¹ [A Psalm by David.] The LORD is my shepherd; I lack nothing. ² He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. ³ He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. ⁴ Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. ⁵ You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows. ⁶ Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the LORD's house forever.

⁹ Oh fear the LORD, you his holy ones, for there is no lack with those who fear him. ¹⁰ The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.

⁵² But he led forth his own people like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.

¹³ So we, your people and sheep of your pasture, will give you thanks forever. We will praise you forever, to all generations.

¹¹ For the LORD God is a sun and a shield. The LORD will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.

¹¹ He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom. He will gently lead those who have their young.

³ "I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and multiply. ⁴ I will set up shepherds over them, who shall feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be lacking," says the LORD.

¹⁰ Hear the word of the LORD, you nations, and declare it in the islands afar off; and say, "He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as shepherd does his flock."

¹¹ "'For thus says the Lord GOD: "Look, I myself, even I, will search for my sheep, and will seek them out. ¹² As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered abroad, so will I seek out my sheep; and I will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

²³ I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. ²⁴ I, the LORD, will be their God, and my servant David prince among them;" I, the LORD, have spoken it.

² But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come forth to me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.

⁴ He shall stand, and shall shepherd in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God: and they will live, for then he will be great to the farthest parts of the earth.

³³ But seek first the Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

³⁰ For the nations of the world seek after all of these things, but your Father knows that you need these things. ³¹ But seek his Kingdom, and these things will be added to you. ³² Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.

¹¹ I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

¹⁴ I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and my own know me;

²⁷ As I said to you, my sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. ²⁸ I give everlasting life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. ²⁹ My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. ³⁰ I and the Father are one."

³² He who did not spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?

¹⁹ And my God will supply all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

⁵ Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you or forsake you." ⁶ So we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can humans do to me?"

²⁰ Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an everlasting covenant, our Lord Jesus,

²⁵ For you were going astray like sheep; but now have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

⁴ When the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.

¹⁷ for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne shepherds them, and leads them to springs of waters of life. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

²⁹ When he gives quietness, who then can condemn? When he hides his face, who then can see him? Alike whether to a nation, or to a man,

⁴ There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tents of the Most High.

⁶ "Because this people have refused the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son;

²³ And he will give the rain for your seed, with which you will sow the ground, and bread of the increase of the ground; it will be rich and plentiful. In that day, your livestock will feed in large pastures.

⁹ saying to those who are bound, 'Come out.'; to those who are in darkness, 'Show yourselves.' "They shall feed in the ways, and on all bare heights shall be their pasture. ¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun strike them: for he who has mercy on them will lead them, even by springs of water he will guide them.

¹³ I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited places of the country. ¹⁴ I will feed them with good pasture; and on the mountains of the height of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie down in a good fold; and on fat pasture shall they feed on the mountains of Israel.

⁶ He said to me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give freely to him who is thirsty from the spring of the water of life.

¹ He showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb,

¹⁷ The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." He who hears, let him say, "Come." He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely.

³⁰ to bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of the living.

⁸ Lead me, LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies. Make your way straight before me.

⁷ The LORD's Law is perfect, restoring the soul. The LORD's testimony is sure, making wise the simple.

³ For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name's sake lead me and guide me.

³ Oh magnify the LORD with me. Let us exalt his name together.

¹⁰ Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.

¹² Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit.

⁹ Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of your name. Deliver us, and forgive our sins, for your name's sake.

⁴ Restore us, God of our salvation, and cause your indignation toward us to cease. ⁵ Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger to all generations? ⁶ Won't you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? ⁷ Show us your loving kindness, LORD. Grant us your salvation.

¹³ Righteousness goes before him, And prepares the way for his steps.

¹⁷⁶ I have gone astray like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I do not forget your commandments.

⁸ Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning, for I trust in you. Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to you. ⁹ Deliver me, LORD, from my enemies. I run to you for refuge. ¹⁰ Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

¹¹ I have taught you in the way of wisdom. I have led you in straight paths.

²⁰ I walk in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice;

¹⁶ I will bring the blind by a way that they do not know. I will lead them in paths that they do not know. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. I will do these things, and I will not forsake them.

⁸ 'Look, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, along with the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her who travails with child together: a great company shall they return here.

³⁷ 'Look, I will gather them out of all the countries, where I have driven them in my anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: ³⁸ and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: ³⁹ and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good, and of their children after them: ⁴⁰ and I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good; and I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me. ⁴¹ Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.' ⁴² "For thus says the LORD: 'Just as I have brought all this great disaster on this people, so will I bring on them all the good that I have promised them.

¹⁴ But I worked for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.

⁴ "I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from him. ⁵ I will be like the dew to Israel. He will blossom like the lily, and send down his roots like Lebanon. ⁶ His branches will spread, and his beauty will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance like Lebanon. ⁷ They will return and dwell in his shade. They will live and be abundantly satisfied with grain, and blossom like the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon. ⁸ Ephraim, what have I to do any more with idols? I answer, and will take care of him. I am like a green fir tree; from me your fruit is found." ⁹ Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of the LORD are right, and the righteous walk in them; But the rebellious stumble in them.

⁸ Do not rejoice against me, my enemy. When I fall, I will arise. When I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me. ⁹ I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my case, and executes judgment for me. He will bring me forth to the light. I will see his righteousness.

