²⁰ This is the reward of my adversaries from the LORD, of those who speak evil against my soul.

³² The king said to the Cushite, "Is it well with the young man Absalom?" The Cushite answered, "May the enemies of my lord the king, and all who rise up against you to do you harm, be as that young man is."

⁴⁴ The king said moreover to Shimei, "You know all the wickedness which your heart is privy to, that you did to David my father. Therefore the LORD shall return your wickedness on your own head.

⁵ Then he will speak to them in his anger, and terrify them in his wrath: ⁶ "But I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain."

¹² Do homage in purity, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, when his anger is suddenly kindled. Blessed are all those who take refuge in him.

⁸ Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find all those who hate you. ⁹ You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. The LORD will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them. ¹⁰ You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from among the descendants of Adam. ¹¹ Though they intend evil against you, devising a wicked scheme, they will not succeed. ¹² For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face.

¹⁴ Let them be put to shame and confounded together who seek after my soul to destroy it. Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor who delight in my hurt. ¹⁵ Let them be desolate by reason of their shame that tell me, "Aha. Aha."

¹⁰ For my enemies talk about me. Those who watch for my soul conspire together,

²³ He has brought on them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness. The LORD, our God, will cut them off.

⁵ The LORD is at your right hand. He will crush kings in the day of his wrath. ⁶ He will judge among the nations. He will heap up dead bodies. He will shatter the head throughout a vast territory.

¹⁹ The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Look, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is justified by her children."

²⁴ But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, "This man does not cast out demons, except by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons."

⁶⁶ What do you think?" They answered, "He is worthy of death." ⁶⁷ Then they spit in his face and beat him with their fists, and some slapped him,

³⁹ But Jesus said, "Do not forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me.

²⁷ But bring those enemies of mine who did not want me to reign over them here, and kill them before me.'"

³ Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by God's Spirit says, "Jesus is accursed." No one can say, "Jesus is Lord," but by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁵ who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out, and did not please God, and are hostile to all people; ¹⁶ forbidding us to speak to those who are not Jewish that they may be saved; to fill up their sins always. But wrath has come on them to the uttermost.

¹⁴ Alexander, the coppersmith, did much evil to me. The Lord will repay him according to his works,
