¹ The heauy burthen vpon the valley of vysyons. What haste thou there to do, that thou clymmest vp into the house toppe,

¹⁷ And God herde the voice of the chyld. And the angel of god called Hagar out of heauen and sayd vnto her: What ayleth the Hagar? Feare not, for god hath herde the voyce of the chyld where he lyeth.

⁸ When thou buyldest a new house, thou shalt make a batelment vnto the rouffe, that thou lade not bloude vpon thyne house, yf any man fal therof.

²³ And they turned their faces & sayde vnto Micah, what ayleth the, that thou makeste an outcrye:

¹ And the child Samuel ministred vnto the Lord Eli: & the word of the Lorde was precious in those dayes, for there was none open vision.

⁵ And behold Saul came followyng his oxen oute of the felde, & asked what ayled the people to wepe. And they told hym the tydynges of the men of Iabes.

⁵ And the kynge sayde vnto her: what ayleth the? & she aunswered. I am a wydow, and myne husbande is deade.

²⁸ Then sayde the kyng to her: what ayleth the? And she aunswered: thys woman here sayde to me, brynge thy sonne, and let vs eate hym to daye, and we wyll eate myne to morowe?

⁵ What ayled the, O thou sea, that thou fleddest so thou Iordan, that thou turnedest backe?

² The hylles stande about Ierusalem, euen so standeth the Lorde rounde about hys people, from this tyme forthe for euermore.

¹⁹ He sheweth hys woorde vnto Iacob, hys statutes and ordinaunces vnto Israel. ²⁰ He hath not dealte so with all the Heathen, neither haue they knowlege of hys lawes. Prayse the euerlastyng.

¹⁸ Wher no Prophete is ther the people perysh: but wel is hym that kepeth the law.

¹ Thys is the heauy burthen of Babilon, whiche Esai the sonne of Amos dyd se.

³ In their stretes were they girded aboute with sacke clothe. In al the toppes of their houses and stretes was there nothinge but mourninge and wepinge.

¹³ Beholde (sayeth the Lorde) I will come vpon you, that dwell in the valleyes, rockes & feldes, & saye: Tush: who will make vs afrayed? or who will come into oure houses?

³⁸ Vpon all the house toppes and stretes of Moab, there shal be mournynge: For I wyll breake Moab lyke an vnprofytable vessell sayeth the Lord.

¹² Let the people aryse, & get them to the valleye of Iosaphat, for there wyll I sit, & iudge all Heathen rounde about.

¹⁴ In the valleye appoynted, there shalbe many, many people: for the daye of the Lorde is nye in the valleye appoynted.

⁶ Therfore youre vysyon shallbe turned to night, & youre prophecyenge to darckness. The Sunne shall go downe ouer those prophetes, and the daye shalbe darcke vnto them.

² Surelye verye muche. Fyrste vnto them was commytted the word of God.

⁴ whiche are the Israelites. To whom pertayneth the adoption, and the glory, and the couenauntes, & the lawe that was geuen, & the seruice of God, & the promises: ⁵ whose also are the fathers & they of whom (as concerninge the flesh) Christe came, whiche is God ouer al thynges blessed for euer. Amen.
