²⁴ The Lorde ordreth euery mans goinges, for what is he that vnderstandeth his owne wayes?

⁴ Shewe me thy wayes, O Lord, & teach me thy pathes.

¹² Whatsoeuer he be that feareth the Lorde he shall shewe hym the waye that he hathe chosen.

²³ The Lorde ordreth a good mans goynge, and hath pleasure in hys waye.

⁸ The wysdome of hym that hath vnderstanding is, to take hede vnto hys way but the folyshnes of the vnwyse disceaueth.

⁹ A man deuyseth awaye in his herte, but it is the Lorde that ordreth hys goynges.

⁶ For I shall send him among those ypocrytish people, amonge the people that haue deserued my disfauour shall I send him: that he maye vtterly robbe them, spoyle them, and tread them doune lyke the myre in the strete. ⁷ How be it, his meaninge is not so, neither thincketh his hert of this fasshion. But he ymagineth only, how he may ouerthrowe and destroye muche people,

²³ Now I knowe (O Lorde) that it is not in mans power to ordre hys owne wayes, or to rule hys owne steppes and goinges.

²³ but hast magnyfyed thy selfe aboue the Lorde of heauen, so that the vessels of hys house were broughte before the, that thou, and thy Lordes, with thy quene and concubynes, myght drincke wyne thereoute: And hast praysed the Idoles of syluer and golde, copper and yron, of wode and stone: As for the God in whose hande consysteth thy breth and all thy wayes: thou haste not loaued hym.

²⁸ For in him we lyue, moue, and haue our beyng, as certayne of your own Poetes sayd. For we are also hys generacion.
