¹ Oh come, let's sing to the LORD. Let's shout aloud to the rock of our salvation. ² Let's come before his presence with thanksgiving. Today, if you would hear his voice. ⁸ Do not harden your heart, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness,

¹ The LORD reigns. Let the earth rejoice. Let the multitude of islands be glad.

¹ The LORD reigns. Let the peoples tremble. He sits enthroned among the cherubim; the earth shakes.

¹¹⁹ You put away all the wicked of the earth like dross. Therefore I love your testimonies. ¹²⁰ My flesh trembles for fear of you. I am afraid of your judgments.

¹² So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with awe and reverence.

¹ Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest. ² For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard did not profit them, because they were not united by faith with those who heard.

²⁵ See that you do not refuse him who speaks. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned on the earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven,

²⁸ So since we are receiving a Kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us give thanks, through which we may offer service pleasing to God, with reverence and awe, ²⁹ for our God is a consuming fire.
