¹² Theyr houses with their landes and wyues shall be turned vnto straungers, when I stretche oute myne hande vpon the inhabitours of this land, sayeth the Lord.

³⁰ thou shalt be betrawthed vnto a wyfe, and another shal lye with her. Thou shalt buylde and house & another shal dwell therin. Thou shalt plante a vyneard, & shalt not make it comen. ³¹ Thyne oxe shalbe slayne before thyne eyes, and thou shalt not eate therof. Thyne asse shalbe vyolentlye taken awaye euen bofore thy face, and shall not be restored the agayne. Thy shepe shalbe geuen vnto thyne enemyes, and no man shall helpe the. ³² Thy sonnes and thy daughters shall be geuen vnto another nacion, and thyne eyes shall se and dase vpon them all daye longe, but shalt haue no myght in thyne hande. ³³ The frute of thy lande and all thy laboures shall a nacion which thou knowest not, eate, and thou shalt but suffre vyolence only & be oppressed alwaye:

³⁹ Thou shalt plante a veynearde & dresse it, but shalt nether drynke of the wyne neither gather of the grapes, for the wormes shall eate it. ⁴⁰ Thou shalt haue olyuetrees in al thy coastes, but shalt not be anoynted with the oyle, for thyne olyue trees shalbe roted out. ⁴¹ Thou shalt get sonnes and daughters, but shalt not haue them: for they shalbe caryed awaye captiue. ⁴² All thy trees and frute of thy lande shalbe marred with blastynge. ⁴³ The straungers that are a monge you shall clyme aboue the vp on hye, and thou shalt come doune beneth alowe.

¹⁶ And Dauid lyfte vp hys eyes & saw the Aungel of the Lorde stand betwene the earth and heauen with a drawen swerde in his hande stretched oute towarde Ierusalem. Then fel Dauid & the elders of Israel clothed in sacke vpon their faces.

²⁵ Therfore is the wrath of the Lorde kyndeled also agaynst his people, and he shaketh hys hande at them: yea he shall smyte so, that the hylles shall tremble. And theyr karcases shall lye in the open stretes, lyke myre. After all thys, the wrathe of God shall not ceasse, but he shall stretche hys hande wyder.

¹² that the Sirians shall laye holde vpon them before, & the Philistines behinde, and so deuoure Israell wyth open mouth. After all thys, the wrath of the Lord shall not ceasse, but yet his hande shall be stretched oute styll.

¹⁷ Therfore shall the Lorde haue no pleasure in their yonge men, neyther fauoure their fatherlesse and wyddowes. For they are all together ypocrytes and wicked, and all their mouthes speake foly. After all this shall not the Lordes wrathe ceasse, but yet his hande shalbe stretched oute still.

²¹ Manasses shall eat Ephraim and Ephraim Manasses, and they both shall eate Iuda. After al this shall not the Lordes wrath cease, but yet shall his hande be stretched oute styll.

⁴ that ye come not among the presonners, or lye amonge the deade? After all this shall not the wrath of the Lord cease, but yet shall hys hande be stretched out styll.

²¹ They shalt buylde houses, and dwell in them: they shall plante vyneyardes, and eate the frute of them. ²² They shall not buylde, and another possesse: they shall not plante, and another eate. But the lyfe of my people shalbe lyke a tree, and so shall the worcke of their handes.

¹⁰ Wherfore I will geue their wyues vnto aleauntes, and their feldes to destroyers. For from the loweste vnto the hyeste, they folowe all fylthy lucre: & from the Prophete vnto the prieste, they deale al with lyes.

²² Beholde al the wemen that are left in the kynge of Iudaes house, shall go out to the kyng of Babylons princes. For they thincke, that thou art disceyued: and that men in whome thou diddest put thy truste, haue gotten the vnder, & set thy fete fast in the mire, and gone their waye from the.

⁴ Daleth. Ie hath bent hys bowe lyke an enemye, he hath fastened his ryght hande as an aduersarye: and euerye thynge that was pleasaunt to se, he hath smyten it downe. He hath poured out hys wrath lyke a fyre, into the tabernacle of the daughter of Syon. ⁵ He. The Lorde is become lyke as it were an enemye, he hath cast downe Israell & all hys places: yee all his stronge holdes hath he destroyed, & fylled the daughter of Iuda wyth moch sorow and heuynesse.

⁸ Heth. The Lorde thought to breake downe the walles of the daughter Sion, he spred out his lyne, & drewe not in his hande, tyll he had destroyed them. Therfore mourne the turrettes and the broken walles together.

³ Agaynst me onely he turneth hys hande, and layeth it euer vpon me.

³ We are become carefull and fatherlesse, and oure mothers are as the wydowes.

¹¹ The wyues are raueshed in Syon, and the maydens in the cytyes of Iuda.

¹³ Theyr goodes shalbe spoyled, and theyr houses layed waste: they shall buylde houses, and not dwel in them: they shal plant vyneyardes, but not drinck the wyne, therof.
