¹ Paule and Tymotheus the seruauntes of Iesu Christe. To all the sainctes in Christe Iesu, which are at Philippos, wyth the Bishops and Deacons.

³⁴ As a man whiche is gone into a straunge countreye, and hath left hys house, and geuen authorite to his seruauntes, and euerye man hys worke, and commaunded the porter to watche.

²⁶ If any man minister vnto me, let hym folowe me, and where I am, there shal also my minister be. And yf any man minister vnto me, hym wyll my father honoure.

²⁰ It is written in the boke of Psalmes: His habitacion be voide, and no man be dwelling ther in: and his Byshoprycke let another take.

¹ In those dayes as the numbre of the disciples grewe, ther arose a a grudge amonge the Grekes agaynste the Hebrues, because their widdowes were despysed in the dayly ministracion. ² Then the twelue called the multitude of the dysciples together and saide: it is not mete that we shoulde leaue the worde of God and serue at the tables. ³ Wherfore brethren, loke ye out amonge you seuen men of honeste reporte, and full of the holye ghoste and wysdome, whyche we maye apoint to this nedfull busines. ⁴ But we wyl geue our selues continually to prayer, and to the ministracion of the word. ⁵ And the saiynge pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephan a man full of faieth and of the holye ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nichanor, and Timon, and Permenas, and Nicholas a conuerte of Antioche. ⁶ Whiche they set before the Apostles, and they praied and laide their handes on them. ⁷ And the worde of God encreased, and the numbre of the disciples multiplyed in Hierusalem greatly, and a great companye of the priestes were obedient to the faith.

¹³ Then Ananias aunswered: Lord, I haue heard by many of this man, how much euyll he hath done to thy sainctes at Ierusalem,

¹ Then came he to Derba and to Lystra. And beholde a certayne disciple was there named Timotheus, a womans sonne whiche was a Ieweas and beleued: but hys father was a Greke. ² Of whom reported well, the brethren of Lystra and Iconium. ³ The same Paule woulde that he shoulde go forthe with hym, and toke and circumcysed him, because of the Iewes whiche were in those quarters: for they knewe all, that hys father was a Greke.

¹² and from thence to Phylyppos, which is the chiefe citie in the partes of Macedonia, and a fre citie. We were in that citie abydynge certayne dayes. ¹³ And on the Saboth dayes we wente out of the citie besydes a ryuer, where men were wonte to praye. And we sate doune, and spake vnto the women which resorted thyther. ¹⁴ And a certayne woman named Lydia a seller of purple of the citie of Thiatyra, which worshypped God, gaue vs audience. Whose hart the Lorde opened, that she attended vnto the thynges whiche Paul spake. ¹⁵ When she was baptysed and her housholde, she besoughte vs saiyng: Yf ye thynke that I beleue on the Lord come into my house, and abyde there. And she constrayned vs.

²⁸ Take hede therfore vnto youre selues, and to all the flocke wherof the holy ghoste hath made you ouersears, to rule the congregacyon of God, which he hath purchased wt hys bloude.

¹ Paule the seruaunte of Iesus Christ called to be an Apostle, put aparte to preache the Gospel of God,

⁷ To all you at Rome beloued of God, and sainctes by callynge Grace be wyth you and peace from God our father, and from our Lorde Iesus Christ.

¹ Paule by vocacyon an Apostle of Iesus Christe thorow the wyll of God, & brother Sostenes. ² Vnto the congregacyon of GOD whiche is at Corinthum. To them that are sanctifyed in Christ Iesu, saynctes by callyng with al that call on the name of oure Lorde Iesus Christe in euerye place, bothe of theyrs and of oures.

¹⁰ If Timotheus come, se that he be with you. For he worketh the worke of the Lorde as I do.

¹⁵ Wherfore euen I (after that I hearde of the faythe whiche ye haue in the Lorde Iesu, and loue vnto all the saynctes)

¹ Paule an Apostle of Iesu Christe by the wyll of God, and brother Tymotheus. ² To the sainctes, whiche are at Colossa, and brethren that beleue in Christe. Grace be wyth you and peace from God oure father, and from the Lorde IESVS Christe.

