⁷ His mouth is ful of cursyng, fraude & disceate vnder hys tonge is trauayle and sorowe.

³⁵ He conceyueth trauayle, he beareth myschefe, and hys bodye bryngeth forth disceate.

¹² When wyckednesse is swete in his mouth, he hydeth it vnder his tonge.

⁹ For there is no faithfulnesse in their mouthes: they dessemble in their hertes: their throt is an open sepulcher: with their tonges thy disceaue.

¹⁴ Beholde, he trauyleth wyth mischefe, he hath conceaued vnhappinesse, and broughte forth a lye.

² Euery man telleth lyes too his neyghbour, they do but flatter with their lyppes and dissemble in their herte.

³ The woordes of hys mouth are vnrighteousnes and disceate, he will not be learned to do good.

⁶ Though he came in to se, yet meaned he falsede in his hert, heapyng myscheyfe vpon hym selfe.

⁴ Thou louest to speake al wordes that may do hurte. O thou false tonge.

²¹ Their mouthes are softer then butter, & yet haue they battayll in theyr mynde: theyr wordes are smoother then oyle, and yet be they very swerdes.

³ The vngodly are froward, euen from their mothers wombe: as soone as they be borne, they go a stray and speake lyes.

¹² For the synne of their mouth, for the wordes of their lyppes, & because of their pryde, let them be taken: and why? their preachyng is of cursing and lyes.

⁴ Their deuyce is only how to put hym out, their delite is in lyes: they geue good wordes wyth their mouth, but curse wyth the herte. Selah.

³ Which whet their tonges lyke a sweard, and shote wyth their veneymous words like as with arowes.

⁸ Corrupte are they, and speake blasphemyes maliciouslye, proude and presumpteous are their wordes.

³ They sharpen their tonges lyke a serpent: adders poyson is vnder their lippes. Selah.

⁹ Let the mischief of their owne lippes fall vpon the head of theym, that compase me about.

⁸ Whose mouth talketh of vanitie, & theyr right hande is a right hande of falsede,

¹¹ Saue me, and deliuer me from the hande of straunge chyldren, whose mouth talketh of vanitie, and their ryght hande is a ryghte hande of falsede.

⁶ Who so hoordeth vp ryches wyth the disceatfulnes of his tonge, he is a foole, and lyke vnto them that seke their own death.

⁸ Remoue fro me vanite and lyes: geue me neither pouerte nor ryches, onely graunte me a necessary lyuyng.

⁴ Noman regardeth righteousnes, and noman iudged truely. Euery man hopeth in vayne thinges, and ymagyneth disceyte, conceyueth werynesse, and bringeth forth euyl.

³ They bende theyr tunges lyke bowes, to shute oute lyes. As for the trueth, they may nothynge awaye with all in the worlde. For they go from one wyckednes to another, & hold nothinge of me, sayeth the Lorde.

⁶ They haue set theyr stole in the myddest of dysceyte, and for very dyssemblynge falshede they wyll not knowe me, sayeth the Lorde.

³⁴ O generation of vipers, how can ye say well, when ye your selues are euil? For of the aboundaunce of the herte, the mouth speaketh.

¹³ Theyr throte is an open sepulchre, with theyr tonges they haue disceyued, the poyson of aspes is vnder their lippes. ¹⁴ Whose mouthes are full of curssyng and bytternes.

⁶ and the tonge is fyre, and a worlde of wickednes. So is the tong set among our members, that it defyleth the whole body and setteth a fyre all that we haue of nature, & is it selfe set a fyre euen of hell. ⁷ All the natures of beastes, and of byrdes, and of serpentes, and thynges of the sea, are meked and tamed of the nature of man. ⁸ But the tonge can no man tame. It is an vnrulye euyll ful of deadly poyson.