¹⁸ Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn't retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness. ¹⁹ He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot; and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

³¹ And the Lord said, "Simon, Simon, look, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat, ³² but I prayed for you, that your faith would not fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers."

⁶ to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved One,

¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. Be zealous therefore, and repent.

⁵ Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it for their own. Let a cloud dwell on it. Let the blackness of the day terrify it.

²¹ before I go where I shall not return from, to the land of darkness and of the shadow of death; ²² the land dark as midnight, of the shadow of death, without any order, where the light is as midnight.'"

¹⁷ For the morning is to all of them like thick darkness, for they know the terrors of the thick darkness.

⁶ I am not afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me on every side.

⁵ There they are utterly terrified, for God is in the generation of the righteous.

¹ [By David.] The LORD is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? ² When evildoers came at me to eat up my flesh, even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell. ³ Though an army is deployed against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident. ⁴ One thing I have asked of the LORD, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to see the LORD's beauty, and to inquire in his temple.

¹⁹ Though you have crushed us in the haunt of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death.

¹ [For the Chief Musician. By the sons of Korah. According to Alamoth.] God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. ² Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; ³ though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah.

¹¹ The LORD of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

² The LORD will send forth the rod of your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of your enemies.

⁶ The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can humans do to me?

⁷ Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch forth your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me.

⁹ Make an uproar, you peoples, and be broken in pieces. Listen, all you from far countries. Prepare for battle, and be shattered. ¹⁰ Take counsel together, and it will be brought to nothing; speak the word, and it will not stand: for God is with us."

¹⁰ Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

¹ But now thus says the LORD who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel: "Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine. ² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and the flame will not scorch you.

⁶ Neither did they say, 'Where is the LORD who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, who led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought and of the shadow of death, through a land that none passed through, and where no man lived?'

¹⁴ Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your heritage, who dwell by themselves in a forest, in the midst of fertile pasture land, let them feed; in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

²³ Thus says the LORD of hosts: "In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, 'We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.'"

¹⁰ I took my staff Favor, and cut it apart, that I might break my covenant that I had made with all the peoples.

¹⁴ Then I cut apart my other staff, even Union, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

²³ "Look, the virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call his name Immanuel;" which is translated, "God with us."

²⁰ teaching them to obey all things that I commanded you. And look, I am with you every day, even to the end of the age."

⁷⁹ to shine on those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death; to guide our feet into the way of peace."

⁹ The Lord said to Paul in the night by a vision, "Do not be afraid, but speak and do not be silent; ¹⁰ for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many people in this city."

⁵⁵ "Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?" ⁵⁶ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. ⁵⁷ But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

²² The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.

¹⁶ Yes, he would have allured you out of distress, into a broad place, where there is no restriction. That which is set on your table would be full of fatness.

⁵ The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup. You made my lot secure.

²⁶ The humble shall eat and be satisfied. They shall praise the LORD who seek after him. Let your hearts live forever.

²⁹ All the prosperous of the earth shall eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust shall bow before him; and my soul shall live for him.

¹⁹ Oh how great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the descendants of Adam. ²⁰ In the shelter of your presence you will hide them from the plotting of man. You will keep them secretly in a dwelling away from the strife of tongues.

⁷ You have loved righteousness, and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your companions.

¹⁹ Yes, they spoke against God. They said, "Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?

¹⁰ But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox. I am anointed with fresh oil.

¹⁵ wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man's heart.

¹³ I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of the LORD.

⁶ In this mountain, the LORD of hosts will make all peoples a feast of fat things, a feast of choice wines, of fat things full of marrow, of well refined choice wines.

⁶ who drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the best oils; but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

¹⁷ But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face;

⁴⁶ You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.

⁵³ Jesus therefore said to them, "Truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life in yourselves. ⁵⁴ He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁵⁵ For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. ⁵⁶ He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him.

⁹ I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out, and will find pasture. ¹⁰ The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

²² Therefore you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

¹⁶ The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a sharing of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a sharing of the body of Christ?

²¹ Now he who establishes us with you in Christ, and anointed us, is God;

²⁰ Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

²⁰ But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know.

²⁷ As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you do not need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you remain in him.

¹¹ You make known to me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

¹⁵ As for me, I shall see your face in righteousness. I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with seeing your form.

⁴ He asked life of you, you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever.

⁴ One thing I have asked of the LORD, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to see the LORD's beauty, and to inquire in his temple.

¹¹ You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness, ¹² To the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever.

⁷ How precious is your loving kindness, God. The descendants of Adam take refuge under the shadow of your wings. ⁸ They shall be abundantly satisfied with the abundance of your house. You will make them drink of the river of your pleasures. ⁹ For with you is the spring of life. In your light shall we see light. ¹⁰ Oh continue your loving kindness to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart.

²⁴ You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. ²⁵ Who do I have in heaven? There is no one on earth who I desire besides you. ²⁶ My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

¹⁷ But the LORD's loving kindness is from everlasting to everlasting with those who fear him, his righteousness to children's children;

¹⁰ who delivered us out of so great a death, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will also deliver us again;

¹ For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, everlasting, in the heavens.

²³ But I am in a dilemma between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

¹⁸ And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom; to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
