The words I speak to you all I do not speak of my own accord; it is the Father who remains ever in me, who is performing his own deeds. ¹¹ Believe me, I am in the Father and the Father is in me: — or else, believe because of the deeds themselves. ¹² Truly, truly I tell you, he who believes in me will do the very deeds I do, and still greater deeds than these. For I am going to the Father, ¹³ and I will do whatever you ask in my name, that the Father may be glorified in the Son; ¹⁴ I will do whatever you ask me in my name. ¹⁵ If you love me you will keep my commands, ¹⁶ and I will ask the Father to give you another Helper to be with you for ever, ¹⁷ even the Spirit of truth: the world cannot receive him, because it neither sees nor knows him, but you know him, because he remains with you and will be within you.

³¹ his coming will only serve to let the world see that I love the Father and that I am acting as the Father ordered. Rise, let us be going."