¹ Paule, Siluanus, and Tymotheus. Vnto the congregation of the Thessalonyans in God the father, and in the lord Iesus Christ. Grace be with you, & peace from God our father, & from the Lord Iesus Christ.

² but euen after that we had suffred before, and were shamefullye entreated at Philippos (as ye wel know) then were we bolde in our God to speake vnto you the Gospel of God wyth muche stryuynge.

¹ Paule, Syluanus & Timotheus. Vnto the congregacyon of the Thessalonians, whiche are in God oure father, and in the Lorde Iesus Christe.

¹⁰ when he shall come to be gloryfyed in hys saynctes, and to be made marueylous in all them that beleue: because oure testimonye that we had vnto you, was beleued euen the same daye that we preached it.

² Vnto Timothe hys naturall sonne in the fayth. Grace, mercye, and peace from God oure father and Lorde Iesus Christe oure Lorde.

¹ Thys is a true saiyng. If a man couete the offyce of a byshop, he desyreth a good worke. ² Yea and a bishop muste be fautlesse the husband of one wyfe, sober discrete, hone style apparelled, harberous, apt to teache,

⁸ Lykewyse muste the Deacons be honest, not double tonged, not geuen vnto much drinkynge, neyther vnto fylthy lucre:

¹⁰ And let them fyrste be proued, and then lette them mynyster, yf they be founde fautlesse. ¹¹ Euen so muste theyr wyues be honeste, not euyll speakers, but sober and faythfull in all thynges. ¹² Let the deacons be the husbandes of one wyfe, and suche as rule theyr chyldren well, and theyr owne housholdes. ¹³ For they that mynyster wel, get them selues good degree and greate lybertye in the faythe whiche is in Christ Iesu.

¹ Paule the seruaunt of God and an Apostle of Iesu Christ, to preache the faythe, of Goddes elect, & the knowledge of that truethe, whiche is after Godlynes,

⁷ For a byshoppe must be fautelesse, as it becommeth the mynister of God: not stubborne, not angrye, no dronkarde, no fyghter, not geuen to fylthy lucre:

²³ knowe the brother Tymothe, whome we haue sent from vs, with whom (yf he come shortly) I wyll se you.

¹ Iames the seruaunte of God and of the Lorde Iesus Christ sendeth gretyng to the twelue trybes whiche are scattered here and there.

²⁵ For ye were as shepe goynge astraye: but are nowe returned to the shepeherde and byshop of your soules.

¹ Simon Peter a seruaunte, and an Apostle of Iesus Christe, to them whyche haue obtained lyke precyous faith wyth vs in the rightuousnes that commeth of oure God and sauiour Iesu Christ.

¹ Iudas the seruaunte of Iesus Christ, the brother of Iames. To them whyche are called & sanctyfied in God the father, and preserued in Iesu Christe.

¹ The Reuelacyon of Iesus Christe which God gaue vnto hym, for to shew vnto his seruauntes thinges whiche muste shortely come to passe. And he sent and shewed by hys angel vnto hys seruaunt Iohn

²⁰ and the misery of the .vij. starres which thou sawest in my right hande, and the .vij. golden candelstickes. The .vij. starres are the messengers of the .vij. congregacions: And the .vij. candelstyckes which thou sawest are the .vij. congregacyons.

⁸ And vnto the angell of the congregacion of Smyrna wryte: These thynges sayeth he that is fyrst, and the last, which was dead & is alyue.

¹² And to the messenger of the congregacion in Pergamos wryte: Thys sayth he, whych hath the sharpe sweard, wyth two edges.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feete, to worshippe him. And he sayed vnto me, se thou do it not. For I am thy felowe seruaunt, & one of thy brethren, & of them that haue the testimony of Iesus. Worshippe God. For the testimony of Iesus is the spirit of prophesye.

⁹ And he sayed vnto me: se thou do it not, for I am thy felowe seruaunte, & the felowe seruaunte of thy brethren the Prophetes, & of them which kepe the sayinges of thys boke. But worshyppe God.
