³ Behold, thou hast bene a teacher of manye, and hast comforted the wery handes.

¹⁹ For I know him that he wyl commaunde his chyldren & his houshold after him, that they kepe the way of the Lord, to do after ryght & conscience that the Lord may brynge vpon Abraham that he hath promysed hym.

²⁸ Moreouer charge Iosua and courage him & bolden hym. For he shal go ouer before hys people, & he shall deuyde the lande which thou shalt se vnto them.

²² and helde the feast of vnleuended bread seuen dayes with ioye: for the Lord had made them glad, and turned the herte of the king of Assur vnto them, so that the handes were strengthed in the worcke of the house of God, whiche is the God of Israel.

⁵ I shoulde comforte you wyth my mouth, and release youre payne wyth the talkyng of my lyppes.

²¹ The lyppes of the rightuous fed a whole multitude, but foles shal die in their owne folye.

⁷ A wyse mouth poureth out knowledge, but the herte of the folysh doth not so.

²¹ Who so hath a wyse vnderstanding, is called to councel but he that canne speake faire getteth more riches.

³ And therfore strengthen the weake handes, and comforte the feble knees.

⁴ The Lorde God hath geuen me a wel learned tunge, so that I can comforte them whiche are troubled, yea & that in due ceason. He waked myne eare vp by tymes in the mornynge (as the scolemasters do) that I myght herken.

²² Seynge that with youre lyes ye discomforte the herte of the ryghteous, whome I haue not discomforted: Agayne. For so muche as ye corage the hande of the wycked, so that he maye not turne from hys wicked waye, and lyue:

³² but I haue prayed for the, that thy faith fayle not. And when thou arte conuerted, strengthe thy brethren.

⁴³ And ther appered an aungell vnto him from heauen, confortinge him.

²⁹ Let no fylthy communication procede out of your mouthes: but that whiche is good to edefye wyth all, when nede is: that it maye haue fauoure with the hearers.

⁶ Let youre speache be alwayes well sauoured and poudred with salte, that ye maye knowe, howe to answere euery man.
