1 My sonne, if thou wilt receyue my wordes, & kepe my commaundementes by the, 2 that thyne eare may herken vnto wisdome, applie thyne hert then to vnderstanding. 3 For if thou cryest after wysdome, & callest for knowledge: 4 if thou sekest after her as after money, & dyggest for her as for treasure: 5 then shalt thou vnderstande the feare of the Lord, & fynde the knowlege of God. 6 For it is the Lord that geueth wysdome, out of hys mouth commeth knowlege & vnderstandyng. 7 He preserueth the welfare of the righteous, & defendeth them that walke innocently: 8 he kepeth them in the right path, & preserueth the waye of his saynctes. 9 Then shalt thou vnderstande righteousnesse, iudgement and equite, yea, & euery good path.

Proverbs 8:10-11

10 Receiue my doctrine therfore, & not siluer: & my knowledge, more then fyne golde. 11 For wysdome is more worth then precious stones, yea, all the thinges that thou canst desire, are not to be compared vnto it.
