¹⁶ Then thought I, to vnderstande this, but it was to harde for me.

⁶ Thy righteousnesse standeth lyke the strong mountaynes, and thy iudgemente lyke the great depe. Thou Lord preseruest both men and beastes.

⁶ Yea euery man walketh as it were a shadow, and disquieth him selfe in vayne: he heapeth vp ryches, and can not tell to whome he gathereth them.

¹⁹ Thy waye was in the sea, and thy pathes in the greate waters, yet coulde noman know thy fotesteppes.

² Cloudes & darkenesse are round about him, righteousnesse & iudgement are the habitacion of hys seate.

² For though I am the least of al, & haue no mans vnderstanding ³ (for I neuer learned wysdom) yet haue I vnderstanding, & am wel infourmed in godly thinges.

¹⁷ I vnderstode of all the workes of god, that it is not impossyble for a man, to attaine vnto the workes that are done vnder the Sunne: and thoughe he bestowe his laboure to seke them oute, yet can he not reach vnto them: yea though a wise man would vndertake to knowe them, yet myght he not fynde them.

³² He shalbe deliuered vnto the gentils, and shalbe mocked, and shalbe dispytefully entreated, and shalbe spitted on, ³³ and when they haue scourged him, they wyll put hym to death, and the thyrde daye he shall ryse agayn. ³⁴ But they vnderstode none of these thynges. And this saiyng was hyd from them. And they perceyued not the thynges whiche were spoken.

¹⁸ They sayd therfore: what is it that he sayeth, after a whyle? we can not tell what he sayth. ¹⁹ Iesus perceyued that they woulde axe him and sayde vnto them. This is it that ye enquyre of amonge your selues that I sayde after a whyle ye shall not se me, and agayne after a whyle ye shall se me.

³³ O the deapnes of the abundaunte wysedome and knoweledge of God: howe vnsearcheable are his iudgementes, and hys wayes paste fyndynge out?
