¹⁶ The man that wandereth out of the way of wysdome, shall remayne in the congregacion of the dead.

¹⁴ They lye in the hell like shepe, death shall gnawe vpon theim, and the righteous shall haue dominacion of theim in the mornynge by tymes: their strength shall consume, and hell shalbe their dwellynge.

⁵ As for suche as turne backe vnto their owne wickednesse, the Lorde shall leade them forth with the euell doers: but peace be vpon Israell.

¹⁸ For her house is enclined vnto death, & her pathes vnto hel. ¹⁹ Al thei that go in vnto her, come not agayn, neither take they holde of the way of lyfe.

²⁶ For many one hath she wounded and cast doune yea, many a stronge man hath she slayne. ²⁷ Her house is the waye vnto hell, where men go doune into the chambers of death.

¹⁸ But they consyder not that death is there, and that her gestes go doune to hell.

²⁰ He that goeth in the company of wyse men, shalbe wyse: but who so is a companyon of foles, shalbe hurte.

⁶ whiche starte a backe from the Lord, & neyther seke after the Lorde, nor regarde him.

¹⁹ And this is the condempnacion, that light is come into the worlde, and the men loued darknes more then lyght, because their dedes were euyll. ²⁰ For euerye man that euyll doth, hateth the light: nether commeth to the lyghte: lest his dedes shoulde be reproued.

¹ And you hath he quickened also that were deade in treaspas & synne,

⁴ For it is not possible that they whiche were ones lyghted, and haue tasted of the heauenly gyft, and were become partakers of the holy ghoste, ⁵ and haue tasted of the good worde of God, and of the worlde to come: ⁶ yf they fall, shoulde be renued agayne vnto repentaunce: for as muche as they haue (as concernynge them selues) crucifyed the sonne of God a freshe makynge a mocke of hym.

²⁶ For yf we synne wyllyngly after that we haue receyued the knowledge of the trueth, ther remayneth no more sacryfyce for synnes, ²⁷ but a fearful lokynge for iudgement, and vyolente fyre, whyche shal deuoure the aduersaryes.

³⁸ But the iuste shall lyue by fayth. And yf he wythdrawe hym selfe my soule shal haue no pleasure in him.

²¹ For it had bene better for them not haue knowen the way of rightuousnes then after they haue knowen it to turne from the commaundementes geuen vnto them. ²² It is happened to them accordinge to the true prouerbe: The dogge is turned to his vomet againe, and the sowe that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire.

¹⁹ They went out from vs, but they were not of vs. For yf they had bene of vs: they woulde no doubte, haue continued wyth vs. But that fortuned, that it myghte appeare, that they were not of vs.

¹² These are spottes which of youre kyndnes feast together, wythoute feare, fedyng themselues. Cloudes they are wythout water, caryed aboute of wyndes, and trees wythout frute at gatherynge tyme, twyse dead & plucked vp by rotes.
