⁹ He rebuked the Sea at the End also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert.

²¹ Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. ²² The children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left.

²⁷ Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it. The LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. ²⁸ The waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen, even all Pharaoh's army that went in after them into the sea. ¹⁵ And the depths of the sea appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, LORD, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.

⁶ He turned the sea into dry land. They went through the river on foot. There, we rejoiced in him.

¹⁹ Your way was through the sea; your paths through the great waters. Your footsteps were not known. ²⁰ You led your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

¹³ He split the sea, and caused them to pass through. He made the waters stand as a heap.

You Jordan, that you turned back? ⁶ You mountains, that you skipped like rams; you little hills, like lambs? ⁷ Tremble, you earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

¹³ To him who divided the Sea at the End apart; for his loving kindness endures forever; ¹⁴ And made Israel to pass through its midst; for his loving kindness endures forever; ¹⁵ But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Sea at the End; for his loving kindness endures forever: ¹⁶ To him who led his people through the wilderness; for his loving kindness endures forever:

¹⁴ They will fly down on the shoulders of the Philistines on the west. Together they will plunder the people of the east. They will extend their power over Edom and Moab, and the people of Ammon will obey them. ¹⁵ The LORD will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt; and with his mighty wind he will wave his hand over the River, and will split it into seven streams, and cause men to march over in sandals. ¹⁶ There will be a highway for the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, like there was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

² Why, when I came, was there no man? When I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it can't redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Look, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst.

¹⁰ Isn't it you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?

¹¹ Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying, Where is he who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who put his holy Spirit in their midst? ¹² who caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses? who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name? ¹³ who led them through the depths, as a horse in the wilderness, so that they did not stumble? ¹⁴ As the livestock that go down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused them to rest; so you led your people, to make yourself a glorious name.

⁴ He rebukes the sea, and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers. Bashan languishes, and Carmel; and the flower of Lebanon languishes.

²⁶ And he said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm.
