³ Should your boastings make men hold their peace? When you mock, shall no man make you ashamed?

⁵ For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the language of the crafty.

¹⁵ Will you keep the old way, which wicked men have trodden,

¹ Blessed is the one who doesn't follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path of sinners, or join in with scoffers.

⁴ I have not sat with deceitful men, neither will I go in with hypocrites.

¹⁸ When you saw a thief, you consented with him, and have participated with adulterers.

¹² Look, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches. ¹³ Surely in vain I have cleansed my heart, and washed my hands in innocence, ¹⁴ For all day long have I been plagued, and punished every morning. ¹⁵ If I had said, "I will speak thus;" look, I would have betrayed the generation of your children.

¹⁵ My son, do not walk in the way with them. Keep your foot from their path,

¹² to deliver you from the way of evil, from the men who speak perverse things;

¹⁴ Do not enter into the path of the wicked. Do not walk in the way of evil men.

²⁰ One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.

³³ Do not be deceived. "Bad company corrupts good morals."
