³ Euen so haue I laboured whole monethes longe (but in vayne) and manye a carefull nyght haue I tolde.

⁷ And now that I am full of paine, and al that I haue destroyed

² O that I were as I was in the monethes by past, & in the daies when God preserued me:

⁶ I am wery of gronyng euery nyght wash I my bedde, and water my couche wyth my teares.

⁵ Behold, thou hast made my dayes a span longe, and my lyfe as it were nothynge before the. O how vayne are all men liuing? Selah

¹⁴ Thus I haue considred all the thynges that come to passe vnder the Sunne, & so, they are all but vanitie & vexacion of mynde.
