the kyndnes and loue of our sauyoure God to man warde appered,
