¹³ They sat them doune by hym also vpon the grounde .vij. dayes and .vij. nightes. Nether was there eny of them that spake one worde vnto hym, for they sawe that hys payne was verye greate.

⁵ & called the lyght the daye, & the darcknesse the nyght: and so of the euenyng & mornyng was made the fyrst daye.

⁸ And God called the fyrmament Heauen. And so of the euenynge and mornyng was made the seconde daye.

¹⁰ And when they came to the felde of Atad beyonde Iordane, there they made great & exceadyng sore lamentacion. And he mourned for his father .vij. daies.

³ When I hearde thys, I rent my clothes and my rayment, and plucte of the hearre of my heade, and of my bearde, and sate mournyng.

⁴ When I hearde these wordes, I sat me doune and wepte, and mourned two dayes, & fasted and prayed before the God of heauen

² Yf we beginne to commen with the peraduenture thou wilt be dyscontent, but who can withhold him selfe from speakinge?

⁴ Thou heldest myne eyes wakyng, I was so feble, that I coulde not speake.

²⁶ At that time shal their gates mourne & complayne, and they shall sitte as desolate folck vpon the earth.

¹ Bvt as for the (O daughter thou virgin Babylon) Thou shalt syt in the dust thou shalt sit vpon the grounde, & not in a trone (O thou mayden of Chaldea.) Thou shalt no more be called tender and pleasaunt.

¹⁵ And so in the begynnynge of the moneth Abib, I came to the presoners, that dwelt by the water of Cobar, and remayned in that place, where they were: And so contynued I amonge them seuen dayes, beinge verye sory.
