⁷ The lawe of the Lorde is a perfecte lawe it quickeneth the soule. The testimonye of the Lorde is true, and geueth wisdome euen vnto babes.

²⁷ All the endes of the worlde shall remembre them selfes, and be turned vnto the Lorde: & all the generacions of the Heithen shal worshippe before hym.

⁴ Shewe me thy wayes, O Lord, & teach me thy pathes.

⁸ O how frendly & rightuous is the Lord, therfore will he teach synners in the way.

⁵ Therfore I confessed my sinne vnto the & hyd not myne vnryghtuousnes. I sayde: I wyll knowledge myne offence and accuse my selfe vnto the Lord, & so thou forgauest me the wickednesse of my synne Selah.

⁸ I wyl enforme the, and shew the the waie wherin thou shalt go I wyll fasten myne eyes vpon the. ⁹ Be not ye now like horses & mules, which haue no vnderstandyng. Whose mouthes thou must hold with bit and bridle, if they wil not obey the. ¹⁰ Great plages shal the vngodly haue, but who so putteth hys trust in the Lorde, mercy shall compasse him on euery syde.

³ speakynge thus one to another: vp let vs go to the hyll of the Lorde, & to the house of the God of Iacob: that he maye shewe vs hys waye, and that we maye walcke in hys pathes. For the lawe shall come out of Syon and the worde of God from Ierusalem,

¹⁰ Harden the hart of thys people, stoppe theyr eares, and shutte theyr eyes, that they se not with theyr eyes, heare not wyth theyr eares, and vnderstande not wyth theyr hertes, and conuerte and be healed.

¹⁸ Moreouer I hearde Ephraim, that was led awaye captyue, complayne on thys maner: O Lorde, thou haste correcte me, and thy chastening haue I receyued, as an vntamed calfe. Conuerte thou me, and I shalbe conuerted, for thou arte my Lorde God:

³ and sayde. Verely I saye vnto you: excepte ye tourne, and become as chyldren, ye cannot enter into the kyngedome of heauen.

³² but I haue prayed for the, that thy faith fayle not. And when thou arte conuerted, strengthe thy brethren.

¹⁵ When they had dyned. Iesus sayd to Simon Peter: Simon Ioanna, louest thou me more then these? He sayd vnto him: ye Lorde thou knowest that I loue the. He saide vnto him: fede me lambes. ¹⁶ He saied to him again the seconde tyme? Simon Ioanna, louest thou me? He saied vnto him: yea Lorde thou knowest that I loue the. ³⁸ Peter sayde vnto them: repent and be baptysed euerye one of you in the name of Iesus Christe for the remission of sinnes, and ye shall receiue the gifte of the holye ghost. ³⁹ For the promyse was made vnto you and to your chyldren, & to all that are a farre, euen as manye as the Lorde oure God shall call. ⁴⁰ And wyth manye other wordes bare he wytnes and exhorted them saiynge: Saue your selues from thys vntowarde generacion. ⁴¹ Then they that gladlye receiued his preachinge, were baptysed, and the same daye there were added vnto them about thre thousande soules.

¹⁹ Repent ye therfore and turne, that youre synnes maye be done awaye. When the tyme of refreshing commeth, which we shall haue of the presence of the Lorde,

¹⁹ and receiued meate, and was conforted. Then was Saul certaine dayes wyth the dyscyples whyche were at Damasco. ²⁰ And straight way he preached Christ in the Synagoges, howe that he was the sonne of God. ²¹ All that heard him, were amased and sayde: is not this he that spoiled them, whiche called on this name in Hierusalem, and came hyther for the intente that he shoulde brynge them bounde vnto the hye priestes? ²² But Saul encreased in strengthe, and confounded the Iewes whiche dwelte at Damasco affirminge that this was verye Christe.

¹⁰ & sayde. O full of all subteltie and disseytfulnes the chylde of the deuyll, and the enemye of all ryghteousnes, thou ceasest not to peruerte the strayghte wayes of the Lorde.

³ And after they were brought on theyr waye by the congregacyon, they passed ouer Phenices and Samaria declarynge the conuersyon of the Gentyls, and they brought great ioye vnto all the brethren.

¹⁸ to open theyr eyes, that they myght turne from darckenes to lyght, and from the power of Satan vnto God: that they maye receiue forgeuenes of synnes, and inheritaunce amonge them whyche are sanctyfyed by fayth in me. ¹⁹ Wherfore kynge Agrippa I was not disobedient vnto the heauenly vision: ²⁰ but shewed fyrst vnto them of Damasco, and at Hierusalem and through out all the coastes of Iewry, and to the gentyls, that they should repent, & tourne to God, and do the ryght workes of repentaunce.

⁸ Neuerthelesse we are of good comforte, and had leuer be absente from the bodye, and to be presente with the Lorde. ⁹ Wherfore whether we be at home or from home, we endeuoure oure selues to please hym. ¹⁰ For we muste all appeare before the iudgement seate of Christ, that euery man maye receyue the workes of hys bodye accordyng to that he hath done, whether it be good or badde? ¹¹ Seynge then that we know, how the Lorde is to be feared, we fare fayre with men. For we are knowen well ynoughe vnto God. I truste also that we are knowen in your consciences. ¹² We prayse not oure selues agayne vnto you, but geue you an occasyon to reioyce of vs that ye maye haue somewhat agaynst them whiche reioyce in the face, and not in the hert, ¹³ For yf we be to feruente, to God we are to feruente. Yf we kepe measure, for youre cause kepe we measure. ¹⁴ For the loue of Christ constrayneth vs, because we thus iudge, yf one be dead, for all that then are all dead, ¹⁵ and that he dyed for all, that they which lyue, shoulde not hence forth lyue vnto them selues, but vnto hym, whiche dyed for them, and rose agayne. ¹⁶ Wherfore hence forthe knowe we no man after the fleshe. In so muche though we haue knowen Christe after the fleshe, nowe hence forth knowe we hym so no more. ¹⁷ Therfore yf anye man be in Christe, he is a newe creature. Olde thynges are passed awaye, beholde all thynges are become newe. ¹⁸ Neuerthelesse all thynges are of God, whiche hath reconcyled vs vnto hym selfe by Iesus Christe, and hath geuen vnto vs the offyce to preache the attonement. ¹⁹ For God was in Christe, and made agrement betwene the worlde and hym selfe, and imputed not theyr synnes vnto them, & hathe committed to vs the preachynge of the atonnement. ²⁰ Nowe then are we messengers in the roume of Christ: euen as thoughe God dyd beseche you thorowe vs: So praye we you in Christes stede, that ye be atone with God,

¹⁹ Brethren yf anye of you erre from the trueth and an other conuerte hym, ²⁰ let the same know that he which conuerted the synner from goyng astraye out of hys waye, shall saue a soule from death, and shall hyde the multytude of synnes.
