¹⁰ If thou be ouersene & negligent in tyme of nede, then is thy strength but smale

¹ Then thought Dauid in his hert: I maye peryshe one daye or other by the handes of Israell. There is no better for me, then to flee into the lande of the Philistines, that Saul of very dispaire to finde me, may cease to seke me any more in all the coastes of Israhel: for so I maye escape his hande.

⁵ But nowe that the plage is come vpon the thou shrenkest awaye: now that it hath touched thy self, thou arte faynt harted.

²⁸ Knowest thou not, or hast thou not hearde, that the euerlastynge God the Lorde whiche made all the corners of the earth, is nether weery nor faynt, & that his wysdome can not be comprehended, ²⁹ but that he geueth strength vnto the weery, and power vnto the faynte? ³⁰ Chyldren are weery and faynt, and the strongest men fall: ³¹ But vnto them that haue the Lorde before their eyes, shal strength be encreased, Aegles wynges shall growe vpon them: When they runne they shall not fal: and when they go, they shal not be weery.

⁴⁶ Be not faynte herted, and feare not at euery rumoure that shalbe herde in the lande: for euery yeare bringeth new tydinges, yee straunge wyckednes and lordshyppe.

⁸ For hys disciples were gone awaye vnto the town to bye meate.

¹ Therfore seynge that we haue suche an offyce, euen as mercye is come on vs, we faynte not:

¹³ Wherfore I desyre that ye faynte not because of my tribulations for your sakes, whiche is your prayse.

³ Consydre therfore how that he endureth such speakyng agaynst him of synners least ye should be weryed and faynte in youre myndes. ⁴ For ye haue not yet resysted vnto bloude sheding stryuynge agaynst synne. ⁵ And ye haue forgotten consolacyon, which speaketh vnto you as vnto chyldren: my sonne despyse not the chastenynge of the Lorde, neyther faynte when thou arte rebuked of hym:

³ and dydest washe thy selfe. And hast pacience, and for my names sake hast labored and hast not faynted:

¹³ I know thy workes, and where thou dwellest euen where Sathans seate is, and thou kepest my name, and hast not denyed my fayth. And in my dayes, Antypas was a faithful wytnes of myne whych was slaine among you, where Sathan dwelleth.
