³⁶ And he sayde vnto them: but nowe he that hath a wallet let him take it vp and lykewyse his scrip. And he that hath no swerde, let him sell his cote and bye one.

²² and ye shal be hated of all men for my name. But he that endureth to the ende shalbe saued. ²³ When they persecute you in one citye, flye into another. I tell you for a truthe, ye shall not fynishe all the cityes of Israel, tyl the sonne of man become. ²⁴ The discyples is not aboue his master: nor yet the seruaunt aboue his Lorde. ²⁵ It is ynough for the discyple to be as his master is, and that the seruaunt be as hys Lorde is. If they haue called the good man of the house him selfe belzebub: how muche more shal they call them of his housholde so?

²⁰ Remember the saiyng that I sayde vnto you: the seruaunt is not greater then the lorde, yf they haue persecuted me, so wyll they persecute you: yf they haue kept my saiynges, so wyll they kepe yours.

³³ These wordes haue I spoken vnto you, that in me you myght haue peace. For in the worlde shall you haue tribulacyon: but be of good cheare. I haue ouercome the worlde.

¹⁴ For ye brethren became folowers of the congregacions of God, which in Iewrye are in Christ Iesu, for ye haue suffred lyke thinges of your kinsmen, as we our selues haue suffred of the Iewes. ¹⁵ Which as they kylled the Lorde Iesus and theyr owne prophetes, euen so haue they persecuted vs, and God they please not, and are contrarye to all men,

⁴ For verelye when I was wyth you, I tolde you before that we shoulde suffer tribulacion, euen as it came to passe, and as ye know.

¹ For as much as Christ hath suffred for vs in the fleshe, arme your selues lykewise wyth the same mynde: for he which suffereth in the fleshe ceaseth from synne,
